“I live close by and have passed this place so many times on the way to work but never had the time to stop in until today cos I wanted a fun place to go to celebrate my birthday and I've never been one for the maddening crowd that goes along with the vibe that Bourbon St. has. This place is absolutely a great little gem for those who just want to relax and have a drink. The bartender is a complete sweetheart and so friendly, the drinks are very affordable AND strong and I very much enjoyed celebrating my birthday there! It's kind of like the New Orleans version of Cheers LOL I just hope at some point they will have karaoke on the weekends but I will definitely be frequenting there more often from now on.“

“Le Bon Temps is one of those places where you have an amazing experience one night and a not so great one the next time you go. The crowd is a varied one, from college kids to retiree, there is no shortage of variety in clientele. That is nice to see, the generations partying together. There are two pool tables that have been upgraded recently so they are much better to play on. They have the 3 slots to play, a jukebox, and a back room that hosts some pretty big names and some not so known ones. There is a cute little patio off the side to have a smoke and the decor is classic NOLA dive. The bathrooms are generally clean, as is the bar area, unless there is a big crowd for a show and they are swamped that is. But a little mess is to be expected in that situation.
The staff is like the guests, varied. Sometimes you get the perfect bartender and other times it's like they forgot they were at work. I mean, I'm all for having fun with your patrons but when you see customers walk in the bar and still stay outside for another 10 minutes while they wait inside, that's just rude. It doesn't take that long to smoke a cig. But when the bartender finally did come in, she still didn't give us people that just got there service, she went and talked to people that were already there with a drink, looked at the security cameras and joked about the people, right about the time we were set to walk out (18 minutes waiting) she finally came over and asked if we needed a drink. It was quite discouraging. Thankfully it isn't like that often. Most of the bartenders are on point and friendly. They also make a good drink, like a real drink, not overloaded with booze, but a good tasting mix and the prices are really good for NOLA. It is your neighborhood bar, not Bourbon Street crazy.“

“My friend and I recently hosted a 40th birthday party for our wives. Carrolton Station was the perfect venue and Will and his team provided outstanding food and service. Our guests were all equally impressed. I highly Recommend Carrollton Station for parties and celebrations, in addition to just being a great neighborhood bar. The food is much better than your typical bar food and the outdoor patio is a fantastic venue! Go check them out!“

“Last Friday we had a Rehearsal Dinner and after the that a welcome party for my daughter’s wedding at Oak and Ale. We rented out the Oak Bar and the Patio area. The event was a huge success. The food was delicious, the details and special touches that Jillian put together for our event were so thoughtful and just perfect for our event. The service from the bar tenders and the servers and the kitchen staff was amazing! We could not be happier with all those at Oak and Ale that made our evening so special, including the great crawfish that our out of town guests got to try! The food was delicious, many compliments from our guests and even locals said the gumbo was fantastic! I would highly recommend Oak and Ale!!!“

“My bestie and I visited Monday during Essence Fest Weekend and had the best server Centorrey. She was very attentive and honest from the time we sat down til the time we departed. Her customer service was A+++ Centorrey made coming to this restaurant a joy that I had to see her manager personally and verbally tell him what an amazing job she did. Thank you so much Centorrey and Hadji (Manager) for a great experience. The food and drinks were on point as well just removed those little airplane fans because that do nothing for that NOLA heat.
