“Their pizza is great. I don't typically order their other food, but as pizza goes, they do a great thin crust. I typically ask for extra sauce, which enhances the crust and balances the cheese. Don't let the 1- and 2-star reviews scare you away (in my brief scan, they seem to complain about delivery times and a lack of people in the restaurant), their pizza is worth trying!“
“Great place and great drinks and food! For any other wheelchair users thinking of going: Bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible though so I’m not sure why it was listed that it was.Wheelchair accessibility: Bathrooms were labeled as wheelchair accessible on google so I just assumed they were. Had a good time and the staff helped as much as they could but just wanted to let people know!“
“All you can eat fish 'n chips days are not to sleep on.The fish is awesome. Batter is thin, golden and incredibly crunchy yet gentle. Very tasty and satisfying! The last time I was there I was quite disappointed by availability of whiskeys. Lots of options were out.Scottish imported beer was there as always and as always great pours with perfect foam head.“
“This was our first time in as we just moved to the neighborhood and we loved it! We had come from dinner but decided we wanted some snacks. We had the fried pickles, pretzels, & ice cream with churros-- I was surprised but oh so happy they had some kind of dessert. The bartender was a super nice guy-- very friendly. He checked on us often and never left us waiting for anything. The interior was really cute and about what you expect for a corner/ neighborhood bar. We will for sure be back-- so glad we gave it a try!“
“Great place and a great addition to the neighborhood. I’ve been here a few times now and enjoyed everything I’ve had. Great cocktails too. The couple that opened it are wonderful people. The staff and owners are super friendly and attentive.“
“Okay, apart from the incredible beers and the fact that the sun shines in most of the day, Spiteful Brewing has the best bathroom in Chicago. 10/10 immaculate, cleanliness top notch, nice marmalade smell and quick dispensing paper towel machine. Epic. Would crawl in a deep hole in this bathroom to emerge like a phoenix through the ashes“
“Original cocktails in an original setting. Very good service, very good drinks that you won't find everywhere (their own touch on the classics too), good ingredients and bottles behind the bar. Pick your atmosphere: you can sit a the counter where it's more like a speakeasy, or at a table in the bustling bar, or in the lobby area of the apartment building where it's more like a quieter lounge. My favorite bar in uptown.“
“Beth M was the most gracious, attentive and thoughtful employee. From the greeting to the final check, she was professional, kind AF, didn’t miss a beat and lemme talk about thorough. She made every customer feel like they were the only customer! That chica deserves a shoutout!Food and bevs - YUMMMMMMM AND vegetarian friendly“
“Chuy is the best bartender AND the fish'n'chips are the best in the city of Chicago, bar none! The cod is so fresh and flavorful, the batter is deep fried to perfection, the "chips" are perfectly done, tartar sauce delicious, and the cole slaw is pretty good too! Great beer selection and wines are good. We will be back!“
“This is a great neighborhood pub! We've come here for all the different meals and have not been disappointed. As they have expanded their menu it has only gotten better. Highlights are the pies, gin drinks, and the matcha latte. It's an unexpected fun spot for breakfast on weekdays too. If we lived even closer we would be here all the time. The ambiance is a traditional British pub which we love!“
“Really cool spot, library vibes with ww1 history. Honestly the spot is very nice from the inside. We got the curry fries, pretzel and the sticky toffee pudding. I loved everything besides the sticky toffee dessert - such hope for that but turned out to be a small cake w caramel and nothing more- It needed iced cream not whipped cream. Regardless this place is actually worth visiting for a casual beer and maybe fish n chips/bangers & mash. Cheers!“
“John is a great guy! And you cant beat the sevice or the ambient feel of a chicago neighborhood bar. We dont go often enough but when we do its spot on...Fyi John thanks for recovering the bithday girls purse( phone) and jackets .....she was a little buzzed ?“
“We met up with friends and family members on Thanksgiving weekend, and had a blast! The band was awesome and made the night- Patrick Bale and the Pale Ales- hope to see them play again soon! The atmosphere is so unique, with character and charm, also artsy and styled- fun for all ages. We didn’t eat but drinks (and shots!) were flowing. We’ll be back for sure.“
“So good! Served up food for 5 people to go in about 20 minutes and every person was super happy with their food! Our favorite place in the neighborhood. Update: still the best place in the neighborhood. Update 2: still our fave, Burger of the week this week (2/8/24) was SO GOOD!“
