“Best sushi place in Brighton! Amazing staff and amazing food! One of my favorite places to order from. I can’t remember how many times I’ve ordered from here, but I’ve never been disappointed once or had a complaint. It’s a great place!“

The fried crab in the spider maki was not crispy at all, but the scorpion maki was very good. The ginger on the side was also good.Good and fast service. My order was ready within 10 minutes. I made a mistake ordering online and somehow ordered an extra of a roll. I called within a minute and there was no trouble getting it changed to a different roll and paying the difference in person (in cash).There is another takeout place just a block away that has similar prices, with some things better and some things worse. I would try this place again.“

Make sure to understand the ordering system and portion sizes for each item: Service is really fast, so don’t order a ton of things in your first order (like we did), you can keep requesting as much more as you can eat at fixed price, also reduced price for kids. Street parking may be somewhat difficult depending on time of day.“

“Delicious Enmi ramen! First time seeing a citrusy yuzu-based ramen on a menu, and it was yummmy! Our server Justin was also so warm and welcoming, subbing the broth out for a vegan one. And the atmosphere is so cozy and intimate, will be back the next time we're in Boston for sure!“

“Run don't walk to Pagu for absolutely scrumptious food that weaves together Japanese and Spanish Basques Cuisines! A must order is the Tuna Collar - I've never had anything like it - it's huge, great for a crowd, bone-suckingly good (literally have done that) served with rice and nori! Also make sure you don't miss Tracy Chang's homemade nonalcoholic sparking teas - my favorites are the genmaicha and the hojicha - again I've never tasted a drink like this anywhere else. And then you have to end the night with a Basque Cheesecake - I particularly love when Pagu makes a seasonal Matcha or Ube Basque cheesecake! Pagu's dishes and drinks are across the board innovative but also welcoming and absolutely delicious!“

The atmosphere is so friendly and feels like being fed yummy food by lovely Japanese family.

The Tempura is fresh and delicious! The presentation is also really beautiful and just like shown on the picture!

The lady was very nice to give us two bowls of miso soup since I was going to share a combo meal with my kid.

“The uni udon was one of my favorite meals in Boston! Noodles were chewy and the uni, crab and roe made it a decadent meal. Super pleased with the quality, taste and service. I came around 5 pm on a Sunday and did not have to wait. Recommended if you love seafood and udon!“

We had a reservation for a table but requested to sit at the sushi bar since the available tables were quite close to the door, which had no vestibule to buffer the cold air rushing in. The host graciously allowed us to tuck in at the sushi bar (there's a regular bar too and they seemed to be serving food there for those guests as well). My husband and I shared a fried softshell crab, which was helpfully cut into pieces that allowed easy eating with chopsticks, as well as pork gyoza. For dinner he had sushi and I had shrimp and vegetable tempura. Both came with miso soup, which was comforting on a cold night. The space is "cozy" with tables close together. I use walking sticks but had no trouble navigating the tight space; I'm not sure whether wheelchair users could do so, so ask when reserving if you have a wheelchair user in your party.“

The owners are a lovely and sweet immigrant family and they’ll pay lots of attention to you. The restaurant is very clean and the atmosphere is perfect.“

“We live in Winchester, and we have ordered takeout at Umi Sushi twice now. The sushi, the entire order has been extremely fresh, well-packaged, and just delicious. Arguably, one of the best I’ve had anywhere and *definitely*, the best omakase in Boston!

I really enjoyed the variety, the freshness was superb, all the chefs were very knowledgeable and provided curious facts; which both, complemented and expanded on the experience. Given the low price tag that this omakase comes with — the lowest in Boston — this really seems like an impossible experience; and yet it’s here!

I’ve only gone last week but I’m already eager to return.

“Love the food but their delivery is getting worse and worse. If you order before 5 p.m. it is nice if it can be delivered by 6:30 pm (especially if that is the window they promised). It's really fresh and there are a lot of varieties, except for the sea urchin, which is a bit fishy Octopus Carpaccio ⭐️ The seasoning is very refreshing and the octopus is very chewy, I love it Torched Japanese Scallop ⭐️ It was very light, I couldn't really taste the seasoning, but it was very tender Unagi Don ⭐️ A friend ordered this.
