“The BEST Asian restaurant in the Northland! The food is absolutely amazing—every dish we’ve tried has been outstanding. The sushi is fresh and delicious, and the attention to detail is top-notch. You have to try the crab wontons—they’re a must! We just had the Tokyo crispy chicken, and it was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. Honestly, I haven’t had a single thing here that I didn’t love. Chris, the owner, always greets us with a warm smile, and he and his staff make you feel truly welcome every time. Exceptional food, outstanding service, and such a friendly atmosphere—Saki is hands down our favorite spot!”

“I think I saw an ad for Yafa Cafe on Facebook. We are always searching for good Mediterranean food, it's hard to find in Kansas City. Seeing Kibbeh on the menu automatically moved them to the top on the list. We really enjoyed our meals and appetizers! The kibbeh was good, the spanakopia was good. All of our meals were good. I really enjoyed the creamy chicken plate. The chicken shawarma was good. Everyone liked the kabobs (chicken and beef). We will definitely be back! The owner and employees were very nice and helpful. Highly recommend!”

“I know this is a bold statement to make, but this restaurant’s the best Lao restaurant I’ve visited thus far in the U.S., and I’ve been to quite my fair share of them in the U.S. in these past seven years. The workers and owner here at Khop jai der noodles are very friendly and the larb nam tok siin, thum khao poon, nam khao, khua mii, Lao beef jerky, Lao sausage, Lao milk tea, red summer drink, and green summer drink are the bomb! I love that all the dishes I ordered are as authentic as how my Lao friends/family and I’d make it, have reasonable prices, and have reasonable portion sizes. A lot of Asian restaurants in the U.S. are all over the place with their spice levels, but this restaurant doesn’t play, and their “hot”/second most spiciest level, was pretty spicy for someone who can tolerate a lot of spice. It’s nice that I was made clear of this as I was ordering. Their wait times are also reasonable. I ordered a lot, not to mention that they were also taking other in-person and over-the-phone orders, but I got all my dishes in less than 30 minutes. I had a fun time talking with Auntie Mimi, the owner, and Uncle Guy, the co-owner, after my meal. Uncle Guy even offered to help me box my food and take my food to my car, but I didn’t take up his offer since I didn’t want to get in the way of other orders/customers. Lastly, I wanted to note that Auntie Mimi was very courteous on the phone when I called two days before my visit to confirm their hours. Restaurants like this one, one that offers authentic Lao dishes and isn’t afraid to label itself and its menu as Lao, are the ones I wish to succeed the most and wish there were more of in places outside of Laos. I was smiling from ear to ear seeing all kinds of customers coming in, ordering the Lao-style of dishes, and seemingly pleased with their orders. This restaurant’s only been open 16 months at the time of my visit, and I hope that it gets all the love and attention it deserves very soon! I certainly can’t wait to check it out again the next time I’m in the area and wouldn’t even mind driving from my home, three and a half hours away, just to eat here!”

“Words can not describe how cool and authentic this place truly is… I’m only 20 years old but in my short life (living in Overland Park) never have I had such a genuinely unique experience at a restaurant in town. I immediately was taken away by how amazing the scenery was when you walk in, everything from the posters on the wall to the memorabilia on the shelf’s has a story behind it. Perhaps the most interesting thing about the place is the bike on the counter along the back side of restaurant. I wish I could tell you the story behind it but if I did it wouldn’t give you a reason to come here, so for that reason, I’ll let you hear it for yourself in person. The story teller behind it all is the owner, Bill. I had a chance to meet Bill briefly after me and my buddies finished up our meals and holy cow I’m glad I was able to meet him. He is an amazingly interesting guy and easy to talk to. If you ever have a chance to say hi to him while you are in there I highly suggest you do so. Even with all these cool stories, there is still something about this place that people need to experience for themselves… the food! The selections are simple yet amazing looking. My experience with the spicy ramen was fantastic and it was presented exactly how I had imagined it. The flavor was as authentic as it gets for ramen (to my knowledge) and the spice level was very reasonable. I also got the squid balls, which I was hesitant at first to eat (because of the name) but trust me they are amazing! With all this being said, that was only my first time being there. “The place was packed and we had to wait a minute for clean tables. The MANAGER came out to clean tables and sweep the floor under both tables. We were quickly waited on by a friendly and efficient waitress. There were 6 women working this shift and all were in top form. Even the 2 cooks were women and that was a new thing to see at WH. The food arrived cooked perfectly and exactly as ordered. Everything was tasty and enjoyable. This is one of the best WH in the area with one of the best teams I've seen working. I looked up 24 hr mexican food near me, and found this one. Not knowing it was a family business I was extremely excited to find that they were the same franchise. “It is an Ihop so you pretty much know what to expect already, but I'll say the cooks have their game together. The food is always prepared promptly and with skill. There are typically a bunch of weird patrons and listening to the conversations of the guests is the best entertainment you will get here. I honestly prefer this place to a bunch of the more "upscale" brunch places around town. What you get for the money is worth it and it is promptly delivered instead of an hour long wait at other places.”

