“Excellent breakfast sandwiches!“

“Glazed Bytes Coffee is selling itself short by being tucked inside a tiny, painfully forgettable mall in Brookline. The coffee itself? Not forgettable at all.

We ordered two Cloud Foam Lattes (I think that was the name), and that foam was ridiculous in the best way possible. It sits somewhere between an absurdly fluffy marshmallow and canned whipped cream, except smoother, creamier, and somehow lighter at the same time. I genuinely have no idea how they made foam feel “luxurious”, but there we are.

The coffee underneath actually held its own too. Strong flavour, unique profile, not just another Instagram café trying to survive off aesthetics and oat milk. Properly good coffee.

Honestly, the mall needs them more than they need the mall. Places like this drive foot traffic way harder than another random clothing shop nobody remembers walking into. More food spots. More cafés. More reasons for people to actually stay there.

“Been here a couple times now and it's a necessary stop on the way to the library (where they have an in-house cafe too!). Drinks are delightful and fun and not too sweet. There really isn't any seating so it's mostly a take-out spot but the library has outdoor seating :)“

“We had our wedding cake designed and baked at Luna's Bakery and we HIGHLY recommend. They executed our vision beautifully and were a pleasure to work with. The cake was delivered on time and without any issue, the team is quick to respond, and our guests could not stop talking about the brigadeiro flavor. We had a three tier cake with a vintage design. Stop by Luna's Bakery to try all their delicious flavors and get a coffee while you're there. We can't wait for our first anniversary to have our top tier!!“

“Terrific atmosphere. Everything about the inside and the offerings, on paper, communicates a love of coffee and excellence. I will say, the pourover (both wave and v60) tastes bad. I'm can't tell if it's the roast or the brew settings/technique, but it would be a good idea to for the head roaster and head barista to dial in their settings. There are clear markers of specialty coffee in the cup, but the bitterness and grassy-ness are overwhelming and manifest as faults.“

“This has amazing hot chocolate. Worth trekking too on an 80 degree humid day. The hot chocolate is creamy, smooth, rich, and sweet. The gentlemen who made mine was very kind and friendly, possibly the owner? A few more people behind me ended up asking for hot chocolate as well. I highly recommend this place, which also has a great food selection as well!

“So I went in there to heavenly this morning to pick up a couple of sandwiches. I left a review a few weeks ago about egg shells in my sandwich. I went in there this morning and by surprise I ended up getting a gift card for my review that I left about the sandwiches, I just want to say it’s very nice of them to give me a gift card to make up for the sandwiches. “I've been going to Ovenbird for over a year now. The staff are always kind and the food and drinks are always delicious! I would especially recommend the strawberry rhubarb hand pies. Also, if you're visiting the Acton Farmers' Market, be sure to check if Ovenbird is there that day.“

“My coffee was really good (I ordered a cappuccino). The other real star is the sitting area. Comfy soft rocking chairs around a (gas) fire with big glass windows all around. Staff was also super friendly. The food was ok. Pastries mostly made elsewhere. I didn’t try a sandwich. I was here in April 2026, they’d been open 7 months. This is my new go to place when I’m waiting for Direct Tire to finish my car.“

“As far as banh mi go, this one is a solid four stars. I went with the BBQ pork and asked for no aioli. The bread was perfectly crusty, the pickled vegetables tasted great and were cut well, as were the fresh jalapeños. I liked the flavor and smokiness on the BBQ pork, but I wish the temperature on it had been anything above room temperature. There were also a couple of overly fatty pieces that should have been trimmed.

The service and atmosphere leave a bit to be desired. The restaurant, at least when I visited, was quite messy. I understand that the sandwiches generate a lot of crumbs, but I think it would help a lot to more regularly wipe down the tables and chairs. I had to wipe off my table and chair when I entered, as did another party I saw come in after me.

I'm also not a huge fan of the QR code ordering system. For such a small place, it feels quite impersonal. Lastly, the cans of soda come out warm. They do provide a cup with a small amount ice, but the cup really ought to be full of ice in order to properly cool down the warm can. In my case, all of the ice was melted as soon as I poured in half a can. Warm soda is just not pleasant.

I think I would order take out next time to avoid the issues they have with dining in. I did very much enjoy the banh mi, but the service issues were a bit perplexing.“

“Taking off 1 star for a super rude cashier - who is beautiful brunette maybe Brazilian or something, she looks more like she can be an Instagram model but sadly her physical beauty does not match the inside - super rude, looks like she hates her job so it’s sad she is even employed there. She needs to find another job.

The food is good, it’s not wow but pretty good. Coffee is good. Cute inside and nice music. WiFi. Overall a nice place with great deserts options. It’s more a desert and coffee place.“

“Really fast service. I ordered a peach cream matcha and it was really good. A lot of variety in drinks, a lot more than Gongcha's, and I personally prefer these flavors as well. The boba itself was really good, consistently sweet and chewy. Goncha and Kung Fu Tea are similarly priced, so it's up to you on which flavor or boba floats your boat, however I would choose Kung Fu Tea over Gongcha any day.“

“Come here for some coffee and a pastry. It’s hot out so I got an iced maple latte, was delicious and just perfectly sweet enough without being overly sugary. I also had a cardamom swirl that I inhaled before I took a picture of, it was very clearly baked in house. So flakey and soft. I got a strawberry jam bun to go and ate it later. Also amazing. “Just finished eating a plain bagel with jalapeño cream cheese here I almost didn't go because I know their bagels are best when they're fresh and it's getting close to two in the afternoon, but there's a spot out front so I figured I'd try anyway, and just my luck they had a fresh batch of plain bagels that just finished cooking. We stopped by just in passing, on our way to visit a university — and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be!

The ice cream was delicious, with just the right balance of flavor — not overly sweet like many others. It was refreshing and satisfying.

What truly made the experience special was Mónica’s service. She was empathetic, kind, and patient — qualities that are becoming rare these days and that we deeply appreciated.
