“This was a perfect little ice cream shop. There are plentiful flavors from which to choose, and my coffee/mint chip ice cream in a waffle cone was delicious, however the waffle cone could have had a bit more flavor. I'm always a fan of made in house ice cream, and seemingly from the crowded shop on a Friday in late March so is everyone else. Prices were appropriate for high quality ice cream, and if you have a family they have a six flavor flight so everyone can share.“

So until I had the biscuits and gravy at The Borough, my favorites were at The Corner in Riverside, MO. Good proportions, creamy and satisfying. But... the ones at The Borough? Best I've ever had. “A surprise find of a little shop I found by googling milkshakes. This was the first instance of the kids getting to see rolled up ice cream in person. The guy doing the chopping and freezing was fast and very skilled. “I used your online ordering for banana split tonight. Unfortunately, my friend picked up my order for me, because they got home and there was no banana on my banana split! It should be a given that a person who wants a banana split wants a banana on it! I went onto the website again and banana is listed under all the ice cream flavors. This is very deceiving and easy to miss! I did not see it listed and even if I did I would have assumed everything listed was an ice cream flavor! If anything, you should have a separate section like you do for toppings that just says "no banana" so you ca check mark that if you don't want one, since 99% of people would want a banana. That's the point of getting a banana split......... Otherwise, the ice cream was good.“

Right when you walk in, you are instantly hit with the delicious smell of flavorful popcorn. There is an entire wall with a variety of different flavors ranging from salty, sweet, and everything in between. You can stick with the classics: like butter, cheese, and caramel . You can go the sweet route and try strawberry, blueberry, grape, and even more fruity flavors. There are chocolate covered popcorn options for our chocolate lovers. My two favorites: the dill pickle and the fried pickle popcorn flavors. I also ordered the caramel cheesy and buttery combined flavor. Admittedly, I tried just about all of the flavors and there was not a single one I didn't like. Along with popcorn, I ordered a cup of Rocky Road ice cream...and of course it was delicious. What was unique is that they do not give chips and salsa as all other Mexican joints do. They offer chicharon pinwheels with hot sauce which I think made it better and brought my Hispanic childhood back with memory of the heladero (ice cream man). I ordered empanadas that I had never tried with chicken meat, my daughter chose sopes with Al Pastor meat. My wife got tacos with Al Pastor meat too. They both liked their dishes and mine was yummy with both the green sauce and red sauce. I will go back to try other dishes.“
