While we were waiting on our supper, we snacked on some popcorn (which was FREE) and a cold Abita beer, and blessed to have the opportunity to pet a couple of sweet furry friends. Soon after that we were served a most delicious pesto BLT poboy that was large enough for us to share. Open Mic was awesome, too😎🎤🎸💯 We heard some awesome musicians sing & play guitar, and listened to someone read poetry. These tortillas were classified as corn, but I can tell you, they were next level, as they were not gritty or grainy like regular corn tortillas.

Freshly cooked, which resulted in a world, wind of textures. Crispy, tender tortillas, gooey melted cheese, tender beef, fresh onions, and parsley.

The salsa Verde was excellent, perfectly seasoned mild fresh tasting.

The consumé was excellent wonderful flavor.

I ate at the picnic style tables out front.

Jarritos drink selections. The owner came out herself and asked if everything was OK, which it was. She was very personable and a hard worker.

“The food was really good, like I was gonna save my mom some but I had to finish off the plate good. I got the fish w/rice beans and a salad. That rice was simple but very tasty! The re-fried beans is hands down the best beans I have ever had . Now that fish omg they had to have just caught it how fresh it tasted. “Awesome people and are willing to go the extra mile to make a customer happy. We picked up 15lbs of live crawfish at 12:30 in the afternoon and got home to clean them and prepare for a boil at 430. We noticed a few were dead and called and they let us know to wait and see if they wake up from being on ice. When we went to boil at 3 we noticed even more not moving and potentially dead. We brought them back and they kindly swapped it out for new crawfish. I appreciate them taking the time to show us a crawfish after being on ice and being kind to us and replacing them! Crawfish were amazing in size!“

Recently I had a burger with bacon and cheese and this is the ONLY place I’ve been that actually knows how to build a lettuce wrapped burger so I can eat it like a regular burger in a bun. I get tired of having to use a knife and fork to eat a bun-less burger with lettuce basically draped over it. Now if I can just leave those delicious fries alone! I’ll be back this afternoon! Yum! One tiny thing: Please put some hot sauce out on the condiment table with the ketchup and mayonnaise. I’m not a fan of the spicy ketchup, so I have to ask for Crystal hot sauce in a small plastic container. Not a biggie, just a suggestion.“
