Service was friendly, nice casual dining spot. Great bar choices. The meal was delicious - we had the skirt steak and the flavor was top notch. My meal came with 4 shrimp and prepared well, not spicy. The flavors were yum and truly can’t wait to go back. From reviews the seafood looks delicious. We will try that next time!“

“We've not been there since 2017 due to relocation but have nothing but fond memories of Dover Straits. When we bought our house in Grayslake in 1995, our realtor took us there to celebrate. We continued going, mainly for birthdays, anniversaries or impress out of towners, and were never disappointed. We have immediate access to super fresh seafood in Florida but miss the ambiance and supper club vibe Dover Straits provided. Loved that the owners always greeted us like we were worth a million bucks.“

“I have been going to this place for the past number of years and every single time the steaks are cooked perfectly. I actually requested “medium rare plus“. Cooked, char grilled perfectly. Highly recommend the cowboy ribeye bone in. All food, including the sides and even desserts are outstanding. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. Quality of the service matched the quality of food. it’s nice when the experience and quality of food and Service matches the cost. Well worth it!“

“This is easily one of my favorite places for Mexican seafood! 🌮🦐 Every visit has been delicious, and the amazing flavors always keep me coming back for more. 😋 The fried red snapper is perfectly cooked-crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside. 🐟 The octopus and shrimp cocktail is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and without a doubt one of the best I've had in the area. 🍤 The prices are very reasonable, making it a great spot for a family dinner or even a quick takeout meal. 😊 The portions are generous, the quality is consistently excellent, and the service is always welcoming. “This is our family's favorite restaurant for birthdays, anniversaries, dinners with large groups...At this point we've been here probably 10 times and never once have we had a bad experience. Every server goes above and beyond to ensure that you have a WOW experience. The food and drinks are amazing every time. Last night we decided to try somewhere new since we just ate at Primo the previous weekend. The prices were the same yet the service and food did not compare. From now on we'll stick with here, where we know we'll have an amazing experience.“

“We dined at Froggy’s on Valentine’s Day, and had a wonderful time! This was our first time ever here, even though Froggys has been here for over 40 years! The interior is warm and inviting and we were welcomed in and seated promptly. Our server Peter was terrific all night, personable, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was truly a delight! We had Beef Wellington and Chicken Cordon Blue. Both were delicious and our overall experience was really great. We highly recommend this place and we will be back!“

“Not gonna lie, we were a little concerned trying it based on the previous reviews, but our experience was excellent. We opted for dinner at the bar and started off with the delicious lobster roll. For dinner we went the seafood route and had the salmon risotto and the pan fried redfish with polenta. Side dishes were the local mushrooms and potatoes au gratin. Everything was cooked perfectly, came up quickly, and the service at the bar was on-point. Considering the amount of food we had and a few cocktails, we felt the price was very reasonable. We will not hesitate to stop in again.“
