“When I lived in Bonner, I would occasionally treat myself to Abelardo’s and always loved it. Out of all the local late-night Mexican restaurants, Abelardo’s is my favorite.

When my boyfriend would come in town, he always wanted to go get it. Now that we live in Iowa, we always get it when we visit Kansas!

We will get it from the locations here in Iowa as well but the burritos are smaller and the green sauce and queso is different and I personally don’t like it nearly as much as this location in Kansas.

The folks there are also very nice and welcoming.

on my way to work. Didn't realize it until I started eating in the car. I called to get a replacement. I was told to keep the regular tenders until after my shift and replace with the correct. I was hungry and of course ate before my shift. Partially my fault because I did not check my order before I left. Anthony at the window had great customer service food was good just not what I ordered. The male I spoke to on the phone was close minded to a mistake even being made. “If you were on the highway heading north, you seen a sign saying chick-fil-a but no building, I heard new store open and first ones you get a year of chix sandwich meal, COVID hit and nobody knew what will happen, I work overnight and drove fast to get in line and I got one of the lucky card, staff was super friendly with long lines of cars and at the window too, then carry out, Drew was the cashier, we talked and that was the first time for me to talk to head guy, I’ll see them at the door and say hi but that’s all, this was the first location to dine in, I’m a red card member been to Salina to Springfield and never had staff come ask if I wanted a refill or how is everything, I meet Sabrina who comes by your table how is everything wanting a refill outgoing lady, who should be employee of the month“

After eating and still talking with my friend, he came over and offered to take out trash. Again, over the top customer service! As we exited he thanked us for coming in! In a world where fast food restaurants cannot keep enough staff, this man shines like a gem! I hope he gets the recognition he deserves! He IS what brings customers back! Great job Cesar!! Before we even stepped foot inside, an employee jogged ahead of us to open the door. The young man taking our order smiled and addressed us immediately. And we even observed several others walking around, asking if everyone's experience was good or if they needed anything. “I don’t want to say I don’t recommend, because I do love the food, but ever since the renovation we’ve never had a correct order. The mess ups have ranged from no sides being added to the kids meals, zero sauces added that were requested, missing fries and today missing sauces, wasn’t given one of the kids ice creams, and the wrong side being added to the kods meals. I try to spot check the best I can when we get our order, but it’s just impossible. I think the renovation only provides more bodies in the drive though area this causing a lot of confusion.“

“Had a coupon BOGO for the new store in Glenwood Plaza. Never ate at one. So tried it today. Had the Club Sub & Mikes Famous Philly. Wow...the Club Sub was huge! Very good, freshly sliced ham a& turkey, plenty of bacon. Dressed with lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickles & onions on wheat. Great sandwich! Huge! Great value for the $$$. Will eat that again! The Philly was decent. Ample shaved beef, grilled fresh, along with peppers and onions, and ample white american cheese for a good gooey to it. No added toppings. Had on the rosenary parm bread. Personally, I wish there would have been more peppers & onions on the sandwich. I should have asked for more, but didn't know if there would be an upcharge. Only downside IMO was red onions are better for sandwiches than white onions, and be nice to have a few more options on toppings, like maybe sliced bell peppers, and spinach as an alternative to the shredded lettuce. So, we will be back. Club Sub on my favorites list, but need to try the chicken philly & chicken bacon ranch philly. Got a couple coupons left in the postcard, $2 off order and 25% off order, so will use those. If anyone has an extra postcard mailer and don't like Jersey Mike's, IM me and I'll give you my address ..I'll take those coupons...lol... Overall, very pleased. And my 91 year old mother enjoyed both sammiches also, so that is very good! Try them out...I was very pleased...“
