“This is one of my favorite vegan Mexican restaurants. Chef Patricia is so sweet. I almost always get the Carne Asada burrito but I’ve loved everything I have tried. The nachos & tacso are so good too. The peanut butter cookies are probably the best I’ve ever had. I love the chocolate mini Bundt cake.“

“Tried the express menu last weekend for the first time and was NOT disappointed. Vegan birria tacos (made with perfectly seasoned mushrooms) were excellent, though I have to admit the consomé wasn't, unfortunately. But the vegan soul plate was all good. The fried hearts of palm were tasty and crunchy, the mac and cheese was creamy and not too heavy, the sweet potatoes were Thanksgiving-y, and the greens did their job. And the hibiscus and ginger tea I ordered was delicious! I just wish it was less than a 40-minute drive for me, but what can you do?“

So many guests raved about the food, and after our excellent tastings last year, dinner at our sweetheart table felt like returning to a beloved restaurant for a favorite meal. The only thing better than the food was working with Alyson and the whole staff—they were such kind people, happy to make sure our wedding went exactly how we dreamed, and celebrating with them on our big day was a truly special experience. “I had the pleasure of experiencing Catering Out The Box after winning their service as an auction item at the Chicago Scholars Gala last fall and let me just say… this was one of the best auction wins I’ve actually used. From the start, working with the owners was seamless. We collaborated to create a progressive menu that felt completely tailored to our evening. What I appreciated most was the flexibility. There were plenty of options to choose from, and they were open to curating beyond the standard menu to bring our vision to life. The execution was next level. Their team arrived fully prepared with everything needed. Setup, prep work, bar service, cocktails, table presentation, and serving utensils… all handled. Truly a turnkey experience. All we had to provide was the alcohol and kitchen space. A special shoutout to Sergio, our server, and Chef Berta. The food was fresh, light, and the ingredients were perfectly balanced. And I have to say… having our own branzino each was such a standout detail. Anthony, the owner, personally checked in at both the beginning and end of the evening to ensure everything from setup to breakdown was flawless. The kitchen was left spotless, which says a lot about their professionalism and attention to detail. Highly recommend. We will absolutely be using them again. “After trying Hortiport for a couple of weeks I can say that, compared to the other grocery delivery services, Hortiport eliminates the untrained ‘middle man’. This guarantees your box of goodness will be the freshest and most eye-pleasing, as if you hand selected them yourself! I also appreciated the well curated selection of foodie items from local vendors. (One of whom, coincidentally, is based just 2 blocks from my home!) Helping local farmers and small producers is a ‘feel good’ for me and don’t we all need more of that these days?!“

“If I could give more stars, I would. Over the last couple years I have used many food delivery services, Hello Fresh, Freshly, Cook Unity, and now Wholsesome 360. The difference, QUALITY!!! Fresh ingredients, no fillers, high quality oils and fats, nice portions. Not that the other services are bad, but I compare them to frozen entrees at the grocery store, but taste a bit better. My Wholesome 360 entrees were restaurant quality, but with farm to table fresh ingredients-I could literally taste each of the food elements. If you are considering a food delivery service, I recommend paying the extra dollar per meal to get local fresh meals that are good for you, that heal you.“

“We only have amazing things to say about our experience with Jennifer at Jewell Events. She was super detail oriented and had great ideas that were executed to perfection - from mini espresso martini shooters to serving late night Taco Bell and McDonald's directly to the dance floor (a massive hit with the guests).
The only thing that out did the work Jennifer did was THE FOOD. Everything was absolutely delicious, from the appetizers (shout out to the grilled cheese & tomato soup shooters), to the petite sweets (home made oatmeal cream pies were to die for).

“Catering is such a huge part of your wedding, and it's the part that seemed so overwhelming and intimidating to me. Once we received the list of our preferred vendors and began reaching out to them, Sue from Butter and Vine immediately stood out to us. She was warm, friendly, informative, and hilarious. She was flexible and worked with us through our COVID-induced postponement and changes up until the day before our wedding (seriously!). And the best part--the food was INCREDIBLE. The meals were delicious, creative, accessible, fresh, and plentiful. Appetizers were unique and so tasty--our guests were very fond of the mini Patron bottles of margaritas! Months after our wedding, we still receive compliments that Butter and Vine provided the "best wedding food ever" and "didn't even taste like 'wedding food!'" We are so happy we worked with Sue and her team at Butter and Vine and highly recommend them!“

“It’s about time Chicago gets solid West African cuisine. Dozzy didn’t disappoint. Had the Designer Jollof Rice Bowl and it was delicious. I combined it with a couple orders of the shrimp suya sticks which put it over the top. Now, I loved the jollof, but that’s to be expected. What wasn’t expected was the shrimp. I can honestly say it was some of the best I’ve ever had. The herbs were perfect and it was grilled just the way I like it. I’ve known Dozzy for a long time and I’m so happy he’s sharing his gift to the world. Y’all get some.“

“My husband and I can't say enough good things about Marie's Catering. From the very beginning, Amanda was very helpful in answering our questions, being responsive, and working with us to create a menu that we wanted. We were astonished by how much food was provided at our tasting, all super yummy, and so we eagerly booked them for our reception. We opted for family style so each guest could enjoy all the dishes, and boy are we glad we did! We had DOZENS of guests come up to us that night, and since, RAVING about every dish. Everything being so delicious and cooked perfectly was even more impressive when you consider they served over 100 people. The servers were great and very attentive and even boxed up my husband and my leftovers, which was such a treat we were not expecting. I honestly don't think you could find better quality food, bar package, and service for the price. Highly recommend!“

The atmosphere felt warm, creative, and welcoming, with a strong focus on hospitality and interactive food culture rather than a traditional restaurant setup. The staff was friendly, passionate, and very engaging, especially around the mixology and culinary elements. I tried a few dishes and drinks, and everything was thoughtfully prepared, flavorful, and presented with care, showing a lot of creativity and personality. Overall, it’s a great spot for a more experiential food and drink experience, and I’d definitely come back again.“

“Eat Fine is a special place. Not only is their menu extensive and their food incredible, they really care about their community, the service is amazing and they always do whatever they can to help you out. But most importantly, their food is top notch. There isn't anywhere I know of that makes such delicious, fresh tasting Thai food, and I'm so lucky to have it in my neighborhood. You really owe it to yourself to visit.“

I was having issues with the app/website and used the chat. Moe was so quick to respond and offered to call me when we were both able to walk through the order together. I've visited Christopher's Sunday market a couple of times, and have also had some of his catering through my work, so when I needed a caterer for my wedding he was one of the first people I emailed!
He was able to work with our budget and came up with a DELICIOUS menu using super fresh and local produce. My husband and I went for a tasting before we committed and quite literally had no notes—it was all so amazing. Getting to eat our decided upon dinner was literally one of the things we were most excited for leading up to the big day!
He was very amenable when it came to guests allergies, and worked with our venue (which didn't really have a kitchen...) to figure out logistics on preparing and serving the food. All his wait staff were super friendly too!
Definitely don't sleep on trying Twilight Kitchen. We'll definitely be back soon for more sourdough and pimento cheese!“
