Very friendly staff. Clean atmosphere. Will definitely be back if I come back to Boston. Very small inside with only a couple tables so be mindful of party size if trying to sit. The to go boxes for the sandwiches were very convenient though!“

“An absolutely fantastic dining experience at Giulia. This is the kind of place that reminds you why great Italian restaurants are so special—thoughtful dishes, incredible flavors, and an atmosphere that feels both intimate and memorable.

Every dish we had was outstanding. The seafood pasta special with seabass and calamari was exceptional—perfectly prepared and packed with flavor. The squash appetizer was another highlight and set the tone for a meal where every course felt carefully crafted and unique. From start to finish, the food was creative, balanced, and simply delicious.

The service matched the quality of the food—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling rushed. It’s exactly the kind of experience you hope for when dining at a private Italian restaurant where the focus is clearly on great food and great hospitality.

“We had an incredible experience at Grill 23 & Bar — easily the best steakhouse we’ve been to in Boston. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The food was phenomenal. We ordered both the filet mignon and the ribeye, and each steak was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and truly outstanding. The sides were just as memorable — the macaroni and cheese was rich and comforting, the Brussels sprouts were perfectly prepared, and the mashed potatoes were smooth and delicious. Adding the Béarnaise sauce on the side was absolutely worth it and paired beautifully with the steaks. Dessert was the perfect ending: warm chocolate chip cookies served with vanilla ice cream — simple, classic, and done flawlessly. A huge highlight of the evening was our waiter, Bernardo. We will absolutely be requesting him on future visits. He offered thoughtful suggestions, anticipated our needs effortlessly, and somehow managed to be there exactly when we needed him — and never when we didn’t, if that makes sense. “Incredibly thoughtful, knowledgeable, and attentive staff. Every dish was absolutely delicious, highly recommend the scotch egg and the duck if you go in March. Cocktails were great as well. The atmosphere was cozy and upscale without being stuffy. They were also very kind and accommodating around my wife's rare food allergy. Just an amazing meal and experience all around.

I was anticipating an amazing wagyu beef burger given the $35 price tag, but it was very ordinary and forgettable. It was cooked well-done even though I asked for medium-well, and it had absolutely no flavor, not even a hint of salt and pepper. The fries were dry and not very good either. But the corn bread was absolutely delightful and probably some of the best I’ve ever had, and the pita bread with hummus and pimento cheese was delicious, as well. Overall, about 4 stars considering the appetizers saved the day, as the wagyu burger was a flop.“

Our server, Amanda, was wonderful friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. It’s service like hers that really adds to the experience. Jose, the owner, has truly outdone himself with this place. You can tell he takes great pride in what he’s built from the quality of the dishes to the amazing team that brings it all together. We’ll definitely be back again before the new location opens, and we’re looking forward to visiting that one as well.
