“I stumbled upon this place by accident and I’m glad I did. The food is the *Byrd Bomb*
I would’ve never thought to put pickles and cole slaw on top of chicken and fries but it works.
My only gripe with the Oak Lawn location, in particular, is the night crew! I have to check my food before I leave because they keep messing up my order. I got all the way home one time and there was no 24k sauce on either order. My bf went in on a Sunday evening around 8pm and was told they weren’t taking any orders, although they were currently preparing an order for someone. The hours state that they close at 9pm so why aren’t you taking orders at 8pm?? Recently I ordered the same thing again, checked before I left and everything looked as it should. However, I get home, and there’s barely any cole slaw on either order. Also, I mentioned no spice on either order. My son mentioned that his was a little spicy and he couldn’t finish it. I noticed mine was spicy as well but could tolerate it. This is ridiculous that my order continues to be incorrect, or you’re turning away business because you don’t want to do your job. Then you try to compensate by giving out free drinks and the order is still incorrect. Not looking to get anyone fired (especially in this economy) but this needs to be looked into.“

“Captain Hook’s Fish & Chicken is so good and always hits the spot. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and just flat-out better than anywhere else. They’re always open when I need them, and the taste is consistently amazing every time. I literally drive 30 minutes just to come here, and that should tell you everything. I have a Sharks Fish & Chicken near my house and it does not compare at all. Captain Hook’s is on a whole different level.“

“First time here, and it was fantastic. While waiting for my dining partner to arrive, the place was mobbed in minutes (6 pm on a Friday), but the 2 counter staff and the kitchen staff never stopped moving. We got our meals fairly quickly, considering the rush. The best thing? The food was great! Perfect seasoning on the fries, the tenders are HUGE (like 2 and a half combined into one monster piece).

I got the Tender / Mini / Fries combo, and my wife got the Mac combo.

The spices are perfectly balanced - I had mild and medium on my chicken, my partner had mild on hers. She has a much more timid palate, and she was good. If you get mild on the Mac combo, make sure the sauce on the Mac matches the chicken sauce - otherwise, that's *a spicy*.

I can not compliment the counter staff enough - they were moving so fast. I told the one she should try out for the Chicago Bears; she did a supply run in 10 seconds flat! Even the customer next to me agreed! =)

“It's a take out place. (Not dine in). I ordered curry goat with cabbage and yams and was very pleased with my meal.
The goat was tender and not overcooked (which happens alot when ordering goat). The flavor was excellent!
The cabbage was very good and the yam was just ok. (Gave me one large yam piece)
It included the rice &beans which were very good and well seasoned.
It was also a Great portion size for the price. I recommend and will visit again.“

They also look just really put-together and stylish (just an aesthetic thing I noticed). It's also really clean with real flowers on each table, and just very pleasant. “I stop at this Raising Cane’s all the time, and it’s consistently one of the best-run locations I’ve been to. The staff is always upbeat, the drive-thru moves fast even during rush hours, and the food comes out fresh every single time.

My box combo was perfectly cooked — crispy chicken, hot fries, and the toast was on point. The Cane’s Sauce tasted exactly how it should: creamy, tangy, and fresh. You can tell the team here pays attention to quality.
