“What an awesome gem that we found on the way to the Jazz Fest. Located in Mid-City, the building and the restaurant has been around for a long time. We arrived at 10:30am and had a yummy roast beef & gravy po boy on the best bread I have ever had on a sandwich!! The venue is set up for community and it was clear that all are welcome. Even in the morning, the staff was friendly and inviting and the locals and tourists were coming by for great food, drinks, and a good time.“

“My husband and I were looking for a spot with delicious oysters and good food for lunch and decided to try gallier's because the photos looked so good. We were not disappointed, it taste just as good as it looks. We got the oyster sampler with oysters 4 ways: raw, creole, chargrilled, and Rockefeller. All of which were very fresh & tasty. We also got the fried gator poboy & it was seasoned to perfection. The bread was so soft. Our waiter was tentative and friendly. The restaurant was clean & inviting. Strongly recommend this place“

“I thoroughly enjoy my experiences at Cooter Brown's Tavern. During my recent visit – not my first – I indulged in their delicious fried oysters, which were simply outstanding. Additionally, their fried fish and cheese fries surpassed my expectations. The service was prompt and welcoming, contributing to the establishment's laid-back atmosphere. Undoubtedly, Cooter Brown's Tavern ranks among my favorite spots in New Orleans.“

“Everything is fantastic big fan of the roast beef with extra gravy and letting it marinate for about 10 minutes just trust me on that. Over all 6/5 for everything but I am going to have to give a 4/5 star review as I wanted to support them a bit more by getting some domilise’s merch so I went with the apron as I love to cook and have a collection of them. I loved the design with the poboys and all the Nola icons but was very disappointed to see that the domilise’s name was nowhere on it. I’m glad I got to support the store but kinda upset I didn’t get branded merchandise from the store especially since I could order this apron from anywhere after a quick google search. Will still be going there but that apron got kinda lame when I got home and realized what had happened. All I want is to show my friends where the best poboys in New Orleans are.“

“Visited Mandina’s as part of a birthday celebration for my nephew. My wife and I split a muffuletta and fries as we had had a larger lunch. The Muffuletta was good as were the fries. Everyone else in our party had one of Mandina’s variations on spaghetti and all enjoyed their meal. Appetizers of fried onion rings and crawfish cakes were quite tasty. Service was good. A little pricy, but again, the restaurant is in the Mid City ward of New Orleans. Worth checking out!“

“The host/manager was a bit off and made us stand in the doorway for several minutes before seating us in a near empty restaurant but once we were seated our server was great and the food was exceptional. Amazing gumbo and the crawfish mac and cheese was a winner. Solid drinks too. Check this place out.“

“We had salty oysters, oysters on the half shell, Gator bites, and crawfish meatballs. Everything was delightful, but we were surprised that they can't count to 12. We were shorted one oyster, and at the price they charge, that's a big deal. When we called it to their attention, they graciously brought us the one we were missing plus one extra. All in all we had a great experience. Our waiter was top notch, thr atmosphere great, and Bryon was a delight to visit with.“

“Everything about this place is Amazing. You don't have to dress up if you don't want to that's #1. The service is quick, very responsive and our server knew what he was talking about when askeed about menu recommendations. My boyfriend picked a winner with this restaurant for my 3rd birthday celebratory dinner and we left full, satisfied and happy. If you're going here for your birthday they do a sparkler, slice of cake and a song. I had the escargot which tasted so good, the redfish was the fish of the day and it was moist, flavorful and melt in your mouth delicious. We also had the chargrilled oysters with cheese and they did not dissapoint and the crawfish beignets were a big size and cooked to perfection with a nice little crush balanced with the flakiness. This is definately a must try spot! Parking close is a little hard to find so I would leave earlier to plan for that and I would recommend making a reservation. Luckily my boyfriend did and they had a table all ready for us as soon as we walked in and they wished me happy birthday as soon as they saw the note on the reservation.“

