There was a distinct lamb smell in the air because...lamb is really their specialty! We tried a few things.. beef and lamb, and by far the lamb was better. The noodles were the highlight, great texture and unlimited length! My comment makes it kind of funny that the noodles were harder to eat in my stir fry because it was one big noodle. Funny problem to have. Anyways I'll be back to try more stuff!“

“We had a great experience at Clay Pot Cafe ! Everything we ordered really hit the spot.
The curry fish balls were flavorful and had just the right amount of spice definitely a must order. The chicken sausage clay pot was delicious, with perfectly cooked rice and rich, savory flavors that really brought the dish together.
The fish congee was a huge hit with the kids they absolutely loved it! It was comforting, fresh, and full of flavor.

They were very accommodating and patient with my nana in a wheelchair ♿️ (Even when we came through the wrong entrance for that, when the rear has handicap access and parking). Only issue with the place and believe me you'll learned to ignore them because of how good the food is, sometimes when they say 20 minutes for pick up its more like 45 minutes but that's fine. Their prices seem to be on par with other Chinese food places in the area, in my opinion all Chinese food is over priced but hey can't fault them for wanting to make money. Their food is well worth the price. we spend about $65 every time we go. It's enough food to make 2 adults uncomfortably full with enough left overs to do it again the next day. It's just as good reheated.“

“This is one of my top restaurants during my trip to Boston. Their teas were so refreshing and come with a clay pot on top. As for the toast, it had a golden crispy outside with a gooey condensed milk custard inside. 10/10. The meals were large and filling, and this was the juciest chicken leg.“

I loved the selection of moon cakes on offer, but the star of the show were the egg tarts, which were by far the most delicate and buttery ones I've ever tasted. “This place actually hits the spot. I really recommend crispy pork ribs with garlic sauce. That’s absolutely delicious. The hot and sour is a little too spicy for me but you can ask them to make it a little less next time. It was kinda random because we were just walking around Chinatown and walked past this restaurant. The Empress Chicken is a little too salty for me if I just ate it by itself. Recommend to eat it with white rice. Staff is pretty nice and helpful. The price is really good in this economy. Definitely come back and try other food🤩“

Of course where am I going to park. That seems to be a topic of interest around here. A small walk away there’s a nearby park I thought we could end up. But fortunately for us, we found free 2 hour curb parking w/ a 5 min walk away. It just got better from there. Nice lil place with windows facing the T train thingy running back and forth which we thought was pretty cool. Greeted right way no waiting. I guess to go orders is what every body does around here cause the phone was busy the dining area was not. They bring “Complementary” hot tea to our table? I hadn’t seen that in many years! Great lunch menu so affordable and the portions?! My goodness. I’m thinking we aren’t bringing it on the plane so eat all that you can!“

“I know every Chinese restaurant was mobbed yesterday on NYE 12/31/25. On Tuesday 1/30 I placed a phone ordered with Hong Kong Cafe II in Peabody for a 530 pm pickup on NYE. I got there early and the place was mobbed. They called out peoples names as orders where ready. After 30-40 mins of waiting, we determined my phone order was lost, so they took my order on the spot, and prepared it, which was ready in about 10 mins. The food was piping hot and absolutely delicious when I got home. I called the restaurant to compliment them today 1/1/26.“
