“I was impressed with my stay at this hotel while attending the Powder & Bulk Solids 2023 Conference. Breakfast buffet was excellent; the staff were professional and ultra-helpful and could not be more pleased with my experience. The hotels in the Rosemont area are all interconnected via corridors, connecting to the Donald E. Stephens convention center and several restaurants. Regardless, the area is packed with entertainment, restaurants, and shopping. Well done!“

“So, Babe had a taste for a blueberry muffin. We decided to stop in here. They did not have any muffins available at the moment BUT they had a blueberry donut. Needless to say, we walked out with a dozen assorted donuts. I've already eaten 3 and my taste buds are EXTREMELY satisfied 😍 The staff was super friendly and the establishment was very clean. Everything looked so delicious. I know we'll definitely go back again to try other pastries 😀 $21 for a dozen donuts. Definitely worth supporting a small business as opposed to Dunkin Donuts. . “OMG WOW! Amazing bakery! I go to tons of bakeries & I think this is the best one in Oak Park & one of the best in Chicagoland! I LOVED everything I tried from the cookies, to muffins to scones. Super high quality & extremely fresh products. Some of the pastries were still warm from the oven as I got there right at 8 am when they open. Even then, there was a little line out the door. Many people got coffee drinks but I didn’t this time. They also have $2 wonky cookies (just weirdly shaped cookies) that are a great deal. I tried: chocolate chip cookie, banana bread, vegan chocolate muffin (extra delish), goat cheese chili scone (excellent) & the wonky birthday cookie (amazing & buttery - melts in your mouth). Can’t wait to go back & try other things! Please note the place is tiny with only a few tables & chairs & there’s metered street parking so I took my order to go.

10.25.24 update: the kale salad done is truly amazing! The toasted coconut cake was sooo good and the chiffon cake was delightful. The savory corn biscuit was good but I preferred the scone, which is totally worth traveling for.“

“This is the best Japanese bakery around. I have been coming here for years. The bread is so delicious you can eat it by itself and it is also the perfect bread for sandwiches and even French Toast. “So today I had a friend in from out of town and we topped off our afternoon with a visit to Miski Bakery. I was dying to try the alfajores, and they did not disappoint! The very delicate morsels melted in our mouth, and the creamy luscious dollop of dulce de leche caramel was a perfect pairing. In addition we tried the Milhojas/Napoleons in two flavors the Lucuma pastry creme and also the dulce de leche. A thousand layers is correct, these were amazingly tall, crispy and filled with air, both were delicious but the Lucuma(a Peruvian fruit) pastry creme was the standout. It had such a delightful delicate flavor I had never tasted previously. After speaking with Carmen the owner I asked whether or not they ever carried Turrón de doñja Pepa. She just happened to have some freshly baked sitting on the tray behind the counter, but alas it was still awaiting its filling. This gives me a great reason to return and indulge in that special treat. It is prepared every other week. The service was warm and friendly. This is definitely a hidden gem in the neighborhood you shouldn't miss out on. I will be returning often.“

“I drove up north from Andersonville after hearing great reviews about New York Bagel & Bialy fresh baked bagels, and was not disappointed. We went Saturday morning, around 10am. There was a line out the door, but it moved at a reasonable pace without anyone rushing around. It probably took no more than 10 minutes to order, and another 5-10 minutes to get our New York Breakfast sandwich and bagel/spread. They have a great selection of fresh baked desserts and sweets, which I'll be getting next time! Great price for the quality and quantity, and easy to share.“

“Worked with them for our wedding cake. I am gluten free but not many of my guest were, they suggested doing a GF topper and regular cake for the bottom two layers. They also suggested making the two types of cakes different so that the servers would have a visual distinction between GF and regular. I really appreciated them being able to accommodate my diet and also offer advice for my event. Of course the cake was beautifully decorated and absolutely delicious, our guests raved about it all night.“

“I love the new cookie releases every week. It's fun to check the app weekly to see if they have any flavors I would want to try. I'm finally rating crumble 4 stars because crumble has come out with mini versions of their cookies weekly too. The app is amazing as well because you can accru points for freebies. Sometimes, the cookies can be to raw for my taste at this location or there not enough sauces or toppings, but it just depends on the flavor and batch.“

“Do not miss a chance to get a sub from this wonderful shop attached to the bakery here. The ladies inside were very friendly and welcoming and the sandwich was a 10 out of 10. Fresh bread, fresh ingredients, I even watched her snip a few basil leaves off their basil plant in the front window for my sub. Just a really fantastic little shop. Be aware it is cash only but please don't let that stop you.“
