“We were a group of 9; 6 adults & 3 children looking for a more sit-down place to eat when the owner talked us into staying telling us we would not be disappointed, and we were not. Their menu had a huge variety of food to choose from, and all of us thought the food was great! I had French toast, hash browns & sausage. My husband had an awesome shrimp omlette that had more shrimp on it than anywhere else we have ever eaten that put shrimp in its breakfast. And even thought it was all packagesd as take out, there were three tables available to sit and eat. It worked for us! Great job S&G! It's a well-earned 5 star review!“

“We have Been at Theo’s at least 20 times in the last 3 years. The first time was the best and last night was the last. Food was a lot better 3 years ago. The staff seemed like they cared about you buying the right or the best value, Last night we were ripped off. David was our server. Telling how great the specials were with out telling us the price. My wife wanted seafood not steak. So we ordered her the seafood crab legs, lobster tail and shrimp. Crab legs tasted like they were frozen for a long time, the lobster was Tuff. Shrimp was good in garlic butter. I had a steak. With mushrooms. Do your self a favor ask what the price for any specials . DON’T BUY ANYTHING WITHOUT KNOWING THE PRICE. The large fried shrimp were big thick pieces battered & fried perfectly crispy & they removed the tails so you have no waste. The fried lake perch was battered & fried crispy big fillets. “I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by my visit to Shrimp Shack in Munster! I ordered the catfish and shrimp combo, which came with fries and bread.
The catfish was definitely the star of the meal! The fillet was a great size and fried to perfection at least to my liking. 😋 The shrimp was pretty average, but still good. The fries were cooked extra crispy, which may be perfect for someone who loves a good crunch.
The bread was a little hard, and I’m guessing that may have been because it was placed directly on top of the hot fish.
I also really liked the nice decor and clean lobby area, and the customer service I received was friendly and welcoming. Another plus was that the wait wasn’t long at all!
I’m not sure how much business they normally get, but in my opinion, Shrimp Shack is a good spot for a quick bite to eat. Overall, the food was good, the service was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and that catfish was the highlight for me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“I ordered the lobster tail, crab legs and shrimp combo (steamed not fried) and it was fantastic. It came with two corn and one potato. I believe it was seasoned with old bay and the garlic butter was great. The hush puppies are perfect. Crispy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside.“

It was only two people working in there and our property can understand why it was a lot of pressure on them, but they need to hire another person to work with them And important that you have the food right not overdo it. “Came in and the place was completely empty, sign said "seat yourselves" it felt kind of awkward but someone came out to greet us a few seconds later. Staff was super friendly and nice! I brought my grandmother and she wanted to split her meal with someone who wasn't able to come to the restaurant in person, so they brought out half of her meal and waited until we were almost done with the other half freshly made and packaged! Lake perch was great! Not like other restaurants that try to serve ocean perch as lake perch. The Nashville hot chicken strips were a little disappointing they didn't have any heat to them, but the chicken was cooked perfectly and the breading was really good so it made up for it! Mac n cheese was delicious, I was even impressed with the fries! None of them were soggy or over salted! I'm sad I couldn't have tried them sooner!“

“You get a TON of food for the price, and its good, really good. They have soo many things to choose from it's had to pick out what to have. I've tried a few things, I live on the other side of the country, so not here often, but I had it 2 years ago, and made sure to have it again since I was here! Definately worth a stop, you'll be surprised! It's a hidden gem for sure!!
