“This place was AMAZING! The food, service, and atmosphere was all 10/10. First off, the owners were incredibly kind and helped us and checked in with us. Also the food was so delicious. You can tell they spend time making their food and it was all definitely fresh. All of our food came out piping hot and fresh and was so delicious also great prices by the way. “My girlfriend and I recently visited. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was really good, it reminded me of visiting my family in japan, who I have been missing a lot recently. I did find the 20% service charge a bit surprising. I did not see any signage for it or any notice on the menu. I was unsure if it was meant to take place of a tip. I also found it a bit odd that the wait staff would speak to me in Japanese, however, around my girlfriend (who was also using japanese and ordering from the japanese menu), they would speak in English only.“

“It was our first time there. There were many tables open but they sat us right by the front door facing the door dash orders to be picked up. Then our server was abrupt and forgot to bring us our drinks until we reminded him. He was nice but almost like we were an inconvenience. Might have been better if we were sitting in the main part of the restaurant. Food was really good which is what made it a decent experience“

Immaculate tempura and generally have your order ready quick and fresh.

I got the Edomar Tempura plate and loved it.
I especially love how when you get the plate they include the grated daikon in your tentsuyu! The only place in the US I've seen even include it.

Absolutely try it out if you haven't yet. I highly recommend any combo that includes a shishito pepper with it!“

“If you like chocolate then this is definitely a place worth visiting. There is an interwebs video thingy about how they make the chocolate which inspired us to visit. The chocolate is more european in style, and also not too sweet. I loved it and also exploring the japanese market nearby. A fun afternoon!“

“We were so excited to have found this new place for yummy sushi poke bowl! We adore that modernized look of the restaurant and there are a lot of variety of poke bowls to choose from. My boys like the mushroom and California rolls sushi while I enjoyed the spicy hot fish poke bowl a lot. The staff and owner were super friendly and nice. The place was stylish, neat and clean. “I’ve been going to Tokio Sake for last 10 years. The food is amazing and the variety of Sake to choose from, the Chefs are creative and consistent . Not many places carry bluefin tuna but Tokio Sake does. Sashimi is fresh and kitchen entrees are outstanding.“

The Udon noodles are always perfectly cooked. They offer fresh tempura flakes, green onion, ginger, sauces, and seasonings on the side as well. Highly recommend trying! “Went to Yakitori Toritetsu inside Mitsuwa Marketplace, The setup honestly caught my attention right away. It looks like one of those little street grill spots you’d see in Japan. Small counter, grill going, smell of meat in the air… yeah, that smell pulls you in fast. No line when I got there. Staff was friendly but very straight to the point. Order, grill, done. Food came out quick.

It’s basically meat on a stick. The grill gives the meat this nice char on the outside, slightly smoky, and the inside stays juicy. The chicken I had was really tender, soft bite, not dry at all. Each piece had that salty grilled flavor that hits right away, then the smoky taste follows after. Hard to explain but it’s really satisfying.

I did think it could use just a little more seasoning or maybe a stronger glaze… but honestly the simple salt worked. It lets the chicken flavor come through more.

Simple food. Skewers, grill, done right. Sometimes that’s all you need.“

“Curry has good flavor. Yakisoba has good flavor, but mixing the two in the same dish was too much. The yakisoba also comes with thinly sliced pork mixed in so it's not vegetarian. The karage chicken had good crunch and was soft on the inside but seemed over priced for the quantity given. There's a good variety of side sauces that you can put in to go cups yourself at the counter. The wasabi soy sauce was the best. There's a long wait time.“

“Really good place! I was expecting generic Chinese but I was pleasantly surprised. I asked the owner if the egg foo young was made with real eggs, or eggs from a carton. He was kind of shocked at the notion he would use eggs from a carton and assured me it was made with fresh eggs and freshly-made vegetables, like he would not be caught dead doing it any other way. That gave me a good feeling about the place - he clearly had pride in what he does. We had a vegetarian and a celiac in the party and he was very understanding and respectful of their needs. We are picky eaters but were all very happy with our meals, which were really good. Big portions too!“
