“Really good food. The garlicky green beans were done so well. The duck was succulent and well seasoned.
Staff were attentive, but too quick to take plates away. They really seemed like they were pushing us out so they could wipe down the table and make space for next customers, and it wasn’t even that busy.“

“Cannot emphasize enough how great Mae Asian Eatery is! We recently stopped in for dinner and would definitely return. The food was fantastic -- a Chinese-Thai fusion that was really yummy. The service was also outstanding. It was super fast (especially impressive considering how busy it was), everyone was very kind, and we got to speak with the owner afterward who told us about the food (the secret to how yummy it is? His wife is the chef!) and the history behind the name. Just an all-around great experience and cool local business we were happy to visit.“

“Found this place on Google & Pinterest. So glad we gave it a try. The chicken corn soup was sweet and delicious, we had pork and cabbage dumplings, spring rolls, hot tea, fried rice and kimchi. It was all delicious. I don’t use chop sticks so they brought me a fork. Would highly recommend this place it was busy but we don’t have to wait long for a table and they had a steady line of to go orders going out as well.“

“Great food. I went with a friend, and we got the Best of Both Worlds setup with two broths, and ordered wagyu beef and lamb as our meats. It was delicious. They had a wide variety of veggies and other nice things to put into the pot. I highly recommend trying this place out if you have never been before.“

“Very homey, authentic food!
The house special tender beef is delicious! Great flavor and texture, and not too spicy. I also liked the woodear mushroom salad, and appreciated that it was more savory than sour.
The fish fillet with shrimp, tofu, and vegetables dish wasn't what I expected (I thought it would be braised, but it's a clear sauce) but it was very comforting and filling. The steamed eggs with clam and fish were good -- the egg was very soft -- but didn't have a lot of flavor on its own. The baby bok choy was nice and fresh.
Overall I liked the meat better than the seafood here, so I would probably try more meat dishes next time!“

“Changsho on Mass Ave offers consistently good Chinese food. It is a little pricier than some other options, but what really stands out is that I find it much less greasy than similar restaurants in the area, which makes it well worth the extra cost.“

“Don't be discouraged by random reviews you read, since I've been there 100+ times :) Hong Kong has been a Harvard Square go-to for the last 7 years (4 years at Harvard College and 3 so far at med school). The lunch and dinner combos are probably the best price-to-quality option you will find in Boston, with generous portions of vegetables and meat, and in my experience, consistently fresher ingredients relative to other cheaper Chinese restaurants. Servers are friendly and funny too. If you are a regular they treat you like family.
Not sure what the bar is like; I only go there for food.“

“We definitely enjoyed our meal! Pan seared pork bao and mala duck for appetizers. General Tso’s chicken and Grandma’s pork noodles for entrees. Good stuff! Kyle the bartender was awesome. We ate at the bar,“
