Just not what I normally expect at an ice cream “shoppe” (shoppe with that spelling always has a quant vibe), with quotes on the walls about dead humans and such. Clearly a lot of love goes into the decor, and I’m not tucking anyone else’s yum- hence the five stars. But I did worry that the mannequins and paintings might give a young kid some nightmares. Fortunately he mostly looked at the ceiling, which is a super cool cloudscape. So, yeah. Amazing service, ice cream, and super friendly… just feels at odds with the decor.“

“Awesome little spot! My family and I stumbled over it just because it was a local spot which was just walking distance from where we live. Even though Ice cream can pretty much sell itself, this spot's customer service was on point. The lady helping us behind the counter was nice and helpful. Another guy came from around back to greet us and handed all 4 of my kids gum off the display rack. We all got ice cream or milkshakes, while I was waiting I noticed they had little Hispanic street food menu. I ended up ordering some "Elote" with Flaming Hot Cheetos. I would upload pictures, but I finished the elote before I could get home. We will definitively be back soon.“

“Came in with a friend who had never had boba before. The owner(?) recommended her a flavor and offered to make her a different kind if she didn't like it. She had brown sugar, I had taro, and my wife had a caramel latte boba. All were delicious! We also got the mini pancake bites which were fantastic. The owner(?) was super nice and gave us free water as well. If it wasn't a 40 minute drive for us we would be here all the time!“

“Came here with the first time with my wife and we absolutely loved it! The food was very unique; It was a fusion of Mexican, Korean, and Indian food. We ordered the Korean BBQ tacos and the chicken tikka pizza. Food came out fresh and right out of the oven. The customer service was also exceptional. The owner was very accommodating despite there being a large party before us. After having our food, we made our way to the ice cream station. They had so many flavors!!! From green tea, ube, strawberry cheesecake, Cookie Monster, etc. They even had specialty popsicles that I can only get when I’m in California or Mexico. This place is a gem. “Let’s face it. There are La Michoacana ice cream stores on every other block on North Clark. We stopped here for dessert and it’s easily our favorite! The helado (ice cream) is to die for! The coconut is outstanding as is Abuela’s Chocolate. There are regular flavors and some (Rum Raisin!) are so creative and delicious. And the paletas! The BEST Arroz, Fresa, Mango, Coconut...the list goes on. And the couple that run the place are just the sweetest people! Highly recommended.“

“Immigration continues to benefit this country in so many ways, even foods we consider US staples are being perfected by communities of new Chicagoans bringing their unique skills from abroad. Before we had paleterias in Chicago we were limited to a few boring flavors in chains like Baskin Robbins. In my opinion, the best ice cream in Chicago is found at paleterias and Paleteria Las Delicias de la Michoacán is the best in Rogers Park. There are endless unique flavors to choose from here, all of the ice cream is made fresh onsite and every flavor I have tried is delicious! You cannot beat the quality and variety of flavors that Paleteria Las Delicias de la Michocana offers.“

“As a self-proclaimed boba connoisseur and lover of local businesses, I was hoping to add another to my growing list of affordable, quality, and quaint boba joints.

Instead, I opted to try their small selection of quality ice creams. Only 6 flavours are available, but it's extremely customisable and the staff is very accommodating.

I was absolutely blown away by the vanilla ice cream. The taste is subtle and not overpowering, but it's a fresh kind of vanilla I've never had and is sure to please all vanilla lovers. The texture of the ice cream was perfect - it didn't melt too fast, not too soft or frozen, and it was creamy but not overwhelmingly creamy. Simply put, you NEED to try it!

The individual who accommodated me was phenomenal! I unfortunately was unable to ask his name, but he took great care of my vanilla ice cream with oreos in a cake cone. Furthermore, I was able to learn more about the business and how involved they are in the community, which is always a plus.

Although I didn't try their boba, I have no doubt it's as quality as their ice cream. Overall, I love the business and am excited to come back with friends and family!

Parking: The parking is a bit small as the store itself is in downtown Deerfield and located along a busy main road (Rt43/Waukegan Rd). I can imagine during more busy hours, it'd be difficult to find good parking as, other than the small parking lot in the back, you may have to walk to the location.

Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly! The menu is extremely customisable, especially if you have any dietary allergies.“

Best part is they have indoor and outdoor seatin and they are always busy. Love their summer vibe! It’s a bit pricey but i guess worth trying!! (Portion is good as well)

“This is a classic DQ that serves the community in a classic fashion. Everyone is outside enjoying their ice cream. It is close to a busy road unfortunately and there isn't much parking. It's best to walk and enjoy as you take a stroll or meet up with your friends.
