“The Caterist was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding! From the very beginning, they were highly responsive, answering all of our questions promptly and addressing any concerns we had. Their communication style was fantastic. The quality of their work was fabulous - they completely customized the menu to our tastes, incorporating cultural foods like delicious fried plantain (which our Caribbean guests raved was the best they'd ever had!) as well as using our own family recipe for mac and cheese. They even created custom cocktails for us with cultural twists. The crème brulee station was perfect. The end result was a truly memorable and personalized menu that all of our guests loved. We got married at the Chicago Cultural Center, and while the venue has a number of preferred caterers, FFT was the one on that list that stood out to us. From the first phone call to the final calls and emails, they were so easy to communicate and plan with. Many of our guests said that this was the best food they've had at a wedding, and we agree we them! The hors d'oeuvres, salads, entrees, and custom drinks were all so delicious; everything turned out perfectly.
I also want to give a HUGE shoutout to Kacilynn, who was the one responsible for planning, organizing, and executing everything for us. When we met her for the tasting, she happily answered all of our questions and was just so fun to talk and work with. I had countless questions and updates throughout the planning process, especially in the final weeks, and she was responsive to everything.
One special thing she helped with was the champagne flutes; I had thrifted, cleaned, and packed over 100 champagne flutes for guests to use and take home, and I had been nervous this would be a burden to them to deal with, but she assured me that it could be done. She took the time to help me decide on a display option for them, and her team cleaned them before and after the event and packed away any leftover flutes. Her attention to detail and her ability to pull everything together seamlessly is truly unmatched.

“We had a great experience working with Biagio for our daughter’s quinceañera. Specially with Blanca she is dedicated, honest and always willing to go the extra mile for us. The appetizers, diner, deserts, gelato cart, hot dog cart, delicious! We had all great reviews from our guests. “I used Frank and his team to cater a graduation event in Chicago last week. I was arranging the event from out of town and Frank was very helpful and responsive as we planned the menu. On the day of our event, the team arrived to my daughter’s apartment (with a very small kitchen) and they got busy. The food was amazing and abundant. The presentation was just as great. “Inspired Catering and Events catered our wedding at the Columbus Park Refectory a couple of weeks ago and we’re still incredibly blown away by Liz and her team. From the start, Liz stood out as incredibly receptive and accommodating. This continued throughout the process and culminated in their incredible service on our big day. We truly could not have pulled off our wedding day without her expertise and dedicated work ethic— even more so when we pushed up our wedding by almost a year. Phenomenal bagels/bialy, but I really come back regularly for the Reuben. They take pride in their work and like the sandwiched sky high with fresh incredients. “We recently placed our second empanada order! We ordered a large variety of flavors and every single one was extremely flavorful and delicious! First experience was not as great as our second. First time we did not cook them properly and the texture was wrong! Flavor was incredible but they were too chewy. Make sure to follow all instructions for cooking and they make a great meal!“

“Sparvim and the entire Everyday Gourmet team exceeded our every expectation for our October 2020 wedding. We had a 20-person wedding due to the pandemic and really cared about the quality of the food, plus we had vegans, vegetarians, pescatarians, and meat-eaters alike to please and Sparvim DID IT! Since we had an intimate wedding we really wanted to WOW our families with the food, especially since half of our attendees were used to the often-overlooked vegetarian meal option typically served at weddings. Everyone is still talking about how great the food was. The quality was incredible, the portions were large, and the seasonal touches were just what we wanted. The appetizers were plentiful and were visually stunning. We added an extra course since the meal was the main event for our smaller wedding and I am so glad we did this. Sparvim was very flexible and open to all of our menu ideas. She even created a salad based off of one of our favorite restaurants in California. Sparvim even created a coursed kids menu - she really blew us away from start to finish. She knows her business and was very helpful in making every decision, including the lovely tablescape. Her pricing was competitive and the service was outstanding. Every server was professional and incredibly friendly! The entire team took every precaution regarding Covid which made everyone feel comfortable and at ease.
