“Food is really good, I've ordered many times from them but my last order included an $8.25 fee for carry out supplies. They charge a percent of the entire bill. No where in the check out process do they tell you this. This seems excessive for 6 utensil packs and 5 takeout containers. Many other BBQ places with similar price points do not charge this fee. If you are going to charge extra fees be up front about it.“

“As always, Cafe Provence did not disappoint. The drinks, appetizers, main courses, and desserts were all excellent. Our server was a 2nd generation family member of the owners and provided top notch service with many helpful suggestions. Our party of four requested seating in a booth, which was honored, and it provided a cozy and intimate atmosphere for our sisterly gathering. Cafe Provence is where I take out-of-town guests because I know there won't be any disappointments. I can't wait to go back!“

Also ate the appetizer sampler platter. Good for even just 2, not super hungry people. The staff was very warm and inviting as well as kind and generous. We did go at a weird time, so there was barely anyone there, which is funny for 6:30 pm on a Saturday. Overall, I can't wait to come back“

“Honestly we were waiting in line to eat somewhere else and we got tired of waiting and walked down the street to this place. Didn't have very high expectations if I'm being honest. The decore is a little 12 years ago, but it's to be expected. What I didnt expect was how good the food was going to be. First of all they have a pretty good beer selection and a lot of interesting cocktails. We got the chips and queso as a starter (which came out with our food, oh well). Unbelievably delicious. Restaurant made chips, perfectly salty and crisp. Very tasty queso. My wife and I then had the mix and match tacos. I had 2 chicken and 2 mahi mahi and my wife had the cheeseburger and the cane asada. They were all delicious, except the chicken was a little bland.

Our server, I can't remember his name now sorry, was excellent. Very attentive, professional, amiable. Top tier service.

The drinks were a little spendy but that is to be expected I guess. Actually turned out to be the most expensive meal we had on our trip. Big bonus was that there was no wait and the food came out quick. All in all it was a great experience.“

“Awful!!! The chicken was grease soaked & pink, the noodles were overcooked, the Alfredo sauce had so much grease and oil sitting on top. I took a few bites & hours later threw up! The "manager" was supposed to call me for a refund and that never happened. I will never be back or ever recommend. “I remember hearing about this place years ago but never went. It popped up on my FYP on TikTok so I decided to give it a try. My family and I drove down on a Saturday around 12:30. Not sure where it was exactly, we ended up driving by it and having to turn around. There is only street parking available so we parked 1/2 a block up and walked down. We weren’t the only ones who did. The steady flow of people coming in and out was a lot. Good for business. They only accept cash, which is good to know beforehand. We ordered the famous pork tenderloin, a cheeseburger and fries. Everything is alacarte. Which is also good to know beforehand.
The tenderloin had good flavor but was fried very hard. My husband enjoyed his but said it was too spicy, he had the hot sauce. Overall, it was good. Glad we finally tried it.“

“Vietnam Cafe is one of my favorite places to eat. We all love the pho. Spring rolls are amazing and so are the crab rangoons. Our last visit there must have been an ice shortage. “I know this is a bold statement to make, but this restaurant’s the best Lao restaurant I’ve visited thus far in the U.S., and I’ve been to quite my fair share of them in the U.S. in these past seven years. The workers and owner here at Khop jai der noodles are very friendly and the larb nam tok siin, thum khao poon, nam khao, khua mii, Lao beef jerky, Lao sausage, Lao milk tea, red summer drink, and green summer drink are the bomb! I love that all the dishes I ordered are as authentic as how my Lao friends/family and I’d make it, have reasonable prices, and have reasonable portion sizes. A lot of Asian restaurants in the U.S. are all over the place with their spice levels, but this restaurant doesn’t play, and their “hot”/second most spiciest level, was pretty spicy for someone who can tolerate a lot of spice. It’s nice that I was made clear of this as I was ordering. Their wait times are also reasonable. I ordered a lot, not to mention that they were also taking other in-person and over-the-phone orders, but I got all my dishes in less than 30 minutes. I had a fun time talking with Auntie Mimi, the owner, and Uncle Guy, the co-owner, after my meal. Uncle Guy even offered to help me box my food and take my food to my car, but I didn’t take up his offer since I didn’t want to get in the way of other orders/customers. Lastly, I wanted to note that Auntie Mimi was very courteous on the phone when I called two days before my visit to confirm their hours. Restaurants like this one, one that offers authentic Lao dishes and isn’t afraid to label itself and its menu as Lao, are the ones I wish to succeed the most and wish there were more of in places outside of Laos. I was smiling from ear to ear seeing all kinds of customers coming in, ordering the Lao-style of dishes, and seemingly pleased with their orders. This restaurant’s only been open 16 months at the time of my visit, and I hope that it gets all the love and attention it deserves very soon! I certainly can’t wait to check it out again the next time I’m in the area and wouldn’t even mind driving from my home, three and a half hours away, just to eat here!“

I had the mushroom and apple main dish with mash and vegan gravy and my husband had the ribeye. The steak was cooked perfectly and we divided our meals because both were so delicious. “Our server, Megan, was excellent. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing or too interruptive. She knew we were headed to the opera and kept a close watch on time with our service so we would not be late. I'd definitely ask for her again! We were seated next to the entrance to the servers station/kitchen and there was a ton of traffic whizzing by our table, which was a little distracting. Someone has to sit there, but it seems like they could have put our table for two somewhere less intrusive (we were at a four top). It was not a full restaurant, so I'm not sure why were were seated smack in the middle of kitchen traffic. The food was amazing, as always. Pierpont's has been a family favorite for decades and the food is the # 1 reason we keep returning.“

“Me and my mom stopped by while in town for a concert and everything literally was PERFECT. we have been raving in the car since leaving and Tiffany was the most perfect server that we were blessed with. We had the pretzel app, the stockyard fries, and the mac and cheese with bacon and everything was out quickly and again, absolutely astonishing!!! much love to Tiffany, and because she was so proactive we got to the concert DEAD ON time.“

Wifey and I are celebrating our 43rd anniversary and it was suggested to come to Jack Stack.
We arrived after a long day of visiting in downtown KC and we're really tired and hungry. They said it would be over an hour and a half to wait and we were very dismayed and saddened.... UNTIL KELLY CAME FLYING IN WITH HER CAPE FLAPPING BEHIND HER!
She had a table that she was able to relinquish. It made our anniversary very very special. Not to mention the dessert celebration on the house.

“I spent the last 8 months being away from home which is Texas. a little over a month into it, I found Los Alamos Cocina. they have the best Mexican food in the Kansas City area. it was such a comfort for me to have a taste of home away from home. I ate there every Saturday morning from the time I discovered it to the time I left. the owner and the staff are very awesome down the Earth humble people! I'm going to miss eating there and my interactions with El Jefe and Benito and everyone else! thank you Los Alamos Cocina for being my comfort away from home.“

“Usually great food, and we est here often. However, last week we were 100% dissatisfied! First, the entire meal was late, they had to substitute knots for garlic bread, waited forever and the calzone had literally one piece of meat about 1"x1.5" and what looked like a mozzarella stick for cheese. The meal was gross, late, over cooked and not what we ordered or paid for. So disappointed. Since it is a long drive we regularly make I doubt we will be returning. $34 meal wasted.“
