It was so fresh and turned out absolutely beautiful. They made the experience of designing our cake so easy and I trusted them throughout the whole process. Such a timeless design and the size was absolutely perfect. They exceeded our expectations and we will be going back for other goodies and may make it a tradition to order a cake for our wedding anniversaries. Highly recommend!! “

Good and interesting food selection, with stellar staples and a rotating menu of specials, plus periodic changes to their main menu.I have enjoyed Egg Harbor in other locations for decades and I have no complaints about this one. Staff is persistent cheery and imminently friendly. Food and ingredient quality is consistent and always on par with other quality brunch joints. You won't necessarily find the most experimental items in the world here, but they do push out some interesting specials.Prices aren't cheap, but always on per with restaurants of similar quality and actually have not increased as massively as others with inflation. They treat their staff notoriously well and I have personally seen a guy I like go from a busboy with low English competency to a floor manager. Gotta love that.Dietary restrictions: The staff is ready and quite willing to adjust menu items to accommodate any dietary restrictions they can. They aren't heavily focused on this and probably can't, for instance, guarantee they've eradicated all traces of gluten from most meals, but they are glad to do what they can with no stress.Parking: The parking lot is a bit of a pain to navigate due to its design, but you can park both in the front and back and you'll never find yourself lacking.Kid-friendliness: Egg Harbor is Notoriously kid friendly. “Hands down the best pizza I've had in my life! This pizza deserves all the hype and attention it receives. The flavor of the sausage and the buttery crunch of the crust is a combo that I feel can't be duplicated. I went with my wife, sister in law and niece. Everyone had the same review, AWESOME! The wings were pretty good as well, I'll say 8 out of 10. Our waitress was super friendly and sweet. The atmosphere was like a classic pizzeria from back in the day, and it was pretty nostalgic. My review is that if you're ever in Chicago, go check them out. You won't be disappointed.“

“Our server was very attentive. We always love coming here for lunch. One of the bus boys spilled a glass of water on me. He did not handle it great and barely apologized. The maitre d saw what happened and right away asked if we were ok and offered to comp our lunch, seeing how I was pretty drenched. It was super nice and exactly how I would have expected it handled. “We went to Shakou for dinner a couple of weeks ago for the first time. I can say that service was amazing - we were served by a new waitress ( she was still in training) but she did an excellent job providing perfect customer service. She was there when she was needed and provided space for us to have a great date throughout the evening.The food was on par with the service. We ordered miso soup, ahi tartar and salmon carpaccio for appetizers. For entrees we had diver scallops and jumbo shrimp dish and chicken teriyaki entree. Both appetizers and entrees were very delicious and we would definitely order it again. One thing I wanted to note that the scallop and shrimp entree is quite small, so make sure to get an appetizer (I was glad we did, because the scallop entree alone would not be enough for dinner for me - it is so good though I could probably eat two of those ?). For dessert we had chocolate lava cake a la mode and chocolate pyramid - both were pretty good, but lava cake is definitely the winner between the two.Overall, I definitely recommend this place. It has a city vibe to it, so louder than most suburban places, hence attracts younger crowd. 5 starts ?“
“West Town Bakery opened another location! They have branched out to the suburbs and created an awesome space with a connection to OKAY dispensary. This place is awesome. The bakery continues to impress and by the way has the most FABULOUS gluten free selections, I LOVE the cake balls! There is also a very cool inviting lounge attached to OKAY which I highly recommend visiting as well. Now I hear they are expanding and opening a new location in Evanston in early 2024, can't wait to see that. “Sunday morning midday, I thought that there would be a wait for a table, but they were able to put us at a table by the kitchen/bathrooms. I've dined at Egg Harbors throughout the years and the menu seems pretty consistent although they did have a lot of new coffee drinks. My Bacado (bacon-avocado) omelette was fine, with a generous portion of avocados. This came with an English muffin and diced potatoes. My companion ordered the avocado toast and they said their over medium eggs were cold. Otherwise a fine breakfast. Our server made sure our drinks were filled and even offered to provide Togo containers for them. Easy to pay with QR code on receipt.“
