“Love it there there is no food unless food truck or someone cooking outside or for a game or a benefit or some kind of party like Mardi Gras...it's a neighborhood bar during the week and the best live music venue on the Northshore on the weekends. Playing the best music from all genre's but The Funky Blues has always been a Ruby's staple. It's always a happening place with good friendly folks and the best owners anyone could work for...place has been like family to me for the past 20 years...not to mention I had the pleasure and opportunity to work there for 10 years. I miss it so much but health issues prevents me from doing it anymore unless I'm asked to fill in and guest bartend for a day. “Cash only! Maps says they accept credit cards but when I went to pay my tab I was told cash only. There are two atm's across from the bar. Food was good. Had a BLT with Cajun fries. The Cajun fries were delicious. BLT was on point taste wise but I ordered extra bacon and the amount on my sandwich seemed average. Service was good overall. Not sure my receipt was right though. There were 4 items on the receipt when I only had 3 (entree with no plus ups and two cokes). Atmosphere is great. Very nautical bar with large patio on the water. Smoking is only allowed outside.“

“Went this evening with a large group (24) of friends. Service was fantastic. Drinks were flowing constantly. Orders were taken correctly and no issues separating checks. All the food came out quickly and hot. We’re a hard bunch and we put the chef and Waiter to a test. They both stepped up their game. The other staff helped as needed, no slacking from anyone. “It's been a while since I've visited this place. It has a nice environment to relax and grab a bite. Stopped by today just to grab a quick late lunch. I noticed they had the beef fajitas on special for 11.99 (Sunday special). So I decided to have that and a soft drink. Service was friendly. Food came out fast and tasted great. Total bill was around $20 including the tip. Excellent experience. Highly recommended if you're looking for a good place with delicious food that isn't overpriced.“
“WOW! What a great place! It was packed, but you don't really care. They have some nice rocking chairs looking out over the lake to calm your nerves, if that doesn't work they also have 3 bars upstairs that you can "pick your poison" and chill. We got some drinks and hung out upstairs overlooking the beautiful lake and all the activities that were going on. I think our wait was over an hour, but it only seemed a short while as the view was spectacular and the conversation was great with other guests. Everyone is very friendly here. The staff was top notch and even recognized the regular customers, which I plan to be from now on. Let's get to the food... In a word - Outstanding! From the chargrilled oysters to the chili shrimp appetizers to the main course, all was well more than anticipated. The cheesecake dessert was out of this world, creamy with the best flavor I've ever had. Definitely give this place a try. You won't regret it.“

“This place is quite nice. The bartender, Andre, was quite hospitable and knew about the company he worked for. Apparently it's a franchise that has been around since 1983. The drink was great that I had. There are 15 different flavors so there are a lot of opportunities to mix and match your own. You want decadent? Sweet and Sour? Tangy? Fruity? It's all here.“
