I knew of a place that was better than Canton for a while but that place now serves too many veg and skips out on chicken beef or shrimp. So maybe now carton is among the best Chinese spots in north Chicago.“

This place actually surprised me with how much I loved it all! The crab rangoon filling is different than I've had before, it was so creamy and they were excellently filled. The bubble tea was delicious and a large size.
The wonton soup was the shining star that prompted me to write a review. I love this soup and always have to prepare myself for the oily feeling in my face. Not only did this soup not leave me feeling salted up, it was so tasty and fresh! The wontons were delicious and the green onion on top was crunchy.
I'll be coming back for more soup, it's worth the drive for me!“

“Fried shrimp jianbing was a delectable combination of so many textures and flavors wrapped up in a freshly griddled crepe. The textural contrast between the shatteringly crispy wonton sheet and the soft, chewy crepe was downright addictive. Every bite was flavorful: smoky, savory, slightly sweet, a little spicy, and wildly satisfying. It's the comfort of street food in one messy, glorious handful.“

Quesadilla was hot fresh and tasted great good cheese to chicken ratio. Salsa was watery so I feel like it didn't pair well with the quesadilla, more like a hot sauce.“

The Kung Pao Chicken is one of my favorites along with their Pork Fried Rice, but I have enjoyed many of their dishes - BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, Pot Stickers, Beef Chop Suey on crispy chow mein noodles - all delicious. The servings are large - plenty to share or take home for tomorrow's lunch. All the staff are friendly and efficient, and you can eat in, pickup or order delivery. Try House of Wah Sun; you won't be disappointed.“

“Loved the food here! I went here with friends and family for the first time, very memorable! We went as a larger group of around 12 people. At first the staff told us that we would have to wait 30 minutes, but instead they decided to push a few tables together—so we could sit. It was very kind and thoughtful of them!! I absolutely loved the food, the sanji and dumplings being my absolute favorite! My least favorite dish was the chili pepper chicken, it tasted acidic and me and my friends ate the rice rather the chicken. Its personal preference though, so you might like it! “Asian Bistro is hands down one of the best Asian restaurants I’ve been to in Illinois.

First I got the egg rolls and my wife and I both agreed they were very good. I do think they could use a bit more Chinese five spice or something to make them a bit more flavorful. The one thing that is great about this place is they master the Chinese and Korean dishes. The Cha Chiang Mien (Korean jajangmyeon noodles) is a popular dish here and it’s no wonder. It is so decadent and amazing! Loved this so much!!! Also had something very unique and equally amazing and that was Spicy Noodle Platter with shrimp, squid, pork and veggies in a savory spicy sauce. Other than that I do have to say they're sweet and sour chicken is probably the best around. They're fried rice is also delicious. I am a FAN of chinese food, but no where around suburbs and chicago will you find such FRESH food! Veggies are perfectly done, meat is perfectly cooked! Sauce is amazing taste! I had their Happy Family Dish , Chicken fried rice and Khan Pau Chicken .

A lot of Chinese American restaurants can have a sort of mass produced feel and use the same suppliers but you can tell a lot of love and pride goes into the food here.“

“I love this place.! The food has always delivered for me. I have been ordering from this place for a long time now. That being said recently I have noticed that the smoky chicken that I absolutely love from this place (no other place around me seems to have smoky chicken option) has had a bit of a texture change from how it used to be sometime ago. It seems to be a little more fried/crunchy rather then tender which is where it is the most delicious. I can't describe it exactly but I know it does not have the same texture as it once did. It is still very good regardless and I will continue to get it but I hope this gets seen and maybe offer some kind of explanation but I recommend this place!“
