“Very tasty food, great service. No reservations, first come first serve. Prices are not super inexpensive but it is worth the cost. We were only grabbing a snack as we had some commitment afterward. “Decided to go out for dinner with a few friends and it was delicious. I liked the citrus dressing on the avocado salad. The filet mignon was tender and flavorful. For dessert, green tea ice cream is a must!“

“Kenzoku Mazesoba is a great eatery for comforting, brothless ramen (mazesoba). The interior is bright and the staff are accommodating.

The meal started with three warm Kurobuta sausages that were topped with pickled red cabbage and a mustard-based sauce over fresh greens. Overall, a well-rounded appetizer with a nice balance of textures, richness, and acid.

Next, the torched Hamachi roll had fresh fish slices laid on a roll and then torched. The hamachi was then topped with black tobiko and complemented with fresh ginger and wasabi. The roll was light and tasty.

The Yuzu Shio Ramen was the standout and featured braised pork chashu and a delicious poached egg. The medium-bodied noodles were a pleasant to chew with the toppings.

The vegetable mazesoba (vegan) included tofu soboro, mix of corn, quinoa, red pickles, and other goodies. It was a lighter flavor and we appreciated the opportunity to order the truffle oil on the side.

Overall, recommended for a casual and pleasant dinner among family and friends. The food quality and atmosphere make this hidden gem a great choice.“

“Visiting Boston, I stopped here because I wanted to come back and have lunch in Chinatown. The place was empty besides another couple of friends that were sitting parallel to me. The service was excellent, and the food was excellent. I had some shrimp tempura and a ribeye soup bowl. I recommend visiting for a quick solo or friends lunch.“

It's really fresh and there are a lot of varieties, except for the sea urchin, which is a bit fishy Octopus Carpaccio ⭐️ The seasoning is very refreshing and the octopus is very chewy, I love it Torched Japanese Scallop ⭐️ It was very light, I couldn't really taste the seasoning, but it was very tender Unagi Don ⭐️ A friend ordered this. Arguably, one of the best I’ve had anywhere and *definitely*, the best omakase in Boston!

I really enjoyed the variety, the freshness was superb, all the chefs were very knowledgeable and provided curious facts; which both, complemented and expanded on the experience. Given the low price tag that this omakase comes with — the lowest in Boston — this really seems like an impossible experience; and yet it’s here!

I’ve only gone last week but I’m already eager to return.

“favorite cafe in the area! the ambiance is conducive for studying so i come pretty often- it's quiet, sunny, with a fixed playlist that is very jazzy compliments the interior decor well.

their green tea is bright in color and is super smooth. it's not bitter after seeped in water for a while compared to the higher grade green teas i own. the matcha tea and latte are great as well- both vibrant green and a perfect level of sweetness. the matcha used is very good quality & remind me of the matcha i had in japan :,)

as for food- i haven't tried much of the options yet but the spicy salmon, tuna, shiitake onigiri is yummy and rice usually fresh and soft. also the taiyaki and other deserts are light, not too sweet

overall, i'd definitely recommend! the workers are kind and super attentive. there's a very detailed list of allergens which was so helpful for me, and my sibling who has allergies to wheat (no soy sauce), among other restrictions“

We sat outside on the Patio and were Greeted by our Waitress who was Welcoming and Helpful with Menu choices. “Basho is an incredible restaurant. The black cod is the best I’ve had and I have been around the world twice. I love your soup. The miso ramen is incredible the right amount of tofu spice and noodle makes it so delectable anything that ails you it will cure. The shrimp fried rice had nearly a dozen large shrimp in it the taste was sublime and full of vegetable, completely disheveled for easy consumption.. the pork Gyoza was just a vine, and the sauce that came with it was not salty, but added just the right amount of zippy flavor. Their cocktails are amazing and go without saying that they’re inventive and delicious as well as refreshing and light……. As always, I would will return to Basho even after these five years, it is one of the best restaurants in the fenway, and it is a must visit.!!!!!“

“Over the past couple of years I have been to U Sushi countless times. The owners are always helpful and the food comes out quickly, whether for dine-in or takeout. A cozy spot to eat in, or perfect to takeaway and eat at home. The food is reasonably priced and delicious. Open late, which is rare in this neighborhood!“

Options are simple, my go to is the chicken and shrimp plate with fried rice (has never done me wrong). Ask for extra sauce at the end when they’re about to finish plating (if they haven’t asked you already).

The one issue is that there usually isn’t enough sauce for all the food, but honestly, we as a nation would benefit from eating less sodium ?.“
