“After ordering from all six Chinese restaurants that are in South Elgin or bordering on Elgin, I can confidently say this restaurant has the best Chinese food in the area.

The food quality and flavor is not only on par or better than all of the others, but the pricing is the most fair as well.

With respect towards the other Chinese restaurants, I don't see why I would order Chinese food from anyone else while this establishment is around.“

“Really loved it. I usually have low standards when ordering food in general but they blew my expectations. It was clean; the person who answered our phone call and greeted us was really friendly. The packaging was well done and the food itself was amazing. It wasn't overly oily and we got dumplings they were stuffed really enjoyed the food. I fell in love with the food when I just smelled it fell in love more when I eat it. 100/10 would recommend. The entire experience was wonderful.“

“We went on a weekday for lunch. 2 dishes were good. 2 dishes were bad. I would go back for the 2 decent dishes.
The server was an older asian lady and she had no patience. I asked what was the most popular dish and she seemed annoyed, and said I don't know. I'm like ok. It's what u get from most older Asian servers, I understand as an Asian person. We care more about the quality of the food. Honey Beef was superb, excellent. And good portion. Orange chicken on point too. Now, the let down was the sautéed squid dish. It reeked of fishy smell. Like, as a seafood connoisseur, squid lover and avid foodie, I know, that is not how a squid dish should taste like. But I didn't want to fight and I knew better than try to send it back cuz as a chinese restaurant I highly doubt they would take it back. But it was truly terrible. The last dish was Korean style noodle soup. This was not tasty. Not disgusting like the squid. But the noodles were just so bad tasting. Not soft and chewy but coarse and tasteless, the broth was ok. But also bland. I might go again for the beef. But seafood here never again. Or noodles.“

“Quite honestly one of the most pleasant experiences I've had dining in. The dining room is very calm and nice, it's exactly as pictured in the reviews and they had great 90s grunge music playing too, that and the lucky cat statue were my favorite parts :). Aside from my favorite kind of atmosphere the people were so polite and kind. The service was amazing, when I let them know my allergies they made it very easy and simple. They brought out the food fairly fast too with really good sauces and everything was hot and delicious. I highly recommend the bbq pork fried rice and the eggroll. “Lao Sichuan has the most authentic and consistently amazing Chinese food to be found anywhere in the U.S. Having spent some time living in China while I was in undergrad, there are certain flavors that I crave, which your run of the mill American style Chinese restaurant will not have. My wife and I live in St Charles and make the 1 hour 20 minute round trip at least once a week to get our fix. The food is that good. The owner is seemingly always there, and obviously genuinely cares about ensuring quality in what is served every time. Our favorites are Chengdu Style King Pao Chicken, Ma Po Tofu, Beef in Pure Cumin Powder, Toothpicks Lamb, and the Xiao Long Bao. I cannot for the life of me fathom how this restaurant does not have a higher rating. It is the best. Try it. You won't regret it.“

“This place is located at a Chinese supermarket food court yet they offer great Taiwan food. I brought my Taiwanese friend here once, now she is willing to drive back just to have meal here. We ordered the stinky tofu, tofu is very flavorful. The veggie pot is so delicious that I saw from someone else sitting there and I could not help but to ask the name of the dish.“

The sauce is incredible! Perfect mix of spicy and sweet. And the Fried Chicken Wings are very tasty, cooked to perfection.“

Crab Rangoon is delicious, potstickers are fried and unique, all the Chinese takeout staples are top notch. I hope they never change! “This place has some of the best Chinese food I have found near Hanover park/streamwood/Bartlett. Mongolian Beef is more traditional (spicy and not sweet, packed with beef, white and green onions and includes the crunchy white noodles). The fried rice with shrimp came with good size shrimp. The crab Rangoon is also packed with filling and you can tell they change their oil frequently. We also enjoyed their beef lo mein and sesame chicken. Their food is not salty, but if you like that add a little salt yourself to bring out a tad more flavor. Don’t plan on dining in, it’s not the greatest atmosphere. It is clean but clearly meant for carry out first.“

“Very Good! Went here with my family for a family dinner and it was the best first experience. Firstly, the area is very quiet and nice with lots of parking space. Secondly, the food was great; we ordered combination fried rice, Sesame Chicken, Wonton Soup, Chowmein and crab rangoon. All of the food we ordered was delicious but my favorite was the combination fried rice. The staff/worker were very nice and friendly as well as recommending us what was good to try as a first customer which was very helpful. The atmosphere was quite and very clean. It was a great first experience and would definitely go back. I recommend everyone to go try it!“

“The incense in the restaurant is very nice. I ordered shrimp egg roll (crispy) and potstickers. I can tell the egg rolls are homemade, and you'd be surprised how.manu places don't make them from scratch. The pot stickers are delicious and homemade as well. I was a tiny bit unhappy that my order wasn't ready when I got there, but the online ordering platform scheduled it for their exact opening time, so I'm going to give them a pass on that. Hope to try other things sometime.“

“My husband and I randomly stumbled across Five Spice Kitchen one date night and it quickly became my favorite restaurant. We've celebrated many birthdays and anniversaries here and love bringing people to try the great food. Everything we've tried is absolutely delicious! Christina and Betti are always so warm and welcoming and the rest of the staff is very attentive as well. When you're done with your delicious meal, walk past the partition to Cloud Tea for some boba!“

“I visited this restaurant on my way to work. Even though they were short-staffed, the service was excellent. Both employees were very kind, and the place was clean.
The food looked fresh and freshly made. The woman who helped (Lorei) me was very attentive, kind, and professional, and took the time to make sure everything was right. I’ve worked in restaurants before, and I can confidently say their customer service is very good.

“Ordered online and given a “ready by” time of 6:13pm. My son volunteered to pick it up and sat in their parking lot for over an hour. Finally ready for pick up at 7:14pm. Food is great, but they need to revamp their online system to accurately reflect when it will be ready!“
