“The dumplings are soooooo good. Staff was friendly and answered my questions about some of the dumplings

If it weren't so far away from where I live, I'd be here all the time. I had to take a special trip 40 minutes just to eat here, but it was worth it! I can't wait to come back.“

Liang's Chinese Cafe Chinese • $

“In this food court Liang’s Chinese Cafe had the longest wait line by Asians and it was worth tasting authentic Chinese food. Their noodles were popular. I got to try their spicy pig stomach which was definitely spicy but that was to be expected. As for the food? Not bad, as the Chinese say. I look forward to coming back and trying other dishes.“

“A Chinese friend took her family here recently and recommended we visit. The food was delicious and I was absolutely delighted to see the shrimp dish we ordered came with Prawn Crackers (Shrimp Chips) which are served as standard in British Chinese restaurants but never in the US. Both the main courses and appetizers were lovely. The service was fantastic, attentive, and they worked very hard to make sure we had everything we needed. You really can't ask for more. Many Thanks.“

“A food court filled with restaurants serving authentic Chinese cuisine. The food here is amazing. I would gladly trade the Americanized strip mall version that passes for Chinese food in the US for the delectable cuisine in this food court!“

“Growing up, Di Ho used to be the epicenter of the small western suburb Asian community. It was where I tried proper Taiwanese beef noodle soup for the first time and became obsessed. For a long time, I associated the best beef noodle soup in Di Ho with the store front on the far right. Today, I learned that this shop owner has since moved to the Oriental Food House aka 'Taiwan Xiao Chi' store front on the far left. For 37 years, this true mom and pop shop has been working on their craft to serve the community and I can attest that they've still got it. Do a flavor taste test and see for yourself - and of course, support this small business.“

International Mall Chinese • $

“This is not a traditional “Mall”, it’s few stores and businesses on the ground and second floor. What most of us come here for are the authentic Chinese restaurants on the main floor. These are not fancy or fine dining but solid food at a reasonable prices. Check out Chinese Cafe in the center, specifically on weekends they served traditional Taiwanese breakfast that’s hard to find.“

“I got stinky tofu and beancurd soup with peanut, yotiao, etc. they are really good price, but the food is not that good. The tofu is not stinky, not fermented, just regular deep fried tofu with sweet and spicy sauce on raw cabbage. The tofu flower is like jello, not really good either. It’s cheap enough so just grabbing a bite is fine. Oh yotiao is good guess you’re, at least!

But the pig ears is really good, I would just get the small premade dishes and soymilk and yotiao next time!“

“This restaurant is tucked in a massive, mostly empty building near an Asian grocery store. It gives the vibes of Beijing post 2008 Paralympics when all of a sudden no one made things look good for westerners. It’s cash only.

Despite appearances, this is the most authentic Chinese food I’ve had since I was in China in college! My husband and I went back multiple times while we were in town. It was great each time. They have an extensive menu so given that it’s not a bustling place, I’m not sure if the more eclectic dishes are super fresh. But again, you’re getting authentic cuisine and that’s sometimes part of it!

The jiao zi are amazing! The portion sizes are great for the price. You can’t get them in this amount or for the cost anywhere else in the Hinsdale or Oakbrook Terrace areas. Definitely recommend!

Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian option for potstickers, dumplings, 2 tofu dishes, and sautéed mixed veggies. They may be able to make other vegetation dishes upon request.

Parking: Parking in front of the restaurant is full up front but the lot itself is quite large. We did not struggle to find a place to park

Kid-friendliness: The building is a wide open floor plan with tables to accommodate families & groups. If a toddler needed to run, there’s lots of space to do that away from others eating. The bathroom, however, would pose a challenge for diaper changes. This building is so massive though that a nursing mom or a diaper changing dad could tuck away in one of the corners and have more privacy than a changing table in a multi stall bathroom. It’s dimly lit on the outer room edges away from the restaurants.

Wheelchair accessibility: It’s all one floor. There are double doors to go through that may not have an operational hands-free opener. The floor layout has multiple tables with chairs and a free wider, open sections to get to the restaurant counter to order“
