“4.29.23 was the absolute best day of our lives! We had a “destination wedding” in New Orleans and it was even better than we dreamed it would be. We had both, catering and bar services, through Bacon and Fig. Hands down one of the most incredible parts of our wedding!! From the first time we reached out, Charlie was so kind and very responsive! He helped us put together the perfect menu for ourselves and our guests (we had about 80 guests). They were happy to travel to New Orleans (from Baton Rouge) and Hicks met us at the venue a few months prior to our wedding to do a walk through and map everything out for food stations and bar space. We wanted to feature signature cocktails for both the bride and groom, and Bacon and Fig nailed it!! We made a trip down to Baton Rouge to do a taste test of our menu choices and our signature drinks (which they made several versions of so we could pick THE perfect recipe). The hospitality at the taste test and on our wedding day was something we will never ever forget (and neither will our guests). I really can’t say enough great things about every bit of our experience with Bacon and Fig. We are so happy we found them and would gladly reccomend them!! We will definitely be making it a point to stop at their restaurant BR&Q on future trips down to Baton Rouge or New Orleans. It’s also worth mentioning that even in the midst of our busy wedding, I know we both saw Hicks constantly checking all stations and picking up any plates or trash left on tables. They boxed all leftovers up for us and cleaned the catering kitchen as well!“

“I had my birthday party at Eloise’s and had the best time ever! My friends and I decorated little cakes and even hit a piñata! This was really fun even though I’m in the 40+ club. The owner was really nice and easy to work with while making arrangements for my party. She was also very good at instructing my group of friends how to decorate the cakes. We had so much fun laughing and judging everyone’s cakes. The cake was AMAZING!!! The cake was so moist and delicious and the frosting- scrumptious! I’m definitely going to be a repeat customer!“
“I don't remember exactly what we got but it was definitely a combo big enough for 2. Being from Texas this reminded me of home. I really enjoyed it. They were patient and answered our questions. The place is small but feels country cozy. Negatives. Cornbread is to small it should be a square piece from a pan. Also surprisingly the max and cheese was not worth it. Wish they had longer hours for dinner but i understand the once were out were out system. I'll be back where I can make it“

“Absolutely loved this venue. My husband and I had our wedding here at the end of last year. The garden is what made me confirm to myself that this is where we will get married at. Christi is very organized and had everything flowing while we were enjoying our wedding. The garden was absolutely beautiful even though it was close to winter. The food was amazing, a ton of options to chose from and everybody keeps telling me about it. You have to see this venue for yourself to really see how truly gorgeous it is. Our wedding day was prefect and I would not change anything about it, and Christi and the Gatehouse is the reason why.“