“Located in the heart of Lakeview, Russell’s Marina Diner stands as a cherished beacon of New Orleans’ rich culinary tradition.Since its inception in 1985, this diner has carved out a niche for itself as the go-to destination for exceptional breakfasts, weaving itself into the fabric of the city’s dining scene. With a menu that spans the gamut from indulgent fried chicken and waffles to a diverse array of egg specialties, Russell’s caters to a broad spectrum of tastes. Not forgetting the health-conscious, the diner also offers lighter fare such as eggwhite omelets and sweet potato pancakes, ensuring that every patron leaves satisfied. The dining experience is further enhanced by the option to enjoy your meal either inside the diner’s cozy interior, at the counter where the local vibe thrives, in their inviting dining room, or outside on the pet-friendly patio, making it perfect for every occasion.During my visit, I decided to try the legendary Egg Saints #33—a daring concoction that perfectly embodies New Orleans’ flair for culinary innovation. This dish features a grilled biscuit topped with alligator sausage, grilled tomatoes, poached eggs, and smothered in homemade country gravy. Each component of the dish harmonizes to create a breakfast experience that is both unique and profoundly satisfying. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with the diner’s unmistakable local charm, enhanced by the friendly service that made me feel right at home. The ambiance, a blend of the cozy and the communal, set the perfect stage for what was to be an unforgettable meal. The Premier League playing softly in the background added a touch of camaraderie, reminiscent of a neighborhood café where everyone is welcome. The highlight of my visit was, without a doubt, the food. The Egg Saints #33 was a revelation, transforming the classic eggs Benedict into a dish that captivated my palate and left me pondering the culinary prowess behind it.Every bite was a testament to Russell’s commitment to quality and innovation, making it clear why this diner holds a special place in the hearts of New Orleans’ residents and visitors alike. In a city lauded for its vibrant food scene, claiming the title of "best breakfast" is no small feat.Yet, as I left Russell’s Marina Diner, I was already yearning to return and dive deeper into their menu. This hidden gem is an absolute must-visit for anyone looking to experience the soul of New Orleans through its food, served with a side of unmatched hospitality.“

“Had a craving for boiled shrimp. I don't know why. Searched Yelp and Bon Temps Boulet's came up. I had never heard of it. It was less than 2 miles from my house, and apparently I had driven past it many times without knowing it was there. Reviews were excellent, so I jumped in the car and drove there. Funky little place. But great vibe. Nice 5 person bar, maybe 7 tables inside. I ordered the boiled shrimp to go. A pound of headless boiled shrimp for $13. The gentleman that took my order was attentive, but also perfectly funky. I can see why some people might find him off putting. I didn't. Shrimp came out in less than 5 minutes. The shrimp were some of the best I have ever had. They were perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. I highly recommend. And I will be headed back this week. Check it out.“

We also ordered several appetizers and all were very good with fresh ingredients. Will definitely be back!“

“My wife and I have really grown to love the Metairie Carrabba’s. When it originally opened years ago, we went once and were not impressed so despite leaving nearby we never went back. A friend mentioned it maybe 6-months ago and she swore it was pretty good so we gave it another chance and we are glad we did. We now maybe go 3 times or so a month. We had one problem with a server lately and I asked for a manager and Blake promptly solved the issue and took care of us the rest of the night. The food has always been very good, the service pretty quick and the bar service very good too. Our two favorite servers are Mel and Sara but with the exception of that one night the service has always been great too. I recommend Carrabba’s for a dinner for two or a small group of friends. Their “wine dinners” are also a hit for us. It’s nice to have somewhere close to home that you know is rock solid on the food & service. Thanks to Blake and his team!“

“We stopped here on our way out of town on vacation because I still hadn't tried a po boy. I have no idea of these are authentic, but they were amazing! I got the shrimp and fried green tomato with roumalade, and I am going to be thinking about that sandwich for a long time. We also tried the boudin balls and the red beans and rice, and those were great as well. Affordable, fun ambiance with all the football memorabilia. “We went there on the afternoon of 2/3/24. Mom had been wanting to try it and I actually thought they were closed on Saturdays but we drove by just in case and found them to be open. Atmosphere is, eh. There were no lemons for the sweet tea and they ran out of regular fries for my order so I had to substitute with sweet potato fries. But the burger made up for anything that might have been lacking. That burger was so flavorful and hot and juicy! One of THE best burgers I've had in a long time! It tasted like something I would have made at home. I really appreciated how good it was. And the sweet potato fries were piping hot! I'd go again.“