“The atmosphere is fantastic both indoors and out. Recently I discovers that Log Cabin has a Bocce Leauge on Thursdays! I was so impressed I’m throwing my 50th birthday here this June! The food is great, the beer is cold, the music the best, the fire pits are fantastic & the service is pleasant and kind!“
“We have been going to Michael’s over 15 years and it has a great atmosphere and great service . One of greatest Ruben , Serafín , Bryan and rest of staff including owner Nick. When we go it feels like family . We are very appreciative of how throughout the years nothing has changed we love Michael’s and really recommend it .“
“Attended a group event at Cary's Lounge. Great little bar with an outdoor patio and art gallery upstairs. Bartender was very nice and helped me choose a drink (a special that they technically didn't have anymore but still had the ingredients for) and it was awesome. It was a nice surprise that a friendly cat came up to us on the patio and let us pet him.“
“Goldie's is pretty divey but has all the ingredients needed for a solid night out. There's a dartboard, a pool table, and a TouchTunes, plus plenty of seating and friendly service. Drinks are a bit overpriced (the vodka sodas my friends and I ordered were definitely not worth the price), but they have a decent selection of beers on tap and the overall atmosphere makes up for it. Will be back for some chill nights out in the future.“
“The Cabin is a delightful neighborhood bar, that’s a cut above in cleanliness and decor. Staff are friendly and safety-focused, and the regulars care about the space and its patrons as though it were a second home. The Cabin has created a real sense of Community. Highly “
“Great neighborhood bar. Really good bar food and service. The wings are perfectly crunchy. I'm betting double fried. 14 beer taps and some TVs.Vegetarian options: They have a veggie burger and a panini, hummus, and your typical fried veggie options.“
“Hi guys, just wanna let you guys know the garage bar in sandwiches is a great spot to have food. The service was OK. Not the best but the food makes everything better. Unfortunately the drinks were trash. I shouldn’t say trash because that’s understatement. They are horrible they taste nothing but syrup don’t get drinks or specialty drinks here get anything on tap that was better, good luck“
“The food was delicious, and the portions were large. You definitely get your money's worth. We had the lenten special creamed herring appetizer, and it was outstanding. The potato pancakes are more like a pancake; do not expect the Latke style of shredded potato with onion. They are served with both sour cream and apple sauce. The Sauerbraten has a non-traditional white gravy that tastes good but is definitely different from what I am used to. They have a very good selection of draft beers as well as a good selection of beers in bottles and cans. The Chicken Paprikash had very good flavor and richness to the gravy. The Goulash is tender, decadent, and has a little heat to it. The service can be slow, so it is not a place for a rushed meal. The restaurant area is clean and has a great ambiance. The restrooms are separated, with the men's bathroom being by the front of the restaurant area and the women's being towards the back. The men's room is a little cramped, but that is a necessity for space.Parking: Paid parking on the main street out front with free parking on the side streets in the nearby residential area.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair friendly“
“Pleasantly surprised by this place located on Bryn Mawr between Kedzie and Kimball. The initial impression was that the prices on the menu seemed a bit high given its location. And some dishes like hummus plate, which consisted of cut up carrots and cucumber with pita bread and a large spoonful of hummus, was not worthwhile at $14. Same goes for a bowl of Irish cabbage soup for $10. Having said, other items like chicken wings and burgers were quite delicious and were worth paying little more for them. Given their great beer selection and wonderful cocktails, it is worth a visit.“
“My husband and I have been coming here for years. The owners, Chris and Nikki and the bartender, Monica are always welcoming and take good care of us. Nice atmosphere, good company, lots of tvs if you want to watch the game, great music playing in the background. The food is always very good and freshly made. Some of our favorites are the chicken kabobs, the Jerry's Special, and the burgers, which are excellent! Half price martinis on Wednesdays with a long list of options to choose from. We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday there and they were very accommodating and everyone had a great time!“
“Awesome neighborhood bar in Roscoe! My wife and daughter wanted to visit a bookstore, so my son and I visited here just two doors down. It was pretty busy for 3 pm, but we got a hi top table and placed our orders right away. We had a couple of Old Styles, and I tried the Krombacher pilsner. It was the beer of the month and very good. My wife and daughter joined us about an hour later and had a couple of drinks. This seemed to be a less expensive bar than most we visited in Chicago. That's always a good thing! Service was outstanding! I can't get over these beautiful Chicago bars. Long and narrow. Awesome architecture. Perfect setup here at Village Tap! Will definitely try and make it back here on our next visit to Chicago.“
