My favorite spot for seafood in Worcester, aside from this level of quality would be to visit the fish shacks in Maine. Highly recommended.“

“We’ve lived in Worcester for almost 5 years and have tried so many restaurants. Green Island Oyster is now our favorite by far. Everything we ordered was phenomenal. The oysters were fresh and delicious, crab cakes were cooked to perfection, the green curry crab lettuce wraps were light, had just the right amount of spice and were unique, the crab Rangoon flatbread was perfect and they had the best fish and chips we’ve ever had. Service was great too. We will be recommending this place to all our friends and will definitely be back!“

“Thanks to Live To Eat Food for the reminder to visit Nuovo Restaurant in Worcester. I hadn’t been back since around the time they opened—10+ years ago—& let me say, they did not disappoint. We arrived around 6 PM, & the place was buzzing with at least three Christmas parties going on, so we grabbed seats at the bar. We started with some excellent martinis, then moved on to appetizers (after the bread, of course). We had the fig–mascarpone stuffed phyllo dough & the best chicken lemon orzo soup—truly unmatched anywhere else in the city. For entrées, he had the lobster pappardelle special, & I went with pasta in vodka sauce with meatballs. We were completely stuffed but still couldn’t resist ordering the blueberry-crumble cheesecake to go. Despite how busy they were, the service was great, & everything we had was spot-on.“

You didn’t need lobster in the bite to be able to taste the deliciously buttered lobster and the creamy consistency was amazing. Nothing compared to the steak though, I’m embarrassed to say that I genuinely shed a tear after my first bite of that steak. I don’t want to eat steak ever again unless it is here. Also, we had Lorraine and she was a wonderful server. I’m not used to fancy places but she made me feel very welcomed and it was lovely learning the history of how they get their steak so delicious from her.“

We feel that this a basic menu item and will now look for other places to get them. If needed raise prices on a popular item like the 'club' sandwich, but should be left on the menu.“

“I recently visited family in Massachusetts and met with friends at Barber's Crossing in Sterling. I am 73 years old and have eaten out in many places. Over the last couple of years anyone that you speak with will tell you that the prices have gone UP, and the quality and Portion sizes have gone DOWN. THAT WAS NOT TRUE AT BARBER'S CROSSING DURING MY VISIT. I had to call my daughter and tell her what a wonderful meal I had. Every bite was just as flavorful and tasteful as the first. Even the mashed potatoes tasted fresh and homemade. Whenever I return to Mass for a visit. I will be sure to stop and eat there again. It was the best meal that I have had at a restaurant in years! We came here because this restaurant won the Taste of Shrewsbury. And pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was.
You don’t have to go to Mardi-grass for shrimp and grits. Here they have creamy buttery stone-ground grits and perfectly seasoned shrimp with subtle flavors that made me want to stop right there but I had ordered pulled pork Benedict too.
Poached eggs cooked to perfection and what makes it better? Add slow braised pulled pork and apple slaw. Delicious.
And if white table linen is not your thing you can sit outside on the patio which has ample seating and watch the magnificent 30 foot cast iron water fall with its own story behind it.“
