“We are so thrilled that we chose to go with Food for Thought for our August wedding! We got married at the Chicago Cultural Center, and while the venue has a number of preferred caterers, FFT was the one on that list that stood out to us. From the first phone call to the final calls and emails, they were so easy to communicate and plan with. Many of our guests said that this was the best food they've had at a wedding, and we agree we them! The hors d'oeuvres, salads, entrees, and custom drinks were all so delicious; everything turned out perfectly.
I also want to give a HUGE shoutout to Kacilynn, who was the one responsible for planning, organizing, and executing everything for us. When we met her for the tasting, she happily answered all of our questions and was just so fun to talk and work with. I had countless questions and updates throughout the planning process, especially in the final weeks, and she was responsive to everything.
One special thing she helped with was the champagne flutes; I had thrifted, cleaned, and packed over 100 champagne flutes for guests to use and take home, and I had been nervous this would be a burden to them to deal with, but she assured me that it could be done. She took the time to help me decide on a display option for them, and her team cleaned them before and after the event and packed away any leftover flutes. Her attention to detail and her ability to pull everything together seamlessly is truly unmatched.

Not only is their menu extensive and their food incredible, they really care about their community, the service is amazing and they always do whatever they can to help you out. “We stopped today and this location after many times to form a nice review and tell you exactly how is in the end after the three visits with that we order a kale salad with the salad was fresh but all the condiments in the salad included shrimp that we ordered with shrimp it was all the way in the bottom and the top you don’t see anything except guess the kale in in the past and the last two visits before is salad coming with cranberries, and this time, it was no cranberries. We order three tacos the Carnitas they was pretty good the tacos but misrepresentative for Carnitas most like it is anti taco home version, and Cocinita pipil if we go for that description, there was very good tacos steak taco we order one and the menu say skirt steak. That meat was very tough flavorless most like it I can say is not a score steak it is another kind of meat, but the marinated and the tenderized can pass for a skirt steak for people don’t have the pallet to identify the kind of meat definitely I skipped the steak. Taco recommended the Carnitas and the salad. The only problem with the salad. It was a presentation was very skinny service was very slow and for some reason, I have that feeling like the people who work over there it is more like a they just wanted to throw it to you the food and don’t put attention and anything else. I think customer service is very poor and the situation atmosphere is OK music from the 80s no Mexican music I guess as go with the flow my point is you can come and give me the shot and think and you see what you like from that place but this is basis and 3B things I did to this location“

“I used Frank and his team to cater a graduation event in Chicago last week. I was arranging the event from out of town and Frank was very helpful and responsive as we planned the menu. On the day of our event, the team arrived to my daughter’s apartment (with a very small kitchen) and they got busy. The food was amazing and abundant. The presentation was just as great. If you want to get a taste of what authentic French cooking is about ( in the comfort of your home) it’s great to be able to stop by his stall and pick up a wedge of pate, a a bisque or vichyssoise, coq au vin, etc.. Phenomenal bagels/bialy, but I really come back regularly for the Reuben. They take pride in their work and like the sandwiched sky high with fresh incredients. When we were doing our tastings, Inspired had a great showing. What sold us on them though, was Tom K. We felt so at ease with him, trusted his experience, and really knew that he would do a great job. He was always very honest with us and has a great energy. When it came to the wedding, the Inspired team was efficient and professional. We spoke to a few members of the team as we were getting ready for the day to start, and they were all so sweet and so enthusiastic! Aside from the service, the food was delicious!! We had also used them for lunch catering earlier in the day, and that food was also great. We used them once more at our Sunday brunch at the hotel, and the food was again, great.