“This is one of my go to neighborhood bars with my fiancé! They have a special on the menu each weekday and it's always slightly different so you never get bored with the menu. During the summer time I love sitting at the patio with our dog. The service is pretty good as well. Definitely recommend as a chill go to neighborhood bar to grab a bite to eat and hangout with friends“
“If your into dive bars, this place is a must!!! As soon as I walked in, the first thing that I noticed was the patrons. Everyone was in the their 'fave' seats, I was very particular about where I chose to sit. I sat down, none of the patrons barked or grumbled at me, I guess I'm in a 'safe' seat. I was very intentional about speaking to the bartender John and trying to 'squeeze' into one of the convos that involved the patrons. After a few drinks, I felt like the vibe in the room was loosening up. I asked John if I could take pics with my 35. He said, "There's no one in here with a 'side piece', take as many pics as you want". I made an announcement to the bar. I said that I would be taking pics of the bar only and these pics are exclusively for me. Everyone was Kool about it. But one guy insisted that I take a selfie with him. I was honored!“
“I live nearby and had been meaning to check out this place, finally got around to it after almost a year and it's a fantastic neighborhood spot! Friendly folks of all backgrounds who go out of the way to chat you up, reasonable drink prices, cute dogs, nice bartender...what more could you ask for? I'll be back soon!“
“we still had a great time at our show, very cute place, but the staff was a little bit rude to be honest :-/ not in just a direct/blunt way, but just flat-out rude in sort of a pretentious way is the only way i can put it. people have off days so i’m not discrediting the venue at all!“
“The Corrib Irish Pub is the perfect place for a night out or just simply to grab a drink. The atmosphere is amazing and the music is great. It's an old school style pub with great service and delicious drinks. It's definitely worth a visit.“
“Fun neighborhood bar! They have a TouchTunes machine so you can play your own music. Great beers and cocktails, and Thursdays are $4 wells. Also a gay lgbtq ?️? friendly establishment. Come see Stephanie the bartender. She’s warm welcoming and makes incredible drinks!“
“My fiancé and I recently hosted our engagement party at Grace and Leavitt and loved every bit of it! It was a perfect venue for our private event of ~50 people. We received many compliments from our guests on the space and cocktail menu. The bartender Jenna was also super helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend G&L!“
“Clark Street Dog, a fun little bar that has all the charm that a Chicago bar should. The food is some of the best, the wings are always juicy, and the Philly is a must. If you’re unsure, make sure to consult with Ancella. Who’s amazing and vibrant personality really brings this place together. Come here for a quick beer, or bring friends for a couple shots. Either way fun ensures.“
“A lot of investors are confused and go into deep research, for a trusted and legit platform to trade and invest in. I was also looking for the best not until I read good reviews and recommendations about Mrs MELISSA CRYPTO, With her great skill of trading and mining made a good profit for so many in their trade account. I was amazed how happy many investors wrote good comments about her. I contacted the amazing account manager MELISSA ,and invested with her with believe, and“
“This is a cool spot in Highwood. Nothing really stands out as exceptional, but everything was pretty good.I got the rueban sandwich because we were there on St Patrick's Day. It was ok. The plain French fries were very average, but the truffle fries were much better. The calamari was good, but the other appetizers were not so much. The goat cheese was bland and the crab cakes were small and mushy.I had an alcohol free cocktail and it was good, but not $9 good. The cheeseburger and chicken sandwich were both loved by our dining partners. The service was pretty slow, but I'm sure they were under staffed since it was a holiday weekend.“
“Excellent food, service & atmosphere! Home cooked meals there for dinner too. Weekends really delicious roast dinner w/ good side dishes. Good drinks & nice atmosphere. Even Irish music on Sunday afternoons! Always a good experience there every time. I highly recommend checking this place out! ❤️“
“I like the food at this bar delicious and the excellent servers. The only reason I give this place a 4-star is the fries. For some reason, they are always super salty. The chicken tenders are super good and a must-try, crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside.“
“We were a large group that had many people getting tattoos and a larger group of those offering support while hiding from the needles! We had great service and a fun atmosphere! Drinks & Ink made a special drink for us. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time! Very nice bar!!!“
