“Been eating here for years and recommending them for years if you want the best burger in Chesteron/Porter area. Some other favorites are the bacon wrapped poppers, steak or chicken flatbread, soups, and the only place I know that still has homemade pub chips. Just had my first ever minor issue with a cook on burgers and the owner addressed it and made it right. I am looking forward to their new bi-weekly specials to try some new items. Gastro 49 customers for life.”

“Came here at the recommendation of a good friend was definitely not disappointed. Its a smaller establishment so that was tough to deal with as far as anxiety goes, but we didnt have to wair long to be seated! Dexter aka Spicy White Tuna Roll was our server and he was efficient, friendly, and hilarious! I tried the Dragon Egg (what a masterpiece!) as well as the Autumn Lemon Roll (I LOVE lemon and was quite pleased). You get what you pay for here but it was an awesome sushi time!”

“We are on vacation at Indiana Dunes and stopped in at Dog Days today after lunch for a treat. Great place, and AMAZING staff! Our kids, ages 5 and 2, changed their minds on what they wanted a couple of times and the two young ladies working were so patient with us as they took our orders. Very clean and a great atmosphere - My kids loved watching the little train overhead. And of course, the ice cream was delicious! Also, they have a family restroom with a changing table, which may not be high on most people’s list but that can be so hard to find in these little specialty shops and as a family with two littles, having those facilities easily available is just a very nice bonus. Highly recommend :)”

“Gem of a place. Lovely laid back atmosphere with delicious food. Everything prepared fresh and from scratch, and tastes amazing. Portion size are hearty, yet it didn't feel heavy, everything prepared well and healthy. Tried the Popeye hash, loved it. Staff is very kind and all smiley too 😊 do visit if you are in town.”

“My staff asked me the other day if we could all order smoothies from Smoothie King. Not being a particular fan of smoothies in the past, I only reluctantly said okay. I’m glad I did. Not only was the service fast and friendly, but the smoothies were amazing! I ordered the cheese sticks they were so good I took an order home for later I had the Italian beef sandwich it was awesome and my wife had the chicken alfredo she loved it all this for under $50 is unbelievable we will be back!”

“AJ's Pizza is very good quality pizza for the area, they have a nice outside place where you can sit when the weather is nice and you can enjoy your dinner in peace, service has been a little slow a couple times that I went but it is what it is the food makes up for it”

“Was doing a Thursday night when it is usually not very busy. But we were from a wedding party and there was only one person working and she did an excellent job! I could not believe how she took care of all of us and she was by herself”

“Lemon Tree Mediterranean was delicious. The red cabbage salad and carrot salad were both outstanding, in my rice bowl. The meal was very filling. It's kind of like a Mediterranean version of Chipotle, but with even better options and flavors, in my opinion.

The atmosphere gets a 3 out of 5. It's clean and has plenty of seating, but like Chipotle, it's not really the type of place where you settle in and enjoy a long meal. It's more of a quick, casual spot to grab great food.

If you're looking for fresh, flavorful Mediterranean food that's satisfying and reasonably priced, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.”

“We enjoyed our after dinner treats. My nephews got a banana split and a Brownie Oreo Cupfection....$13 for the two. A bit on the pricey side. But, they enjoyed it and ate every last bit.”

“Woke up this morning starving ! Well maybe not literally 🤪 woke my husband up and we came I. For breakfast. Was having a rough morning already so when our waitress came up to our table (AMY!) she was so incredibly kind! Smiling ! Helpful! She was “tag teaming” with another waitress (i dont remember her name) but one brought coffee one brought waters and BOTH brought smiles!! When our meals were brought to the table my husband and I (as we always do whether we are at home OR out!) held hands and prayed …. Later Amy came by and said something along the lines of “it was so nice to see you two holding hands and praying in public “… she had already made a comment t how nice it was to see us holding hands …. She really made my morning! Her kindness changed my rough morning to something that turned out to be a great day….AND the FOOD was ABSOLUTELY fantastic as always!!! As a matter of fact it a now 844 pm and I just ate some of my leftovers (ill finish them in the morning!) Thank you to whomever hired Amy! THank you to the chefs in the back for cooking such amazing food! Amy! Thank YOU for making my day much better than it had started!!”

“Enjoyed the 1st floor better last year with the restaurant. Now, overpriced cold cuts and $4 for a couple spoonful's of potato salad. We had never been up to the 3rd floor in previous years since we have children but, now it is open to anyone. Fantastic view, nice selection of vacation style drinks, great tasting tacos and of course, the beach! Worth the 2 hour trip several times a summer. Will be returning for sure............but not on the 4th of July weekend!”
