We had crispy egg rolls, tom yum soup, delicious seaweed salad with cucumbers, and salmon fillet with rice topped with a large mound of fresh Asian style vegetables. “Food was served in black plastic bowl not bad but it felt like a microwave food. Portion is reduced from before. Service was okay, not much of interaction after normal service. The atmosphere was clean, while no one else ate in the restaurant. (Around 8ish). It was hard to find a table that is NOT near a garbage can or close to the restroom or close to the entry door(cold from the outside)“

“This place is a local gem!!!! Everything I've ordered was fantastic! Love their pot stickers, crab rangoon, and their egg rolls! Kenny makes all the sauces in house!!!! The smoothies and Japanese sodas are faves with my kids. Wonderful spot and great people that work there!“

“I came to this restaurant in February of this year for my birthday, and 6 months later I’m still thinking about this ramen and trying to see when I can go back. Had the Monster Ramen and it was the most flavorful ramen I’ve ever tried. Definitely excited to go back and either get it again or try something else, I’m sure everything they have is just as good.“

“My husband and I haven’t had thai food since our honeymoon in Thailand, and this place hit the spot! The khao soi was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the Tom Kha (his favorite soup in thailand) and it was the perfect spice level for him. We shared the crab egg omelet and that was also phenomenal. Highly recommended if you want a taste of genuine Thai cuisine.“

“This is a popular place and it is well managed. It has an extensive menu for diverse tastes. Please be aware that portions are huge. The two dishes we ordered for both of us could have easily served four persons. The low mein with shrimp was especially good. The fried rice dish with fish was very average. This restaurant was only about a 15 minute walk from our hotel and that was a + for us.“

“I really appreciate how clearly the vegan or vegetarian options are listed. They are able to make a few things vegan and a few things are already vegan. Their smoked tofu, although extra to add, is really good. Not bland and mushy like many omni places. They also have a happy hour 4-6 with a few vegan options! I got the chili peanut noodles with tofu and loved it. I also got the corn fritters to start, great just the dipping sauce isn’t vegan fyi.“

“[Pho Restaurant Name] is a hidden gem that elevates the humble bowl of phở into something quietly remarkable. The broth is a masterclass in patience — crystal clear, deeply aromatic, and rich with the essence of slow-simmered bones and spices.
I had the P7, and the rare beef melted effortlessly into the broth. Accompanied by fresh herbs, lime, and crisp sprouts, each bite felt personal and deeply satisfying.
Service was gracious, the space calm and inviting.
In a world of culinary trends, [Pho Restaurant Name] stays true to its roots — and in doing so, offers something far more enduring.“

“Some of the best Thai food in the city. Our favorite dishes include their mooping, chive dumplings, satay, pad Thai, and all the curries. The curries aren’t overly sweet like I’ve tasted elsewhere, and their pad Thai has just the right amount of tamarind to make it legit. Thank you for high-quality Thai food, R Haaan.“

“Would rate 5 stars if they made their Pad see ew dishes less oily!! Would also love to see drunken noodle available on their ubereats menu. Their vege fried rice with shrimp is really good. The tom yum I had was WAY too sweet. Dishes are hit or miss but I like ordering here. If you take in the feedback, you will be my fav!“

“Manooben is the cutest little hole-in-the-wall! It's cozy, homey, and owned by the sweetest Korean mama and papa. The kind of place that makes you feel at home. The name of the restaurant is an acronym for maki, noodle, and bento lol. So cute.
I tried the hand roll combo. Two massive hand rolls, packed with fresh ingredients, and a bowl of homemade udon that hit all the spot. The broth was simple but flavorful. It was clean and refreshingly light. The hand rolls were absolutely perfect. I'd go weekly for this combo if this place was near my workplace.
I also tried the spring train maki. The texture and flavors were solid, but those rolls are so fat and hearty, it will fill your whole mouth with every bite. You can really feel the love from the papa chef with those fat cuts.
Lastly, I tried the sashimi rice (Hwedupbap). The bowl was massive, and I wanted one at home so bad. This dish is also very simple, fresh sashimi over rice, drizzled with their homemade sauce. I love a good homemade sauce. I ended up squeezing that sauce onto every bite cause I love my food saucy.
Such a small place, full of love! I can't wait to go back.“

“I was wondering around by myself trying to find a hidden Chicago gem and I stumbled across Penny's Noodle Shop! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is incredibly welcoming. The workers are so friendly, warm, and inviting, making you feel right at home. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and cooked to order, which really makes a difference. They have a great selection of Asian cuisine, with something for everyone to enjoy. Plus, the location is fantastic, making it a perfect spot for a quick and satisfying meal near the ballpark. Highly recommend!
Had the Hot Pepper Noodles with Beef and the Gyozas. Both were fantastic“

“The food here is really good. They use high quality ingredients, authentic flavors, and great spice. The dried chilli hot sauce is made in house and is so good, I always ask to take some home. This is not your typical Americanized Chinese food. I will ksep coming back. They also have a full bar, which is great.“

“We had a great meal here! The food was super fresh and tasted amazing. The seafood, especially the octopus and shrimp, was cooked just right, and the broth in the soup was so flavorful and comforting. Everything was really well-prepared, and the service was friendly too. Definitely a spot we’d come back to! ❤️ Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5“