“Great coffee, great daytime staff. But it seems like an afterthought to what is pretty much a loaded cocktail bar catered to business crowd when they clock out. Would love more food options for breakfast-goers, this is a very bustling and business-centric area and I feel like this can get overlooked with much more popular bars in the area.“
“Wonderful find great Irish Pub, we were looking for a new go to after the Curragh closed down in the area and this is it, food was amazing my wife and I both had the Shepherds Pie and it was surprisingly good along with a some tasty homemade brown bread, along with the perfect pour of Guinness the vibe and feel of the place was great the service was great even on a Saturday night..great job guys,5 stars all around, our first visit and won't be our last...☘️“
“Hubby and I loved this place! Ashlee is a great bartender and makes your experience most memorable! The food is great and the drinks are superb! Had a great time with the regular patrons, they made us feel very welcome and glad we stopped by. Cheers!?“
“Lots of fun and laughs , a very enjoyable and affordable club , bartenders were speedy and knowledgeable on latest drinks . Definitely a neighborhood staple . Also plenty of parking and an incredible beer garden . A must visit place on the west side of Chicago.“
“Bartender is an OG professional. Was working by himself for 30 customers and nailed it. First time at the pony for me because I made a trip to visit my college roommate, and just so happened Louisville was scheduled that day. 100% will return for another UK game if I’m in the area again ?“
“Absolutely, Delicious.. Definitely will come back!’ Cook is a chef.. everything I tried was delicious.. pizza#1 salad, bean soup & the $2 hot pepper with garlic & parsley was amazing! Waiter#1 so friendly & makes the best cappuccino.Garlic bread.. yummy!!!“
“We very much enjoyed the service drinks and food. Apps we tried were Brussels sprouts broccoli (basic but garlicky good), fries. Entrees hamburgers and crispy chicken. All were very good. Apps were not hot and that was the only complaint t. Drinks were fun and we all liked our choices except pear vodka drink was too sweet.Parking: 5:30 we found a spot close.“
“First time at this place. Food and drinks were excellent. Our server , Paige was awesome! Tyler the manager was so accommodating and pleasant. All employees were very friendly. Espresso Martini’s were outstanding! Currie fries were delicious. Chicken pot pie … yum. Cherry pie desert … to die for! Love the atmosphere as well. Can’t wait to go back!“
“Hi. Nice to see you. So here I am. Out again. I know, I know, shocked , you are. So. This place. It’s nice. Actually very cozy indeed. Good fresh beer at good prices. They may , in fact have mixed drinks too. I might not know. What do you want from me? I m not sure you need to answer that. Anyway, very cozy place with touchtunes , which, I , for one, appreciate. Cmon by. ?“
“This is a perfect neighbor hood bar. The bartenders are amazing. We see Chevo and Jane every time we go there and they take great care of us. It is pet friendly so we get to play with random dogs while we're in there. They have a dart board and a private patio out back with heaters, and they serve the best frozen pizza you can ask for. What more could you want from an alcohol providing establishment?“
“The Low-Key Vibe: Cunneen’s is like that cozy sweater you’ve had since college—slightly worn, but oh-so-comfortable. It’s not a dive bar, but it’s not trying to be the next hipster hotspot either. Trendy cocktails? Nah. Micro-brews? Maybe if you squint. A wine list? Sure, if you count the grape juice in the corner. And table service? Darling, you’re at Cunneen’s—order at the bar and pay with cash. They don’t take Venmo, but they’ll gladly accept your Monopoly money.Origins: Cunneen’s was birthed by Steve Cunneen, a med school grad who decided that curing diseases was overrated. Instead, he opened this joint with his buddies. Ed Holstein & Bill SavageIn Summary: Cunneen’s is more than a bar; it’s a neighborhood institution. So grab your pocket change, leave your pretensions at the door, and join the chorus of laughter. Because at Cunneen’s, everyone’s a regular—even the clock.Disclaimer: The above review contains 100% more whimsy than your average Yelp post. “During many of my reviews, I left my camera bag on the restaurant floor because I didn't want to disrupt their business by pulling up a chair for another table. However, the server here gave me an extra chair and took care of my camera bag. I've never experienced such hospitality in a restaurant before. And when I needed something, all I had to do was raise my hand, and the server would come over to me. -Seafood Jjampong Stew: It was really good. However, I wish they had more seafood. -Oden Soup: it was on the house. Even my daughter, a picky eater, said it was excellent. My personal opinion is that the service was top notch and the flavors were good enough to give this place a 5 star review. If you're a fan of Korean food, this is a must-visit on your next trip to Chicago.“