“Felt like home. Very old school restaurant, specializing in Louisiana Seafood. The building is older, but very clean and well maintained. The entire staff was very friendly. “My sister was visiting from California & I picked her up in NOLA; we both wanted some good cajun food, but no tourist traps! Williams seafood did not disappoint, it's been 3-4 months now & I cannot recall exactly what we ordered, but I know two fantastic po-boys (probably a shrimp & half shrimp/oyster) & a couple of cups of fabulous Gumbo & a fried appetizer (pickles I think) appeared on or table in exchange for a mere ~$37... WOW! Good bye forever to stupid, overpriced touristy joints when I'm visiting NOLA. Williams seems to be a locals joint, as many patrons came in & were immediately greeted by first name. Williams deserves high-praises: friendly/locals type of service with first-name recognition, excellent quality food prepared well &all for a reasonable price, I will be back! I also recommended Williams to my youngest son & his girlfriend when they were in NOLA a few weeks later & they both said it was awesome!. It's counter service for ordering & a bit of a smaller seating area, but our food came out quick, hot & fresh with no seating or or other negative issues - give Williams a try, you won't be disappointed.“

“My only regret is not finding this spot sooner! I'm in town a few times a month and just happened to drive by and stop today. First off the waitress (Mrs. Lisa) was amazing! Super friendly and sweet! drink never ran out before I had another sitting beside it. I ordered the fried craw claws and the swamp platter. It was all cooked fresh and came out very quick. Seasoning was on point! very large portions (no chance you're leaving hungry) This is the first restaurant in the area I give a 10 out of 10. let's face it most NOLA restaurants rush food in and out and season just enough to get by because of the tourists! I'll be seeing you again Mrs. Lisa! (side note her husband is also a Dolphins fan so make that 11 out of 10 stars)“

“My first time at Perino's Restaurant and thought that they have a very clever way with their menu. Instead of having 20 or 30 different sandwiches listed on their menu, you buy a basket of food let's say you get a basket of shrimp or fish. If you want to make a sandwich out of it they charge you like less than $3 and you get two pieces of French bread, lettuce, tomato and pickles and you just make it yourself. Condiments are on the table to add yourtself as well. I thought to myself how genius this is and certainly cuts back on the number of items on the menu. It certainly cuts back on any issues with my sandwich wasn't dressed correctly.I love the atmosphere and the wait staff was super friendly.I'll be back for sure.“

“Everything was great. Our original two servers were very good. However, one of the food runners was very rude. Even to the other 2 servers. We spoke to the manager just to let them know and they were very nice and insisted on bringing us a free dessert. The reason I share this is not to receive anything for free, just to show how it really is a team effort and one bad team member can make or break you. Thank you Flemings for trying to make this right, I hope the runner was just having a bad day and everything was resolved.“

“Located in the heart of Harahan, Bobby's Seafood emerges as a cherished destination for those in pursuit of genuine Louisiana culinary delights. This seafood sanctuary offers both aficionados and casual diners a chance to indulge in the state's rich flavors through its market-style presentation of fresh and expertly boiled seafood, alongside classic po' boys filled with shrimp, oyster, catfish, and even roast beef.Bobby's is more than just a seafood market; it's a warm, family-operated gem where the essence of Louisiana-style cooking is celebrated daily. The space is unpretentious yet inviting, prioritizing the quality of its offerings and the satisfaction of its guests over elaborate decor. With its reasonable pricing and commitment to top-notch seafood coupled with exceptionally welcoming service, Bobby's Seafood stands as a must-visit spot for anyone craving an authentic taste of Louisiana, be it for a quick bite or a sumptuous Cajun feast. My recent visit to Bobby's Seafood for their much-acclaimed boiled crawfish turned out to be a gastronomic success story. I got a hefty five-pound order, from which I meticulously peeled 136 tails, encountering only one questionable contender – a testament to the quality and care put into each batch. This endeavor yielded an impressive 27.2 tails per pound, a figure that speaks volumes about the generous portions and the meatiness of the crawfish served at Bobby’s.The fruits of my labor were twofold: two cups of succulent crawfish tails ready to be transformed into various delectable recipes and sixteen cups of rich crawfish shells, earmarked for a flavorful stock. This not only promised future culinary delights but also showcased the value and sustainability inherent in my purchase, allowing me to maximize every ounce of my order.Bobby's Seafood delivers on the promise of well-cooked, perfectly spicy crawfish. The seasoning was masterfully balanced, offering that sought-after kick without overwhelming the palate or igniting a firestorm in your mouth. It's a spicy equilibrium that enhances rather than masks the natural, sweet flavor of the crawfish. My experience at Bobby’s Seafood was overwhelmingly positive, marked by high-quality seafood and the kind of hearty, flavorful meal that leaves you planning your next visit before the first has even concluded.“