“Ben’s is my go-to Thai restaraunt. I’ve ordered takeout from them loads of times and have always been happy. The portions are generous and I feel it is a good value for my money. My favorite is the chive dumplings (although they stick together so I wish they would package them differently). They also have a weekday lunch special that is a good deal.
I saw someone mention how they didnt like their food and had a problem with the to-go cups having a lot of ice in it. I believe they freeze the styrofoam cups with water so there is a cup-shaped large ice cube in their to go drinks. Simple solution is to ask for no ice :)
I’ve never dined in, but it is your standard small hole-in-the-wall Asian restaurant with just a few tables. No frills. Good food.“

“I dropped into this spot for lunch on a whim and was pleasantly surprised by the chill vibe, the great playlist, and the attention to service.
The service was quiet and friendly, and the lunch special was delicious at a great rate. I would recommend anyone with a sushi itch go here for a scratch. I hope to come back soon for the other things on the menu.“

“I haven’t eaten inside the restaurant yet but we order take out almost weekly. We recently moved to the suburbs from Chicago and have been disappointed with the Thai places we’ve tried. We’ve finally found our go to place to order from! Food is always delivered still warm and fresh. You can choose your spice level and even the medium be quite spicy so order accordingly. We love this place and hope it stays around!“

“Love at first bite!
I can't say enough about how well both lunch specials tasted. Peak level of flavors and a warm touch of authentic family cooking. The pad thai sauce was amazing and an instant recommendation. The Pad kee mao noodles texture were tender and bouncy. The spice was above medium and enhanced the meal. The teas had a balanced sweetness and plenty of textures.
The music playlist matched the cozy and bold color pops. The staff were very friendly and offered some samples of the delicious Ube ice cream. Over all my new favorite Thai restaurant and will explore more of the menu.“

“A very casual nice little Korean restaurant. The Seolleongtang was pretty good but I have had better in other restaurants (oth cities). It’s a bit weird that the place is called Seolleongtang and featuring Selleongtang, but actually I think the Wang Galbitang was better. The huge beef ribs in it were very satisfying. The chicken gizzards were also pretty good, no gamey tastes. Will come back if in the area.“

“We were just in the Niles location after basketball. Of course our son was starving. Eric that took our order was so polite, wonderful and made good suggestions. He even came and brought our to go order to us as we had sat at a table. It was a nice gesture instead of just calling our name. 5 stars for Eric and his smiley face name tag.“

“Mike is hands down the best real estate agent in the greater Chicago area. Moved to the Chicago area blind with no prior information and Mike did an excellent job in helping me find my current home within 1-2 months of me moving here. Great detail in video tours as well for those who are out of state.“

“I live near the Chicago Marathon, and it’s rare to find a Chinese restaurant in a residential area. I have to say that the price is really cheap, and the portions are American-sized. Three people ordered a portion of fried rice, egg rolls, and a bowl of hot and sour soup, and there was more to take away. go back. There are also additional snacks, which together with the service fee are $26. It's a pity that I was too hungry and forgot to take pictures. It's really worth recommending.“

“My first time ever having authentic Thai Food!
It was amazing! Not perfect, but cLose!
I had the Drunken NoodLes Spicy 10 with Tofu!
It was actually spicy. Needs just a little something idk. Maybe cardamom.
My picture doesn’t do it justice. And I can’t even finish. It’s so freakin yummy!
I rate it 9.3/10“

“Akai Hana has been in business for over 30 years, and the steady traffic means the sushi is fresh and safe, offered at a good price. However, the ambiance is lacking, with an outdated, cafeteria-like vibe and cheap-looking menus. It’s a solid spot for a quick, no-frills sushi meal, but not the place for a special dining experience.“

“The first time I had the food here, it was amazing. I’ve been to Che Thai about 10 times in the past five months—great service every time!
Some of my favorites are the Tom Yum soup, Basil Fried Rice, and Tom Yum Rice. The wings are good too!
There are a few women who work here, but there’s one in particular who is so nice. I absolutely love when she prepares my food—it’s always consistently good 😊.
On the flip side, the younger cooks don’t seem as passionate when it comes to preparing the food. It doesn’t quite taste the same when they’re working. Maybe they’re just getting started or aren’t fully invested yet—I’m not sure.
Overall, I’d give this place an 8/10. Thank you!
Once I get her name, I’ll come back and update this review.“

“My friend and I came here on a trip to Chicago, and be warned: it is amazing. Got a Kao Soy noodle and a Thai iced tea, both were excellent. The Kao Soy is amazing and one of my favorite noodle dishes I've had at a thai restaurant. The restaurant was hot, though, so during summer bring a fan“

“If you’re a fan of authentic Thai noodles, this place is a must-visit! Every Tuesday and Wednesday, they serve delicious and authentic Thai noodle dishes at incredibly affordable prices. The flavors are rich and perfectly balanced, just like you’d find in Thailand.
The restaurant is always bustling with customers, which speaks to its popularity and quality. Even when I arrived as early as 6:00 PM, there was already a line, and I had to wait for a seat. However, the wait is absolutely worth it.
I highly recommend visiting this place if you’re craving authentic Thai noodles. Just make sure to go early and be prepared for a little wait—it’s all part of the experience!“
