“I want to make some suggestions rather than saying I do or don’t recommend this place. I’m familiar with Pepper’s, and I like to support hard-working chefs, especially when they use local farms and vendors. The overall concept of self-service is fine, but I preferred the table service of the old restaurant. It felt a little more closed in, and I also don’t like the paper plates, cups, and plastic utensils. Real utensils were available, though. The salad choices looked really healthy and colorful, and the menu was certainly varied enough. I saw a frittata being served and it was the size of a half piece of pie, though it looked good. My friends and I opted for soup and grilled cheese sandwiches, thinking they would be more like upscale comfort food. Two of us had the bacon-tomato version, the other had the mushroom. Since they were pre-made, then popped in a convection oven, they were more like melted cheese on dry, light toast, versus the buttery, golden goodness that makes a grilled cheese what its name implies. The portion was small and the fillings meager. If the idea was to make it a healthier grilled cheese, even a drizzle of olive oil might help. The soup was luke-warm, but tasty enough. We shared a dessert bar, which was delicious, with black coffee, which didn’t taste fresh like it had ben sitting a while. Be forewarned that if you pay by credit card, an automatic 15 percent tip is added, though you have the option to change it up or down, if you happen to notice it. There wasn’t much service involved, and you clear your own table. My portion alone, which included the sandwich with chips, a cup of soup, dessert bar, and coffee, plus added tip came to just under twenty dollars. I would give it another shot, but there is room for improvement. We all agreed that the dining experience was at a grade of about C+. Wishing you success in the future... Hope this helps.“

We sat outside, had a beautiful view of the mountains, seating was quaint, and they had some soft music playing in the background. The food was not every-day fare, it was creative, delicious and perfect. I recommend the striped bass with sweet potato puree, and a sauce made from a plum wine. I paired with the strawberry rubarb wine..... every sip and every bite was perfect!“

Bar service was too notch and the woman tending bar could not have been more attentive and pleasant. “I found myself in Worcester yesterday and searched for vegan food online and found Belmont Vegetarian among others listed. After seeing several pictures of dishes I decided to go! And I’m glad I did! Belmont Vegetarian (where everything is vegan) was delicious and in heaping portions. There’s a smaller (but still big) container for only $17 and change and a giant container (which I obviously got) for $19 and change. I got BBQ, mac n cheese, rice , beans, and chickpeas, and some sweet n sour steak. They also make their own delicious juice with sea moss. I got watermelon. The place is set up for takeout mostly with only 2 dining tables.Definitely worth the drive from NH!“

“ok, so I'm not sure what happened tonight, but a far different experience from a few weeks ago. Then Iwas impressed with service, food, cocktails. the whole experience was just wonderful last time. after that girls night out, I raved to hubby "we got go there!" I work in Leominster, but live 45 mins away, so we usually dine out more local to home. Tonight started with an espresso martini...well, they've decided to top it with a cold foam type of topping. so the whole top have inch of the glass is foam, not beverage. martinis are expensive, a martini should be brim full, disappointed and felt cheated for the price. I ordered their boneless "jumbo chicken wings". turned out to be 6 little chunks of chicken, not much bigger than mcnuggets, and they were way over cooked to the point they were rock hard. I had to discreetly remove some from my mouth because they were beyond rock-hard. a dining companion in the group had the same experience with hers.the sauces I chose to accompany were tasty, but they didn't do much to help the chicken. the female bartender was great, attentive, and happy. wish I could rave, but not this time sadly.will try again because I don't think this was normal“

“I was beyond excited when I realized there was a Ted's near Marlborough because I hadn't been to one since I lived in CO over a decade ago. And thankfully it was as great as I remember. The partially pickled cucumbers at the beginning = delicious little snack. I ordered the 1977 America's Cup burger, bison of course, without cheese, and it was FANTASTIC! “I personally think this place is awesome, especially when it comes to the service alone. I didn’t quite get to experience it as a regular diner, but rather as an event vendor, since I was there capturing a wedding.

The ladies working the event space upstairs, who I believe go by Alisha and Janice (and please forgive me if I got their names wrong!), were absolutely unreal. They were so kind, attentive, and genuinely nice—which is something I honestly don’t encounter too often as a vendor.

They weren’t just friendly and helpful to the guests; they were that way with me as well. The staff went above and beyond — multiple people came by to thank us for coming, especially when they learned we had driven two hours to be there. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare and made the night extra special. Dinner started with warm homemade bread and oil for dipping. Scott had the braised short ribs, I had the steak tips with grilled veggies — both were absolutely delicious. We ended by sharing the most incredible strawberry shortcake with homemade grilled biscuits, lemon curd, strawberries, ice cream, and whipped cream (with a candle, of course!). 🍓✨ In a city with so many options, Joey’s was truly the best choice. We’ll definitely be back — even though it’s a two-hour drive, it’s absolutely worth it!“

“The best breakfast & food service in town, and possibly anywhere around by a long shot. They truly go above and beyond to make everyone’s experience exceptional.

I’ve driven cross country 9 times and have eaten at countless breakfast spots locally and all over the country, and this is still my favorite place anywhere. I honestly feel so lucky that a place this good is right here in my own town.

The food is consistently incredible, the portions are generous, everything is fresh and cooked exactly how it should be, and there’s clearly a lot of care that goes into what they serve. Their sauces are absolutely to die for, you will want to put them on everything.

The service is what really sets them apart. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and taken care of, and that kind of genuine effort is getting harder and harder to find.

I’ve tried a LOT of breakfast places over the years, including some that are highly recommended and well-known, and I still find myself comparing them to this place. Somehow, this little local spot continues to win.

This isn’t one of those reviews where I’m trying to convince myself that a place is great because it’s local. I’ve had the opportunity to eat all over the country, and this is genuinely my favorite.

“We were just passing through today, as we don’t live in MA. Coming from a medical appt, we wanted to refuel before hitting the road again. We stopped into the Diner, 4 of us, hungry & ready to eat. We were pleased with the large and varied selection of food offerings. This alone would have made it a pleasant experience, but we’d also like to mention what made it fantastic. Warm customer service with a smile! Also, after learning more about this business, we see that they help their community with offering free meals on Thanksgiving and they also help those who are less fortunate. We also learned they are a well-known stop for essential workers, staying open even in difficult weather. We appreciate this, as our son is a plow driver and an essential worker. The portion sizes were more than adequate and the eggplant lasagne tasted like it came from a high-end restaurant. The only disappointing thing is that I wished we lived closer!“