My wife is 21 weeks pregnant today and has been craving fuzzies since about 4 weeks but all of the locations near us in st louis had just permanently closed right when she got pregnant. We came to the area for our anniversary so she could have it. Elizabeth went through the effort to make sure that everything my wife was craving was safe for her dietary restrictions due to being pregnant and having allergies. 10/10 would recommend!”

It was actually awkward to experience the way the manager treated the employees. He literally yelled across the room at the bartender for no identifiable reason. Sometimes it’s watching the way someone treats others that ruins a nice time more than anything. It really is a nice place with good food and great service hopefully this part of the place can change. Appears mine isn’t the first review that involves the manager so hopefully they will fix this issue.”

“I don’t know who runs this Schlotzsky’s, but they deserve an award. Hands down, this is the best fast food experience I’ve ever had—if you can even call it fast food. Every time I go, it’s consistently great, and the level of attention to detail is honestly ridiculous.

When I walked in, someone literally ran to the register to make sure I was greeted and ready to order. I’ve never seen anything like it. And the organization? Next level. Every condiment packet, every straw, every napkin—perfectly lined up like someone took the time to make sure everything was facing the same way. It’s one of those little things that tells you this place is run by people who actually care.

On top of that, they’ve never messed up my order—not once. The food is always fresh, made exactly how I asked, and just hits the spot every time. The sandwiches are legit, but even beyond that, the whole experience is just smooth. It’s rare to find a place that’s this consistent.

And the cleanliness? Unreal. This place is spotless—not just clean, but sparkling. The tables, floors, drink station—everything looks like it’s been scrubbed down constantly. “Pros: Most of the dishes are amazing. Try the spicy pork bun bowl, the beef pho and the watermelon boba tea. Cons: They need to clean up the service. The tables are usually dirty, the condiment bottles don't look like they've ever been cleaned and are absolutely disgusting and dirty and sticky to touch. The service is usually ok to poor, however in fairness Asian restaurants generally don't make good service a priority, and they don't try to break that mold here.”

The atmosphere is awesome due to the incredible décor, large screen, a multitude of different type of seating, large TV’s located all around the bar! The service and restaurant is second to none! The bartenders are so professional and friendly. Believe it or not we were actually asked if we were satisfied with our drinks! We were politely and professionally served our many food and drink selections! When our pizza slices were served, my mouth dropped, because I have never seen slices of pizza so huge! I have not had a slice of pizza that was so good with just the right amount of tasty toppings on mine! We ordered chicken wings, half naked and half buffalo wing sauce. The chicken wings had been fried to perfection and was so good we could not make up our minds which type of chicken wings was the best, so we called it a pleasingly tie!”

“The food here is great! Fresh, tasty, and the portions are big. I always build my own bowl and always have leftovers. The staff is excellent too! They were very busy this evening when I came in a little early for my online order. They offered me a drink while I waited and I got to try the cucumber mint lime drink, it was very good. The staff even went out of their way to accommodate a special request I had, which I really appreciated!”

We were referred to KMachos and OMG there is NOTHING i can say to complain! From the exquisite service we got from the server, he was AMAZING and funny and friendly! wish we would of got his name! I had the carne asada steak with beans and rice and tortillas and it all was cooked to PERFECTION. The steak was perfect, juicy seasoned to perfection. It hit all the spots my craving had! The raspberry Margarita OMG. It was phenomenal. My colleague had the chimichangas and LOVED IT. If i could give this place a 10,000 outta 10! Do not sleep on this place. It's perfection....”

“We had a fantastic experience at Don Chuy’s on Saturday night (6/28/25). Their APC Del Mar is out of this world and has already become my absolute favorite dish. The margaritas are huge and the presentation of drinks and the food was top-notch. And being there on their grand opening weekend, if you took time to pay close attention, you could really see how hard the wait staff, bartenders and Manager were working to try to make it a great night for everyone. If I had one suggestion I think it would be to remove the Romanesque busts from the bar and the large lion in the back bar area. The place is so beautifully decorated just the way it is, it truly does not need the additional adornment with those items. Overall, I think it would be a great place, hands down, for a celebration, but it’s also perfect for a date night dinner. I’ve already been back twice and I’ll be hard-pressed not to make it a weekly stop, for awhile anyway. Thank you everyone at Don Chuy’s for making it such a delicious and fun experience!”

“Mango tea, mango lemonade, and the blue Raspberry lemonade sprite mix were delicious. They were also very accommodating to my allergy to strawberries and kept them out of the drinks. Also ate the appetizer sampler platter. Good for even just 2, not super hungry people. The staff was very warm and inviting as well as kind and generous. We did go at a weird time, so there was barely anyone there, which is funny for 6:30 pm on a Saturday. Overall, I can't wait to come back”
