“The wonderful lady at the register was kind and respectful. I really enjoyed the chicken and how it was cooked. The presentation of the tacos were nice and appealing. It was quite place but I was obviously there around lunch time so I good portion was men getting lunch while working. Good place to stop by for a good and decently affordable meal.“

“Went all in and got the Cheez-it crunch wrap.I had heard it's got a shorer life span than the tostada based one. In the app you can customize it so did easy sour cream and nacho cheese to help it (added some jalapenos) $7.65 with tax.It was good, a novelty really, I can see why it gets soggy, the cheezits pulverize under the slightest pressure, the crunch wrap gets put through a panni press to toast it. I gobbled it in the parking lot before running some errands and it was as I described. Get the jalapenos, get the extra lettuce. All and all a tasty treat.“

The birria tacos were around $18 and they were very good. My only complaint is that the meat itself could have had more flavor, I think it was not properly salted. But it was cheesy, meaty, and crunchy. They gave me a ton of consume, too much. That didn’t have as much flavor as I would have wanted either, and salt would have helped. But you could just add salt and everything would be 2x as good.
The rice and beans were pretty good.
Also, the salsas that they have are unfortunately not to my taste. They are very spicy, and I love a spicy salsa, but they lack balance and are very one note. They are spicy without any depth or acidity. You may like this kind of salsa.
But the family was very nice and the food was all very good depending on your tastes. Very high quality and I will be coming back again.“

“Oooooorale’! We found another hidden gem! (Well not really hidden, lol) este restaurante está riquísimo! For all of you non-Spanish speakers, this place is delicious! It looks small from the outside, but it’s enormous in flavor! It’s a very cute and nicely decorated place. Staff is incredibly nice and helpful. But the food… it rocks! We ordered the Orden de Quesobirria and a Carne en su Jugo and a Agua de Jamaica (hibiscus water) and a Horchata (rice water). The Carne stew was delicious! So many levels of flavors. “I stopped by with my toddler and was immediately greeted by staff. Ordered the breakfast burrito and a taco and rice for my daughter and the food was delicious. The rice was flavorful, the tortilla was fresh and the best part was the agua de Mango. Will definitely have to stop in again and try other items on the menu.“

“An absolute neighborhood gem! The food was fresh and delicious. From the minute my husband and I walked in we felt super welcomed. The owner, Dr. Lulu is so kind, funny, and welcoming. We live in the neighborhood and decided to give it a try. Great pozole, great nachos, fantastic lengua, asada cut for tacos is perfecta and tasty, and the fish tacos are actual fish—sooo good! We enjoyed the hospitality and we will definitely be returning! Try the café de casa! Delicious! It was also very nice to see how many regulars she has. You could tell everyone enjoyed Dr. Lulu’s bright personality .“

The yuca fries with chimichurri were on a whole different level; truly out of this world. I paired everything with two glasses of cabernet, which made the whole meal even better. The ambiance is quiet and comfortable, making it a great spot to unwind, and the location is super convenient. What really stood out, though, was the staff. “I tried out the carne asada taco dinner. It came with a scoop of rice, a bean puree, and three tacos. The were tacos very big and delicious and I felt full just eating two tacos and the sides. I was also given a complimentary soup that was in some savory broth, it tasted like fideo. For the quality of service and the price, I think this is a good spot and I would come back again.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and I can’t stop raving about the experience! From the moment I stepped in, I was impressed by the vibrant atmosphere and welcoming staff. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh—seriously, even the water tasted super refreshing, which is a rarity!

I decided to try the marlin ceviche, and it was a game-changer. The marlin was perfectly marinated, bursting with flavor, and the presentation was beautiful. For my main dish, I ordered the huevos rancheros, and it did not disappoint! The eggs were cooked to perfection, complemented by a rich and savory sauce that tied everything together. Both dishes were so good that I found myself savoring every bite.

“Don't walk, RUN! Get the Mexican street corn 12/10. The birria pizza was phenomenal. Huge, easily serves 2 people! Only $25! The chips and salsa were great. Chips light not heavy. Salsa thick and great smoky flavor. Best Mexican food I've had in Chicago area.“

“We were looking for a place which would come to your home with their outdoor grill and cook for our guests.
Although there are many, all require a minimum of 50 guest and the cost is huge. My husband would always pick up tacos from Taqueria El Kacheton, he suggested we ask them if they cater for a small gathering. Luckily they said yes. The cook arrived early to started cooking, everyone LOVED the food. GREAT choice. The cook was professional and attended to what are guests wanted.“

“The machetes are so good! Their cochinita is really good too! Just a heads up, their prices do not show on the board as the screen is messed up. Make sure to ask before ordering for the price. Love that their Playlist includes pop hits of the 2000's and 2010's.

“I ordered a half-diablo, half-green chilaquiles, while my husband opted for the morita ones. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The diablo chilaquiles were definitely made in hell, hahaha! Our favorite part was the side potatoes. The food tasted like breakfast made by grandma! The portions were huge; we only managed to finish half of it. And the coffee had that homemade taste. We’d go back for sure!“

“We have been lucky to attend this hall on multiple occasions from a production company standpoint. The hall is not the best for sound reinforcement as you will need a separate rig pointed to where the main entrance is to ensure you will have even coverage for all patrons. However, it is a minor detail that with the right professional shouldn't be a problem. The catering was very good and the space looked very nice. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a nice event space.“

It can be pricey to some, but worth it and they do different deals on different nights so it’s worth checking them out.
