“I got General Tso’s chicken from here, and it’s easily the best I’ve ever had!

When I walked in, I was greeted very warmly by an employee, which is already a big plus. The place is super nice, bright and kind of bougie. It looked very clean overall. It was also really busy during dinner time.

I ordered delivery and when the driver got here, he immediately asked for a tip, before trying to give me my foodm first of all that is BEYOND RUDE. You dont know if I tipped on card or if I did have cash for you, but just EXPECTING it. No you dont get a tip in my eyes, that is not OK. If you're delivering and all you are expecting is a tip every time, I feel bad because not everyone tips.“

“BEST CHINESE FOOD WITHIN 50 MILES. 5 stars without a doubt. The food is always amazing. Ask for extra duck sauce.
Only issue with the place and believe me you'll learned to ignore them because of how good the food is, sometimes when they say 20 minutes for pick up its more like 45 minutes but that's fine. Their prices seem to be on par with other Chinese food places in the area, in my opinion all Chinese food is over priced but hey can't fault them for wanting to make money. Their food is well worth the price. we spend about $65 every time we go. It's enough food to make 2 adults uncomfortably full with enough left overs to do it again the next day. It's just as good reheated.“

“I know every Chinese restaurant was mobbed yesterday on NYE 12/31/25. On Tuesday 1/30 I placed a phone ordered with Hong Kong Cafe II in Peabody for a 530 pm pickup on NYE. I got there early and the place was mobbed. They called out peoples names as orders where ready. After 30-40 mins of waiting, we determined my phone order was lost, so they took my order on the spot, and prepared it, which was ready in about 10 mins. The food was piping hot and absolutely delicious when I got home. I called the restaurant to compliment them today 1/1/26.“

I loved the selection of moon cakes on offer, but the star of the show were the egg tarts, which were by far the most delicate and buttery ones I've ever tasted. Best Chinese food I’ve tasted in lynn. Chicken wings are in some type of breading not like the other places were you can see the hairs on the chicken.I’ve been loyal and stick to this spot as I’ve tried others and food doesn’t compare . “This place actually hits the spot. I really recommend crispy pork ribs with garlic sauce. That’s absolutely delicious. The hot and sour is a little too spicy for me but you can ask them to make it a little less next time. It was kinda random because we were just walking around Chinatown and walked past this restaurant. The Empress Chicken is a little too salty for me if I just ate it by itself. Recommend to eat it with white rice. Staff is pretty nice and helpful. The price is really good in this economy. Definitely come back and try other food🤩“

“It’s exactly as you expect. Quick, flavorful & at a good price in a hole in the wall environment. Recommend the tomato based broth with sirloin. The bbq tripe skewer was great in flavor & crunchy texture. The bbq sausage felt like it was missing a flavor (maybe ginger or just cooking it longer to char/carmelize?) to complete it. The wife also says the tofu skin is wonderful.“

Online it said it was only $41 but when I got there it was $51, she let me pay the $44 I had and told me come back tomorrow to pay the rest, which I will. I appreciate that gesture, the customer service was nice! The atmosphere was not great AT ALL. I’m not sure if they were re doing the restaurant but there was only one table and a few chairs put around the restaurant, it was pretty full of people and I had no space to be in there comfortably, on a hot day, this was not what I was hoping for! “A true East Boston gem. When you order from this place, you are getting that affordable, classic American-Chinese food to perfection (it took me right back to my childhood). I also love that there is no delivery app. It was weird after only using delivery apps for the past 5-10 years, but it's worth it to know that the restaurant is employing a driver full-time and all of the money is going to their operation instead of to some soulless mega corporation. “Came here for lunch one day during the week after walking by. It looked like your typical Chinese food take out restaurant. They had really good lunch combo choices. For around $8.00 I received a good portion of beef with broccoli and pork fried rice. I added an egg roll and a soda for not much more. I was pleased with everything except for the older gentleman’s people skills. When ordering, he seemed to cut me off instead of letting me say everything I needed. I was annoyed to the point I was about to tell him never mind but I took a chance with him and glad I did. I will be back soon!
