“Delicious! We saw the recommendation on Dine In/Dine Out Lake Bluff /Lake Forest Facebook page. So we decided to try it tonight. We were NOT disappointed. Service was friendly, nice casual dining spot. Great bar choices. The meal was delicious - we had the skirt steak and the flavor was top notch. My meal came with 4 shrimp and prepared well, not spicy. The flavors were yum and truly can’t wait to go back. From reviews the seafood looks delicious. We will try that next time!“

“We've not been there since 2017 due to relocation but have nothing but fond memories of Dover Straits. When we bought our house in Grayslake in 1995, our realtor took us there to celebrate. We continued going, mainly for birthdays, anniversaries or impress out of towners, and were never disappointed. We have immediate access to super fresh seafood in Florida but miss the ambiance and supper club vibe Dover Straits provided. Loved that the owners always greeted us like we were worth a million bucks.“

Every bite was satisfying, and you can really tell they use quality ingredients. 😋 It easily compares to some of the well-known seafood boil spots I've visited before, so I was pleasantly surprised by how good everything tasted. 🌊 The portions were generous, the seasoning was just right, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. 😊 It’s great to finally have such a fantastic seafood option close to home without having to travel far. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon and recommending this place to my friends and family!“

However, I ordered the special cut up version of their ribeye steak, and while prepared perfectly, the quality of the cut did not meet my expectations. At least 30% of the portion was inedible gristle, making the $48 price point a poor value. I would not order this steak again.“

“This is our family's favorite restaurant for birthdays, anniversaries, dinners with large groups...At this point we've been here probably 10 times and never once have we had a bad experience. Every server goes above and beyond to ensure that you have a WOW experience. The food and drinks are amazing every time. Last night we decided to try somewhere new since we just ate at Primo the previous weekend. The prices were the same yet the service and food did not compare. “We dined at Froggy’s on Valentine’s Day, and had a wonderful time! This was our first time ever here, even though Froggys has been here for over 40 years! The interior is warm and inviting and we were welcomed in and seated promptly. Our server Peter was terrific all night, personable, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was truly a delight! We had Beef Wellington and Chicken Cordon Blue. Both were delicious and our overall experience was really great. We highly recommend this place and we will be back!“

“I’ve been going to Tokio Sake for last 10 years. The food is amazing and the variety of Sake to choose from, the Chefs are creative and consistent . Not many places carry bluefin tuna but Tokio Sake does. Sashimi is fresh and kitchen entrees are outstanding.“

“Not gonna lie, we were a little concerned trying it based on the previous reviews, but our experience was excellent. We opted for dinner at the bar and started off with the delicious lobster roll. For dinner we went the seafood route and had the salmon risotto and the pan fried redfish with polenta. Side dishes were the local mushrooms and potatoes au gratin. Everything was cooked perfectly, came up quickly, and the service at the bar was on-point. Considering the amount of food we had and a few cocktails, we felt the price was very reasonable. We will not hesitate to stop in again.“
