“Do not miss this spot if you are visiting Salem. We had treats from our Air B&B which caused us to go in person. Everything was lovely, delicious and fresh. Customer service was fantastic. We had croissants, a bagel sandwich, fresh bread, the most amazing cookies and, my favorite, the spinach and leek puff with everything seasoning. The coffee was great too. Thanks so much!“

“Their coffee absolutely lives up to the hype. In fact, I thought it surpassed it. I also had the Adobo Chicken sandwich, and holy hell, let me tell you... It’s stacked with tender, seasoned chicken, creamy black bean spread, melted cheese, buttery slices of avocado, and a bold adobo aioli that ties it all together with a smoky, tangy kick. Every bite hits you with warmth, richness, and just enough spice to make you pause and appreciate what sandwich greatness tastes like. The owner is welcoming, friendly, and makes great recommendations. They found a new regular.“

“We had such a great time at Finz! The food was excellent all around. My gluten-free bun fell apart a bit on my burger, but honestly the burger itself was cooked perfectly the way I asked. The crab nachos were amazing (definitely a must-try) and the shrimp and fish tacos came out with super generous portions. The waterfront setting made it even better with the view really adding to the experience. Fun, lively spot to hang out, eat, and enjoy the harbor views!“

“This place is such a treat. We stopped in on a whim after much deliberation about what to eat in Salem, and we’re so happy we did. The owner, Ray, acquired Adea’s a few years back and the addition of Jamaican menu items to the mediterranean offerings really is the highlight, in my opinion. My boyfriend got the Jerk Chicken plate and I got Escoveitch fish. Both dishes were incredible, and you can obviously tell the passion and appreciation Chef Ray has for his food. It was all so good: Crispy fish skin, peas and rice, and delicious house-made jerk sauce that blew us away. Places like this are few and far between, so do yourself a favor and sit down in this place!“

“Food was prompt, delicious, and most importantly not hard on the bank! The wait staff are friendly and it’s my partner’s and I’s favorite food place in Shelby! I get the wings or Alfredo and he gets their meat calzone or Stuffed shells! (I recommend trying both✨)“

“this bar with the arcade is cool. I like the vintage games a lot. however, these bartenders suck. they don't know how to serve multiple people at a time. there's two events going on tonight so busy. I waited about five to ten minutes for literally just a today refill. and yes two people walked past as I flagged them down.“

“Friendly staff, never have to wait too long. They need to find a system to wiping down their tables frequently though. I’ve never been at a table with o it being sticky or crumby. Even when they open first thing in the morning… other than the place is solid“

“Really good local seafood.
The spicy crab cake was delicious, as was the New England Clam Chowder, the Fried Calamari, and Mussels cooked with wine & herbs.
The Lobster Shanty serves beer, ciders, and alcohol from local taprooms & distilleries like Notch, Downeast, Far From the Tree, and Deacon Giles.“

“Came during a ladies trip in August. On our first day, we stopped by for lunch and drinks. The food was fresh and tasty. The drinks were cold and were made perfectly by the bartender. (espresso martinis were 💯) The next morning we tried their breakfast and it also did not disappoint. We sat outside both days, but the inside is beautiful and has murals on the walls. Staff were attentive and polite, I Highly recommend!“

“In the mall this was a nice find that wasn’t too much of a wait during the October season.
The staff were friendly and the food was solidly delicious for the items we ordered. The main dishes started around $20 a plate and Thai beer was $9, thrown in an appetizer and your starting cost per person is about 30-40. This seemed typical for the area to sit down during a very tourist gathering time. (They did have lunch specials)
Inside was a touch warm but over all clean and welcoming.
Vegetarian options: Was able to easily substitute tofu for the chicken. It was yummy, not just bland chunks put in to replace meat.
Parking: During October weekend the roads are taken by over by people so plan on parking away and walking in.“

“5 Stars – Best Indian Food in the Boston Area!
We visited Passage to India in Salem for lunch and had an incredible experience. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Korma, both part of the lunch special, which made the meal very reasonably priced. Each dish came with rice and everything was delivered promptly and piping hot.
The food was absolutely delicious—flavorful, perfectly spiced, and beautifully presented. The garlic naan deserves a special mention: it had generous chunks of fresh garlic and just the right amount of cilantro, creating the perfect bite. It paired beautifully with the sauces and truly elevated the whole meal.
Service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The traditional Indian decor really stood out—especially the beautiful gold-toned (yet rustic) bowls and cups. A charming touch that even the kids loved!
The location in Salem is perfect, and we will absolutely be going back. This was hands-down the best Indian food I’ve had in the Greater Boston area.“

“Kokeshi is in residency with Bambolina (a wood-fired pizza joint, also delicious) and it's perfect! My husband and I (and our puppy, Dexter) stopped in for lunch on Wednesday and were treated to a wonderful meal with an awesome server and comfortable outdoor seating. I had the Spicy White Kimchi Ramen and my husband had the Margherita pizza. Both were amazing! I highly recommend stopping in when in Salem!“
