“Have not been here in a long time. The view from the front porch seating was great, luckily it was cooler than normal in Louisiana. We ordered fried onion rings, which you can get in thick or thin cut, which we opted for half and half. Sauce for them was spot on and they were cooked to perfection. My wife and her friend split a soft shell crab po-boy as well as each had a cup of shrimp and crabmeat bisque and they loved it. I ordered a shrimp nobody and it was truly over stuffed! This was some of the best fried shrimp I've had lately and the bread they use is perfect for po-boys. Our waitress and the rest of the staff were super friendly and very attentive. We even walked the area and came back in to have a drink at the bar before we headed back home. Not me, I am always DD.“

“The atmosphere was wonderfully quiet and serene... looking out onto the water while eating was beautiful! The ambience perfect. The food was fantastic. I enjoyed stone crab claws, luckily in season, while my friend had turtle soup followed by a shrimp dish that was delicious. We could not have been happier! This restaurant was superb and I would recommend it to everyone to dine here!“

“The Anchor thoroughly impressed us. We were celebrating our daughters birthday and what a perfect choice she made. All of us were in agreeance that this was the best pizza in all of St. Tammany. My wife and I split a pizza with meatball, red onion, mushroom. I can't wait to return. The flavor was like a party in my mouth. In fact not just pizza, but the appetizer, focaccia with this most incredible green onion & garlic compote type sauce that you just couldn't get enough of. We also had the jalapeno poppers pizza, which was also delicious.The daiquiris were on point and get ya buzzing with the first one. The service was on point. The scenery is beautiful. Kids are able to play right outside the patio area. This is a win win for everyone, just a wonderful time waiting for you to arrive. We loved everything.“

“We come here every year for my birthday, and this visit was the best one yet! The waiter and (I believe) the manager were absolutely incredible. We had our son and our 10-month-old daughter with us. I I asked about ordering her some sweet potatoes. Since their butter contains honey I wanted to make sure it was not in the sweet potatoes. They aren’t made in-house, so they didn’t have the ingredient details right away, but they immediately went above and beyond to help. They even offered to run next door to the grocery store or prepare something special just for her so she could have something safe to eat. Their kindness and care meant so much to us…truly the best service ever! We’ll definitely keep coming back every year.“

“I've been enjoying Times Grill since the mid 90s. It's the only place around that has been consistently awesome, always fresh, always friendly. I have a family of picky eaters and it's the one place we can all agree upon. In my book, that's huge.“

My problem came with the 3% credit card surcharge. I don't know how many customers pay cash, but I don't think the 60 cents was worth the loss of a customer.“

“The sushi is fresh daily! I’ve seen their trucks delivering fresh fish all the time. The tonkatsu ramen is amazing and their poke rainbow bowl is delicious, filling, light and a great value. Their lunch boxes are the best deal in town. Can’t beat the food you get for the price. You get a salad, a soup, and an entree with veggies noodles rice and protein with gyoza for about 12-15$.“

“I have been to this establishment many times and with any place you cannot rate it on only one experience! Frankly we have never been treated poorly or had a bad meal. The service and food has never disappointed us. If I rated any establishment on only one experience whether bad or good I probably would never eat out because the people who prepare or serve us are only human and think about if someone rated you after only one experience and just so happens that day was an off day…….ponder on that for a while!“

“This is a quaint restaurant on the lakefront in Mandeville. I had the Killer Quesadilla with shrimp. It was great. The sweet potato fries were very good. These were waffle fries which added to the crispness of fries. The queso was a little think but was good. Service was good also.“

“General tile chicken, lo mein chicken broccoli dumplings. This is what we ordered all excellent the lo mein is not spaghetti noodles like you see at other restaurants wonderful sauce for the generals chicken as well as the chicken and broccoli highly recommended.“

“I happen to be passing through town and found this place. From the outside it has a Mexican puebla look and the inside was big and clean. I had the enchiladas with salsa verde and a michelada and my sister ordered the carne asada tacos. The server was very nice and new the menu quite well. I mentioned to her I only like the spicy micheladas with salt and lime so if it was a sweet one then would opt for the margarita instead. She politely said okay but had a look like why would we make it sweet? Some Mexican American places do that but traditionally its salt lime and spices. Anyhow the enchiladas were pretty good. The portion was big and the salsa verde was mildly spicy with a little tang to it. I did love how the corn tortillas were a little toasted eventhough they were drenched in sauce. My sister's plate on the other hand made me and my brother in law jealous. I have no clue what he ordered and forgot about my own plate when the carne asada came out on a skillet with caramelized onions huddled around it. It was perfectly seared and lightly salted and the tortillas was fresh corn tortilla off the hot iron. If you like tacos let me tell you it does not get better then that. All in all it is a good place with genuine Mexican food and if you want to find other more traditional Latin American places ask the servers they know their food.“
