Be weary if you sit inside the place it is very dark, but that's the dive feel you're getting. It's so dark though it was kinda hard to see and read the menus.

Also to eat outside we were told they don't actually serve the seats outside. So you would have to order at the bar and then bring your food outside? It didn't make total sense to me, but if you're looking to take advantage of the weather, it's something to think about!“

“Had to visit as I heard this was one of the best places to get donuts and coffee. Came here on our last night after dinner and got the espresso with ice cream and a shake along with a cinnamon roll to share with my honey. The shake was a perfect consistency. Then came here again the day we were leaving out as they have Koloches. Haven’t seen those since we lived in Texas. It was pretty good but that Vietnamese coffee 🤤🤤🤤 it was soo good. I’m craving it now as I write this. Then got some donuts for the road. All very good. Highly recommend this place.“

“Finally visited this place today. Yes, yes, yes! Their fried green tomatoes are the best I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend the gator poppers. Loved the thin fried catfish. “We found the Evangeline Restaurant to be a nice casual spot to get something to eat or have a drink. This place is super casual and specializes in local creole type dishes. The poboys are good and they have several different types. They also serve red beans and rice, crawfish étouffe and other local dishes. The staff are nice and they have an outdoor courtyard.“

“10/10! The service was perfect, the atmosphere was great, and the food and drinks were delicious! It happened to be happy hour, so I got two sour beers and an app for only $5 each! All so good. “I went to the Backspace Bar & Kitchen after getting in on a later flight and ordered a beer and shrimp po'boy. It was a super chill night - I was just one of a few folks in there around 8PM. The beer was wonderful, the bartender was so nice, and the whole vibe was just what I needed after a stressful day of travel. The shrimp po'boy was really good - really well seasoned and balanced nicely with fresh, crisp veggies and pickles.“

From start to finish, the experience was top-tier. Manager Mia is a class act — professional, warm, and went above and beyond to make sure our group felt taken care of. Tee the bartender made me feel right at home, and Roc the owner personally came out to introduce himself and thank us for our business. That kind of hospitality is rare and truly appreciated. The food was phenomenal — my classmates couldn’t stop raving about it. The hookah was smooth, the drinks were on point, and the entire vibe made us feel like we were home away from home. They run a tight, professional ship with a welcoming atmosphere. We missed karaoke night (it’s on Sundays and we came on Saturday), but that just gives me a reason to come back — and I absolutely will. Thank you Mia, Tee, and Roc for making our reunion dinner so special. Much love from the Ribault Class of 2000!“

“Lyrick at Gretna Location went beyond an employee usually do. They were out of straws and she asked me did I want her to run down to the Smoothie King to grab some straws for me and my grand daughter. You don’t find many employees that would offer to do that. This young lady had a smile the whole time I was in this store.She gave good vibes and for this I will return to this store.“

“I've eaten here before and the food is to be as expected. It's chicken, fish and fried rice. Simple food, so you know what you're getting. I have no problem coming back again and again. What I do have a problem with is that you can't make a phone order. So, if I wanted 1000 pieces, I'd have to wait for them to fry 1k wings? That would dang near take over an hour of wait time to fry that instead of letting me pay for it over the phone and just picking it up at a stated time.“

Our server Breion went above and beyond to make my son's birthday extraordinary and the manager Shane spent a good amount of time making sure everything was perfect for us. “Went here my first time in college 1977, age 22, walk in a girl grabbed my hand and had me dance with her. I was fairly awkward young guy, so this really boosted my confidence . It was such a memorable experience. I just remember having some beers and eating some delicious chicken wings and always coming here on a regular basis. I’m 69 years old. “Today is my son's 13th birthday and he's been a hothead/heat seeker for as long as I can remember. For perspective, he finally convinced Santa after 2 years to gift him the One Chip Challenge when he was 7. Today, his special request was to eat the hottest wings we could find, so my hubby found this place online last night. It's a short drive from Metairie, so although he wanted to do the Bayou Beast Challenge, we only had time to get a to-go order with all the other birthday errands we were running. We got a 6 piece of the Bayou Beast flavored wings. The gentleman checking us out was an absolute stand up guy who was equal parts concerned and impressed when he realized the order wasn't for me, but for the short kid standing next to me who told him he didn't want or need a dipping sauce. He even offered him a birthday coke (probably as a piece offering to the gods as an apology for what was going to transpire in my bathroom later🤣). Now to the fun part. I normally do these challenges with him, but today he wanted to fly solo. So I prepped the counter for him as usual with milk, yogurt, wipes etc. When I opened the box? YALL! The smell burned my eyes and instantly gave me PTSD from when I ate Da Bomb wing in the Hot Wings Challenge last year. My newly minted teenager the proceeded to smash all 6 in 5 minutes and did it like a pro without even a sip of water. I managed to get a single bite before they disappeared and I can guarantee you, the bathroom will be your sanctuary. I would not survive more than 2 as a grown adult. Maybe he's a glutton for punishment. Maybe he's a mutant. But what I do know is my dude is determined to beat that challenge and get that shirt and picture on the wall, so we'll be back very soon!“
