“Service and food are EXCELLENT! I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! Perfect place for a special occasion. We had a Ribeye with Kona rub cooked to perfection! Salad and mashed potato sides. Delicious dessert beautifully served with fresh raspberries and strawberries. Absolutely one of my favorite restaurants. We were here for a celebration and the staff made it all the more special! Lots of attention to detail. Highly recommended! And perfect ambiance, classy, warm, and friendly.“

“We had the best time here for an early dinner before heading downtown for a show. Highlights of the meal are the French Onion Toast and Ricotta Gnocci. They also have a mocktail menu which had some delicious drinks on it. Will definitely be back soon!“

“Favorite bar in Chicago, champagne menu you won’t see at very many places that is well under priced restaurant markup with staff that’s knowledgeable, the btg offerings are also options you won’t likely see elsewhere.
The oysters are always fresh and great quality, and the ability to order caviar by bump is a fun way to introduce people to caviar without spending a ton of money.“

“I had a great time wine tasting here! We sat out on their patio, which was secluded and quiet. The perfect armosphere for a catch up with friends or a date night. The food is delicious too. My favorite was the shrimp ceviche. On Wednesdays, they do happy hour specials on tasting flights! I really enjoyed the Mediterranean white flight. Their broader wine list is also incredibly diverse, representing many regions and flavors. I’ll definitely be back!“

“My girlfriend and I went in after a long day of traversing the city. The hostess Amy was very nice! She told us about the area, gave us wine recommendations and had given us the background on each one before finding the perfect drink! Would recommend to anyone looking to have a good night out!

“Obelix is always fantastic! We went on a Monday and they were super busy, which is awesome to see. On Mondays they offer 1/2 price bottles of bubbles and also had a selection of pastries available (sooo good!!). Top notch service from the entire staff and Ashley, our server, was lovely. We'll be back again soon!“

“Visited Chicago while on our anniversary trip and booked here on a whim. Loved everything from the interior and ambiance, the chance to see the masters at work at the chef’s counter, and of course the food.
I still dream about that burger and these dishes we had. I remember the taste of the white salsify with mussel — I learned that day what salsify was.
food: 5/5 no notes. their tubs filled with pickled goodness were so fun! everything was delish!
service: all the staff was great, our waitress was attentive and efficient. she left us alone and came over when called. the chefs were very cool! we got to watch them while at the counter and they gave us some stories. they even comped us for our anniversary dessert and my fiance still thinks about their ice cream LOL
atmosphere: sexy, moody, intimate. all the good things of a date night. and a great playlist!“

“Great wine selection, very friendly staff. The food was okay (we had muhammara and the breads were underwhelming compared to the main portion and the wines). It's a darker room, gives it a cool vibe for sure. Seating was very comfortable.“
“What a fun little bar! It's decorated with massive amounts of concert posters and artwork prints all over the walls, with the back rooms feeling like you've stumbled into someone's living room and you have a cocktail in your hand.
There are wines at various tiers, cocktails with tons of customization options, straight-up beer (Hamm's is $5 for a can at time of writing and is served with a fun twist to make it extra cold) and even specialty larger-format beer bottles.
You can sit at the bar or at the various seats and couches in the back. The music was at a super comfortable volume for conversation.“

“We’re FoF, Fans of Fiya. We’ve been there a zillion times. The last time we were there, which was this past Friday night, we listed all the people we had introduced to the restaurant. “In a town known for great steak restaurants, EJs, is my favorite. Their steaks and seafood are outstanding, their sides and desserts wonderful, and their wine list never disappoints. Throw in a cozy atmosphere with wood paneling and the smell of the fireplace. The best part is the service. From the moment you arrive until you get back in your vehicle their service is unmatched with a staff of professionals who have been there for years. I highly recommend EJs and look forward to our next visit!“
