“I have been going to Grassfields for many years and have been very pleased. The past few times I have been there I ordered the broiled scallops and have been disappointed. The muscle on the scallops are not removed which are very tough to eat. Also I feel they are gritty. I am hoping that someone reads this and corrects the issue because Grassfields is a lovely place.“

“Went to this restaurant after seeing it featured on Phantom Gourmet and my husband and myself left full of good food. The food was tasty and came to our table ready to eat and the service was great! They gave us everything we needed in a timely manner. The restaurant was on a smaller scale but we got a table pretty quickly without making a reservation. We even had the dessert of the strawberry shaved ice which had a bowl that was big enough to easily feed the two of us and it was very delicious!“

“Our kids have been going to The Chateau for years and we really enjoyed this visit even though the kids are now 13 and 18. We go there mainly for the atmosphere and the bread. The service is friendly and the food is good enough. It's just nice to eat out in a nice family restaurant where you can get a nice booth and there are no stupid kiosks or QR code menus.“

“Had an absolute feast here for a good price. This food is perfect for a Friday night after a hard week. It’s filling and flavorful. The soup dumplings were a highlight along with the scallion beef rolls.

“Best Chinese I’ve ordered since moving to Waltham! Everything is super flavorful and portions are big- I had enough for 3 meals. It was ready within 15 minutes of order and tasted fresh. Counter service super friendly too, they made sure to wait until I was there to give me my drink from the fridge so it stayed cold which I thought was nice. Second time ordering here and both times were great!“

“Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Eddie V's. The food was delicious. I ordered the Filet Mignon and Truffle mashed potatoes. The meat melted in my mouth. It was cooked exactly as I ordered it. Have driven by hundreds of times......not sure what I was thinking....it took figuring out that you can't get Alaskan King crab legs at Legal Seafoods to force me to try this place out. Took an order to go. A+ yes messy....very messy the middle Hot sauce was excellent and everywhere. Good fun. Shared as an appetizer and we all agree Good stuff. They have "All you can Eat" on Sat and Sun I believe for $30 so a great deal. We will try again. Tiny place maybe 10-12 tables so use OpenTable. I tried Boston they did not have anything for 3-4 days at 7pm. Also had a Brookline reservation. There are ~24 locations in 8-10 states.“

“The cajun fries (medium spicy) were amazing. Shrimp and lobster were fresh and tasty too. Do note that they don’t come with any sides so you gotta order your corn on the cob and potatoes as extras (which were also tasty after being marinated in the Cajun sauce).

The staffs were all nice and attentive. It would be better if the soda wasn’t flat. Would also be better if a bucket could be offered at the table for the shells, so that the sauce doesn’t float everywhere.“

“We greatly enjoyed both our recent dinners at Puritan Oyster Bar. We arrived in time to take advantage of the half price oysters served 5-6 and then stayed for dinner. The oysters were the best quality and served beautifully. In fact all the food is presented well. I loved the cod in lobster sauce and my son loved the yellow tail tacos. A special green crab appetizer was delicious and served creatively in a large shell. Our server/bartender Kyle clearly cares about making the experience enjoyable and memorable for all the guests. He noticed that I wasn’t drinking my cocktail and he asked me about my preferences and then created a drink for me that I loved!“

Olivia, our server, was the best- she managed to balance giving us space with checking in just the right amount, and her thoughtful, funny demeanor truly made our visit even more great. Also, the gentleman at the door (I unfortunately didn't catch his name) was wonderful. He offered me many options for seating while the restaurant was quite full, but shortly afterwards he offered a better spot with a fantastic view when it became available. “I love StockYard. We haven't been in a long time as we moved faraway. Now, after 10 years we came back and it was like we never stopped coming to eat here. The food was super delicious. The NY Sirloin, and the tenderness of the Fille Minog was extraordinary. Outstanding customer service. The drinks were superb. “Hands down THE MOST creative omakase I've ever been to. The chef literally takes imported fresh, authentic fish from Japan and pushes the boundaries with them in unthinkable yet genius ways.

Every piece he delivers is a masterpiece. He brilliantly hits different ratios of sweet/savory and intentionally incorporates variety in texture in literally everything he serves up. This man can COOK.

I would like to add that I have never been a fan of uni, but the chef changed my mind on that real quick. That's crazy. It was actually one of my favorite pieces from the whole set.

I would also like to add that one of the courses was a plate of multiple slices of perfectly cooked, geniusly assembled wagyu. That blew my mind. It was the best form of wagyu I've ever had, and I was so glad we got a small plate of it instead of one slice. Each piece assimilated into my tongue and gave me a sample of heaven. Praise the Lord for that.

The meal tastefully ended with two dessert courses. Bravo. I love dessert. Both of them went NUTS. Both were the best desserts I've ever had at any omakase, but I personally loved the second to last the most. Think of like a rice crispy, but give it an Asian twist, then level it up and evolve it all the way like your favorite Pokémon. Seriously, I wish I had an elf in my brain taking notes on each dish for me because they were so unique that I couldn't even comprehend how to describe the flavors more concretely right now.

The establishment was clean, simple, yet very homey —like if you had an uncle who turned his kitchen into an omakase joint. The chef was so very kind and sweet. He was great at making conversation and making you feel seen on a more personal level, which is way more than I can say for most places. Mind you, although it was a 6 seater, he was still a one man team —and he executed everything perfectly in a timely manner amidst the friendly convo. Just impressive. A gem among gems and a MUST try. Please, somebody just give this man some Michelin stars already.“

“Casual Szechuan noodle bar that offers comforting flavors.

Szechuan cuisine has always been popular, but the competition in Allston has really been heating up lately. While MH holds the popularity crown by a wide margin, spots like Little Tao often get overshadowed. I've dropped by Little Tao a few times for lunch, and for a place that proudly advertises zero MSG, the flavors were bold.

Little Tao’s signature dishes are undoubtedly their Szechuan noodles, like the Chengdu noodles and Twice Cooked Pork noodles. Each bowl comes bathed in rich chili oil, with savory meat toppings adding that salty/umami punch. Despite the generous pour of chili oil, the spice level is actually pretty manageable. My only gripe? The noodles weren’t fully drained, which thinned out the flavors a bit.

From their regular Szechuan menu, I’ve tried the Mapo Tofu, Pickled Fish Fillet, and Braised Beer Duck. The first two were solid—not the best I’ve had around here, but still good. The Braised Beer Duck, though, was a different story; it was more of a chore than a meal. They serve it chopped bone-in, with barely any meat on the pieces, so I was pretty much left with picking around more bones than bites.

Overall, ia great spot to swing by for some straightforward, comforting Szechuan noodles. While I haven’t fully explored the rest of their menu, I’d suggest sticking with the noodles.“
