“Went to this restaurant after seeing it featured on Phantom Gourmet and my husband and myself left full of good food. The food was tasty and came to our table ready to eat and the service was great! They gave us everything we needed in a timely manner. The restaurant was on a smaller scale but we got a table pretty quickly without making a reservation. We even had the dessert of the strawberry shaved ice which had a bowl that was big enough to easily feed the two of us and it was very delicious!“

“I hadn't been to Sweet Basil in a while and my friend and I decided to give it a go. I had forgotten how beautiful the decor and ambiance was. We sat at the bar and were warmly greeted by the host as well as Caroline, our bartender. She made us two perfect martini's to the rim, and brought us out a complimentary dish from the chef which was fantastic (I think it was fried chickpea flour in the shape of a very think fry. They also brought us out complimentary bread and focaccia as well as home made pesto. We ordered the meatballs (the best I've ever had, and my wife is Sicilian). We then shared the Chicken Parm which had the most amazing chunky sauce packed with flavor along with homemade rigatoni! This by far was one of the best meals I've had in a while! Sweet Basil will now go in our rotation of weekly restaurants to visit.“

I took my brother here and said to him "taste theor chicken with vegetables. Its amazing isn't it" and he said yes it is . And he dines and all the fine resterants in the Washington dc area. It was nighttime, and my order was placed just one minute before closing time, with no problem on their part. My order included Chicken Lo Mein, Pepper Steak & Onion, and General Tso’s Tofu, all of which were served fresh, steaming hot, and with excellent taste.
