“This place has the best steak tartare and filet mignon that I’ve ever had. The filet was so tender and juicy… simply the best. My family and I go every Christmas and it’s one of my favorite traditions because this place is so good!Kid-friendliness: My family and I go with everyone above 11 years old. That means that occasionally there may be a temper tantrum with the little ones but the staff always does their best to manage possible pickiness and short tempers.“
“A surprised diamond in the urban core of the city!!!! The atmosphere was clean, crisp, and upscale. The service was pleasant, attentive, and informative. The food specials were intriguing and danced on the palette like a ballerina! The halibut was perfect!!! I was expecting more of a showstopper from the lobster rolls although it had great flavors the garlic bread did not do it justice! The drinks and appetizers took the show! This is definitely a come again spot!!! And YES!!!! I didn’t mind saying Bloody Mary once, twice, and even three times!!!!!!“

“We had a fantastic dinner for my birthday! Tiffany was out waitress and did an amazing job! I had the salmon which was delicious and my husband had a steak which was cooked to perfection! We also had the oysters, which were so so good! Would definitely recommend Eddie V's for a great dinner and music.“

We wanted to try it too, and today was the day. They was extremely flexible with our reservation (originally made for 730, they us change it to 6.)The server was great, friendly and professional and made awesome suggestions.The manager came out to let us know that one of the meals was over done, so it was going to be a few more minutes, and offered us free salads or soups.My wife had the lamb, which we both would recommend 100% I had the filet this time which was equally good. I had the Asparagus soup, which reminded me of a richer broccoli and cheese soup. We also had the Ahi Tartare, normally not my thing, but wanted to try something different, it didn't disappoint, if you like Ahi, I'd recommend.“

“Not sure what the theme for this restaurant was, but I had the impossible burger, and I was deeply impressed. I have been a beef eater, all my life. This burger was amazing. Would recommend trying it if you were curious. The staff was amazing, I can't remember the waitress name now, it was one of those 'like this city name but without the last letter's people. “This was my first time trying Kata Nori and I loved it! It's very limited seating so definitely make a reservation. The staff was very helpful in explaining how everything works and making recommendations. The hand rolls were definitely my favorite - we tried most of them and really enjoyed. “Had an overall good experience. The food was excellent, and was portioned very nicely. recommend the veal chop and duck meatballs as they were excellent. Aside from the food, our service was disappointing. Our sever seemed to not care and did nothing to add to our experience which displeased us. We had high expectations after being to other restaurants in the area of similar caliber but Farina disappointed in this category.“
“This dinner experience was exceptional. Our server, Maxwell, was one of the best servers I have ever had. He was knowledgeable, attentive and very friendly. I highly recommend their oysters, you can order them individually or 1/2 & full dozen. I enjoyed the west coast variety. My steak that I ordered was a 16 oz ribeye with blue cheese potatoes and mushroom pan roast. Everything was cooked to perfection and the meal was extremely satisfying. If you’re in the area and your budget allows, I would suggest you treat yourself and enjoy a dining experience here.Parking: There are 2 parking garages but they are not connected to the restaurant, nonetheless, it is a short walk in a quaint village like setting.“

Our server, a seasoned lady was ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL and these youngsters should take serving, respect, kindness and knowledge classes from her. “I made an impromptu decision to eat lunch here after shopping with my toddler. The staff was extremely friendly and kind not only to me, but to my daughter as well. The cashier gave me AMAZING taco recommendations- the birria taco and Thai chicken were so good! When my toddler got a random wild hair and swiped my tacos off the table and onto the floor before I was finished, the chef immediately noticed and went back to make me another taco at no cost- even though it was our fault. They were all so kind and understanding and amazing service like that beyond fantastic food should absolutely be recognized. “Stopped in for lunch with my boss. Always looking for a place that's been around for a while and has good food. Jazz checks those boxes. Chicken A La Mer was absolutely delicious. I got the half order, and by the looks of it, I'm not sure how people could eat a full one. The chicken was tender and topped with a shrimp & crab cream sauce. The sauce had a nice heat to it. The bed of rice was plentiful and covered in the cream sauce, making it perfect. The veggie medley was good as well, but the star was the sauce. Our server was great. She made sure drinks were always full and even suggested the chicken a la mer. The only big issue is parking. There is none“

“My boyfriend and I LOVE micheladas, it is our thing. So we set out to find the best ones in town. I had seen people I know post about it so we decided to try it out. and oh my gosh. these are the BEST in town. They are very authentic. You can get them to go which is cool and also they come in a big cup with chamoy on the side. They put the right amount of beer and other ingredients, they just do it right every time. My bf and I always get regular michelada with the dried meat on it and it tastes really good. The workers are always super nice to attend to us and make our drinks very fast. There is always people when we go in just chilling with their friends and it is a chill place to just have a drink. They also serve fruit with tajin and other things that are fruit with lime and tajin/ spicy. for sure recommend for an authentic michelada!“

Service was OK, nothing extra. The cook was talking loud from inside the kitchen to (apparently) a friend at the bar. It’s OK for a quick conversation but after a while it is not appropriate, it does not look professional.“

The place was packed, but we were seated within 5 minutes of the reservation. My food was delightful - I had the Farmhouse Burger and opted for steak fries as my side, 't'was glorious.My wife had the Fish & Chips, the fish was well fried and delicious - there was a lot there, to say the least, and also their fries deserve a mention as stout delightful chunks of potate.For dessert we split a slice of the cookies and cream cheesecake. “I’ve been getting the seafood pho to go with extra spice about once or twice a month recently. It has a nice broth and the chili paste on the side adds the perfect heat and flavor. “We came here for a business dinner but the entry to the restaurant was quite interesting. We got seated and place was filling in slowly. We got our drinks n bread and ordered some lovely apps. Baked Escargot and Tuna Tartare for appetizers was a perfect choice. Escargot was buttery and tuna with some Avocado was absolute delicious. Escargot was definitely the highlight of the night. Then we got some salad and French onion soup. My soup was good, nothing extraordinary. For main course, I ordered boneless ribeye with bone marrow butter w/ some spinach n scalloped potatoes. Everything was absolutely perfect, steak was top notch, probably the butter enhanced the flavor. For dessert, ordered the crème brûlée and it was good with perfect amount of sweetness, the berries with cream.What a great meal, don’t forget to try their signature old fashioned with house bourbon.If I am in Des Moines again, will definitely eat here.Parking: Park across the street at 901 and walk across the skywalk.“

The buffet offered catfish, chicken wings, and crawfish along with four vegetable sides, then potato salad, coleslaw, rolls, two kinds of soup, and cinnamon rolls. I tried them all, great! “This place has some of the best fried fish I have had in awhile, I ordered the hush puppies and onion rings for my two sides with my meal, the hush puppies were mediocre. I was disappointed that the onion rings were the frozen kind, the fish here is so wonderful it deserves handmade beer batter onion rings.
