“We love getting their clam chowder and lobsters to go. Lobsters were hard shell, more cost than supermarket but the taste is so good and was able to buy larger sizes here. They can steam them for you even if you do not dine in. So worth it. Clam Chowder is so nice and thick with lots of clams and potatoes. I needed a large amount for a large group, you can get a bag which is equivalent to four quarts.“

“What an experience my wife and I had last night at Akame! Each piece of sushi had in-season Japanese fish, along with very inventive toppings, some of which were a surprise, but none detracted from the the fish, but added flavor and texture. Quite the experience! Enjoyed all of the sushi, with my favorites being the uni, the scallop and and the salmon. The A-5 wagyu and the fois gras courses were a surprise also and both were excellent. Rather than the accompanying sake course, my wife and I opted for 2 different 300ml Junmai Daiginjos. The only thing better than the meal was talking with Chef Mike and how he learned his trade and how he puts these courses together. Looking forward to coming back in a few months to have the seasonal winter Japanese fishes.“

“I have been going to Grassfields for many years and have been very pleased. The past few times I have been there I ordered the broiled scallops and have been disappointed. The muscle on the scallops are not removed which are very tough to eat. Also I feel they are gritty. I am hoping that someone reads this and corrects the issue because Grassfields is a lovely place.“

“I would like to express my gratitude to Blue Salt staff (with special thanks going to Igor) who made our special occasion so memorable! I needed to organize a nice dinner for 15 people for my son's birthday. The whole process was absolutely flawless - from initial contact with Igor who took care of all the planning and setup. When we arrived to the restaurant everything was ready and we were treated with utmost attention. The dinner was served family style and we had a chance to pick our menu selections to be shared. The portions were very generous, beautifully decorated and served, service was impeccable. The food was absolutely amazing! Everyone was beyond satisfied and happy. “We stopped in on the way home from the airport, and it was amazing! From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcomed. The atmosphere and food were awesome. I highly recommend the Mickey’s Chicken special and the red sangria which was a deep dark red- as sangria should be. Yum! My children loved our Irish waitress who Made them laugh and feel special. This restaurant is over an hour from where we live, but there is no doubt we will travel back often. Wonderful experience!“

“Went here for my birthday. Wasn't cheap, but I got what I paid for. They did have a price fixe menu available for $60, but I went a la carte. Steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the seafood (my meal featured shrimp, crab, and lobster) was all delicious as well. 10/10 would recommend strongly.

We didn't really need the reservations that we'd made, as the place was pretty quiet on a Thursday night. I can't speak for the weekends, though.“

“My wife Sylvia brought me back 2 large roast beef sandwiches from Mikey’s in Billerica to Adams Run South Carolina. As you can see Mikey himself packed them up beautifully and the handled the plane ride perfectly! My next post will let you know how they taste. Sylvia got a junior beef when she was there and said it was fantastic! So tender and flavorful.“

“Went to this restaurant after seeing it featured on Phantom Gourmet and my husband and myself left full of good food. The food was tasty and came to our table ready to eat and the service was great! They gave us everything we needed in a timely manner. The restaurant was on a smaller scale but we got a table pretty quickly without making a reservation. We even had the dessert of the strawberry shaved ice which had a bowl that was big enough to easily feed the two of us and it was very delicious!“

“Came earlier for the reservation and went to the bar to wait for my fiancé. The bartender had the worst scowl on his face and took 7 mins to just say hi. Another 5 to get my order and make it. It was a Tom Collin's. 30 second drink; took 15 minutes. And he didn't make my drink correctly I had to coach him and even my fiancé noticed it and she was like let's go to the table. Then they sat us next to family with screaming kids. And it was my birthday so I kind of wanted a nice steak house and I got a McDonald's feel. The server was kind and knowledgeable of the menu and the pricing was fair. Steak cooked well and the crab soup was delicious. Didn't get the oysters location but they could be better. But yeah good spot, but damn a hello goes along way especially when I came out for a celebration and don't get out much like this spending this kind of money. Manager barely said hi and seemed like she did it as a courtesy to check the table instead of actually caring. I didn't touch a couple food items and would be nice to see a manager notice. I told the server but apparently word doesn't get to where it needs too for change to happen. Probably won't come back, definitely not to that bar.“

Some favorites have been Magnolia wings with a sweet spicy sauce, crab rangoons, house beef roll (which is tender beef wrapped in a scallion pancake -- a must try!) and steamed spicy wontons in peanut sauce. It's a family-run restaurant, and the staff is giving it 110% every day.“

When our rehearsal ran faster than expected, they were incredibly accommodating and were able to seat our group early. We sat at the bar and were warmly greeted by the host as well as Caroline, our bartender. She made us two perfect martini's to the rim, and brought us out a complimentary dish from the chef which was fantastic (I think it was fried chickpea flour in the shape of a very think fry. They also brought us out complimentary bread and focaccia as well as home made pesto. We ordered the meatballs (the best I've ever had, and my wife is Sicilian). We then shared the Chicken Parm which had the most amazing chunky sauce packed with flavor along with homemade rigatoni! This by far was one of the best meals I've had in a while! Sweet Basil will now go in our rotation of weekly restaurants to visit.“
