Pricing is more on middle-high-end, so a group can easily rack up a bill of 150 to 200 dollars depending on what you select. There are reasonable amount of alcoholic choices. Dessert wise is limited. Food quality is passable, as the thin slices of meat are on the dry side, so if you have a hard time with dry over cook food, you may need sauce or condiments to compensate. One my group members commented the food taste sweet, so to be fair, Asian foods that use teriyaki sauce in their ingredients will taste sweeter than the usual Japanese and Chinese cuisine. I would like to try sushi but it usually expensive here compared to a strictly sushi restaurant. Overall this one the better quality restaurants I've been to around the Greater Boston Area.“

“The tortas and the burritos from Chilacates are our favorite! We also ask for the salsa verde and roja which pair deliciously. We always make an effort to stop by when we are in the area. For a sweet treat we also like their tres leches cake.“

“Sweetgreen is a national chain of healthy salad bowls, where you can either choose a premade salad bowl or make your own. They offer online ordering or ordering in person, but we tend to opt to order online.

The meal is reasonably priced for the portions you get, and it's what you'd expect from a salad. We always build our own, and the combos work well together and the dressing is tasty and goes well with the salad. Overall, its a decent place to pickup a salad bowl in the area.“

At this point, I’m convinced they should start charging me rent.

Jade is the absolute best. She’s one of those people who can somehow make your day better just by being herself. Whether it’s recommending a wine I’d never think to order, talking me through the menu when decision fatigue has completely taken over, or making an absolutely perfect French 75, she somehow always knows exactly what I need. She has this effortless way of making everyone at the bar feel like a regular, and you can tell she genuinely cares about the people who walk through the door. She’s one of the biggest reasons I keep coming back.

And then there is Ty. Some of my favorite visits turn into conversations with him. We can talk about just about anything, and somehow he always has the perfect mix of humor, perspective, and genuine interest. It’s never just small talk. It’s the kind of conversation that makes you forget you walked in exhausted after work, and before you know it, your whole day is better.

Chris is always quick to say hi when he sees me, which is one of those little things that makes you feel welcome before you’ve even sat down.

Ann rounds out my dream team behind the bar. Between Ann, Jade, and Ty, I’ve discovered wines I never would’ve ordered on my own, had more laughs than I can count, and have never once felt like just another customer. Whether I stop in early or after a long day at work, they always make me feel like I’m exactly where I should be.

Jilllllll and Angela are always happy to commiserate with me about whatever kind of day I’ve had. And in the interest of full disclosure… while I was literally writing this review, one of them popped up behind me and scared the life out of me. I couldn’t have planned that timing if I tried.

Now let’s talk about the food.

I’ve honestly never had a bad meal here. Every single thing I’ve ordered has been outstanding, but if I had to pick a favorite, the beef cheek is absolutely unreal. Every plate arrives with a refined flair that somehow manages to feel elevated without ever feeling pretentious. It’s comfort food that decided to put on a tailored suit.

The Salty Pig has become more than a restaurant for me. It’s where I unwind after work, where decision fatigue magically disappears because someone always has the perfect recommendation, where I’ve learned to appreciate great wine, and where I know I’ll leave happier than I arrived.

To Jade, Ann, Ty, Chris, Jilllllll, Angela, and everyone else at The Salty Pig: thank you for making an incredible restaurant feel like home away from home. You all are the secret ingredient!!!!“

“not a single dish disappointed!! the gnocchi was definitely the highlight of the day - it was so tender and blended really well with the veggies. we liked the sweetness in the crispy pork ribs, and the asparagus was great too. would also recommend the cocktail with the gochujang element in it — the spicy aftertaste was super special! everything was amazing, would definitely come back again :)“

“Huge selection of vegan breakfast, lunch, and dinner foods. Came with a large group and we had a feast. They have a vegan Reuben sandwich that was pretty decent. Their clam chowder was not as rich as I had hoped it would be—kinda thin and watery—but their pancakes were huge and delicious. Definitely would come again!“

“I came to the Hummus Shop for a quick lunch before heading to a flight.

It’s a fairy hidden place, but there’s a sign on the street — you just have to go down the hallway. It’s a cozy spot with limited seating.

It was my first time here and the person working at the front was very helpful in ordering and walking me through the menu. They have a few main options based on their proteins. I got a pita with the eggplant. It was great!!! They were very flexible in making this vegan by replacing the egg with a couple of falafels.

Great food to go and it was delicious as well, the sauces were especially good. It was messy to eat but that’s what makes it fun!

Would definitely recommend, I hope to be back to try the vegan “chicken” as well.“

Craziest thing of it all is the pricing. Four slices, arancini, and a drink for $16.00? How? In today’s economy how are they keeping the price this low? Also amazing. Just go. Don’t think about it, don’t pass go, don’t collect $200…go get your dang perfect slice.“

“We had an incredible experience at Grill 23 & Bar — easily the best steakhouse we’ve been to in Boston. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. The food was phenomenal. We ordered both the filet mignon and the ribeye, and each steak was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and truly outstanding. The sides were just as memorable — the macaroni and cheese was rich and comforting, the Brussels sprouts were perfectly prepared, and the mashed potatoes were smooth and delicious. Adding the Béarnaise sauce on the side was absolutely worth it and paired beautifully with the steaks. Dessert was the perfect ending: warm chocolate chip cookies served with vanilla ice cream — simple, classic, and done flawlessly. A huge highlight of the evening was our waiter, Bernardo. We will absolutely be requesting him on future visits. He offered thoughtful suggestions, anticipated our needs effortlessly, and somehow managed to be there exactly when we needed him — and never when we didn’t, if that makes sense. I was anticipating an amazing wagyu beef burger given the $35 price tag, but it was very ordinary and forgettable. It was cooked well-done even though I asked for medium-well, and it had absolutely no flavor, not even a hint of salt and pepper. The fries were dry and not very good either. But the corn bread was absolutely delightful and probably some of the best I’ve ever had, and the pita bread with hummus and pimento cheese was delicious, as well. Overall, about 4 stars considering the appetizers saved the day, as the wagyu burger was a flop.“

A must order is the Tuna Collar - I've never had anything like it - it's huge, great for a crowd, bone-suckingly good (literally have done that) served with rice and nori! Also make sure you don't miss Tracy Chang's homemade nonalcoholic sparking teas - my favorites are the genmaicha and the hojicha - again I've never tasted a drink like this anywhere else. And then you have to end the night with a Basque Cheesecake - I particularly love when Pagu makes a seasonal Matcha or Ube Basque cheesecake! Pagu's dishes and drinks are across the board innovative but also welcoming and absolutely delicious!“
