I really wish I would’ve got the server’s name she was amazing and was the bright spot of our visit
We decided on a half a poor boy and a cup of soup along with a half order of hush puppies
Our amazing server brought our tea and kept them full
When the hush puppies came they were light fluffy very flavorful probably some of the best I’ve ever eaten
That was just a prelude to the rest of the meal, next course that came was my seafood gumbo again probably one of the best I’ve ever eaten amazing flavor and seafood in every bite
My wife had had the crawfish corn chowder and it was also amazing, ask me how I know lol
When our poor boys came my wife chose the catfish and I had the shrimp
If I wasn’t so caught up in the moment I would’ve taken a picture I could not even see the bun there was so much shrimp same for my wife they are not stingy with the portions
It was a perfect, the bun was the type that was flaky and crispy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside
The breading on the shrimp and catfish was the type that was crunchy and crisp but not over seasoned you could actually taste the catfish and shrimp you know what I mean

I got the lg rib plate with the add on chicken wings and my husband got the 1/2 chicken and we shared to try it all and man when I say it was amazing it was amazing. The sweet potato casserole was so good. The green beans where just alright but the corn, macaroni and cheese and the baked beans were really and did I say really good. Thanks for not disappointing us we drove two hours to get there and will 100% be back sooner rather than later.”

Then it's very embarrassing to see customers passing the hat to pay for their portion of the meal with cash trying to figure out tax and tip. Everywhere I've been, there is no problem separating checks. I've been to New Orleans and requested separate checks and the waiters seem confused and then it becomes a huge delay. It's sad this restuarant has good food and atmosphere with this type of service and doesn't make it easy for customers to do business with them. They make easy for themselves but not for the customers. Go figure”

We were told by the hostess that there was an hour wait and that there was barely anywhere to sit so she advises that we could sit at the bar which we did the sushi bar that is. After waiting for some time Chef Trevor noticed that we were not being really engaged. He then asked me if the kids and I would like something to drink so what you said yes the hostess one of the waiters chef Trevor’s prompting, served us drinks as well as kept our cups filled Thank you! we were very grateful for the kindness that was bestowed upon us. The Hostess. After advising of the long wait, didn’t offer a drink of water nothing. Never engaged, never updated nothing. It was busy so I didn’t panic. We just waited. Chef Trevor was very attentive. Updating and very engaging! He made our visit a pleasure. Thank you Chef Trevor! I hope that you were able to Kater Annex sushi party!❤️❤️❤️”

A very sweet Asian woman greets guests with genuine care, warm smiles, and lots of attention. The entire staff is extremely pleasant, the service is very fast, and the food is delicious.
I honestly don’t understand who wrote all those negative reviews about this place. I’m really glad I didn’t believe them and decided to come here myself — mostly because this sushi restaurant was close to my hotel. The bad reviews didn’t scare me, and I chose to give it a try.
All those previous bad reviews feel strange and even absurd, almost as if they were written by competitors. It’s hard to believe that people could have such drastically different experiences in the same place.”

“New Orleans is nortorius for not separating checks. I find this very inconvenient to the customer especially when you have party larger than two. Then it's very embarrassing to see customers passing the hat to pay for their portion of the meal with cash trying to figure out tax and tip. Everywhere I've been, there is no problem separating checks. I've been to New Orleans and requested separate checks and the waiters seem confused and then it becomes a huge delay. It's sad this restuarant has good food and atmosphere with this type of service and doesn't make it easy for customers to do business with them. They make easy for themselves but not for the customers. Go figure”

“I brought my son to the Metairie LA store today at approximately 7:30pm. This is the first time I had an awful experience. I could not even eat my food. I ordered a burger xtra lettuce xtra MOOYAH sauce grilled onions no pickles wheat bun. A family in front of me placed their to dine in and were given a number. A young lady fixed their food with gloves on her hands and brought it to the family and she takes the number from them with the SAME gloves on her hands and proceeds behind the counter to fix the next order. Sliding her gloved hands along the counter. She goes to the grill to work on the next order. She slides the patty off of the spatula on to the bun with the SAME gloved hands. She then puts the fries in the bag but a handful fell on the counter. She picks the fries up off the counter with the SAME gloved hands and puts them in the bag. Calls my name to tell me that my order is ready. I tell her that I do not want it please make my order over. I take it to go when I get home the order is completely wrong!!! I’m so hungry but upset!!! I’ll be calling them tomorrow.”

“We live in Alabama and came to New Orleans for the weekend to see family. Hands down the best pizza we’ve ever had!!!! Super cheesy, not too greasy, cooked just right! Our waitress was so sweet and talked with our 4 year old, I wish I would have gotten her name, she left half way through us being there and the waiter that took over was just as sweet! I told him I need them to come open a store in lower Alabama and if not imma have to make the 4-5 hour drive once a month just for the pizza😂”
