Just not what I normally expect at an ice cream “shoppe” (shoppe with that spelling always has a quant vibe), with quotes on the walls about dead humans and such. Clearly a lot of love goes into the decor, and I’m not tucking anyone else’s yum- hence the five stars. But I did worry that the mannequins and paintings might give a young kid some nightmares. Fortunately he mostly looked at the ceiling, which is a super cool cloudscape. So, yeah. Amazing service, ice cream, and super friendly… just feels at odds with the decor.“

“If you are a fan of Ice cream, this is a great place to go. With dozens of ice cream flavor, package candies such as chocolate covered cherries, and half a dozen Sundays this is a great place to go.
The restaurant has a lovely antique vibe with little stereos at each table and a glass memorabilia case filled with the heritage of Margie’s Candies.
The service is great, you get your food within minutes of ordering. All the waiters are very nice and can help you pick your order. You’re seated quite fast and can easily have a to go order if you would like.
I would say Sundays are their specialty. The Sunday comes with hot fudge, wafers, and three scoops of your choice of ice cream. The portions can be shared or finished on your own. If you don’t want all that or for some reason that doesn’t sound appealing you could also get a shake. The shakes are very good, they aren’t too thick and aren’t watery. The flavor is very good and can easily substitute for a meal.
Margie’s is a great place to go whether you want a Sunday or if you looking for a fancy treat. Margie’s if a wonderful affordable way spend your afternoon.“

“Came in with a friend who had never had boba before. The owner(?) recommended her a flavor and offered to make her a different kind if she didn't like it. She had brown sugar, I had taro, and my wife had a caramel latte boba. All were delicious! We also got the mini pancake bites which were fantastic. The owner(?) was super nice and gave us free water as well. If it wasn't a 40 minute drive for us we would be here all the time!“

“I remember Oberweis from my childhood so I’m so happy to discover they have a location downtown! They have new flavors now and of course their fridge is stocked with the classics. The coconut is outstanding as is Abuela’s Chocolate. There are regular flavors and some (Rum Raisin!) are so creative and delicious. And the paletas! “I visited here yesterday for the first time and I absolutely loved it! First off, it has such a quaint vibe that is welcoming and calming. Then, the lady at the counter greeted me warmly and explained a bit about their options. I ended up going with a box of five truffles: traditional, cookies and cream, coconut, coffee, and strawberry. At first, I was a bit concerned about the price, but when I took that first bite, I realized it was worth it. Each of the truffles I tried were so delicious, genuinely the best chocolate I've had in so long. My favorite was the cookies and cream, as it had a perfect balance of the cookie crumbles with the chocolate inside. I also really enjoyed the coconut, which is saying a lot as I don't usually like coconut, but this truffle had the perfect amount of coconut where it was not overwhelming but complemented the chocolate. The worker also gave us a free sample of their fudge gelato which tasted great as well! She also mentioned that they add a little something special in the boxes if it's a gift for someone, so this would be a great gift for any chocolate lovers you know. Definitely worth the price and 5/5 stars all around, will be going back very soon!“
