“Love the vibe here! It’s a perfect place to hang in the mid-late afternoon and have a glass of wine before dinner. The staff is incredibly helpful to help you choose the right wine for you (and always give you a generous pour). I adore all of their flower arrangements on the communal table - unique, artsy, and just gorgeous. I also support the 23% service fee upfront, as 1 - it’s worth it and 2 - I prefer not to deal with bills or payments later on (which would be disruptive to the flow of the hangout).“

“Staff were so kind! I got the lobster Mac n cheese and it was worth eating as soon as it came out, I would burn my tongue just to have another bite. The dining is fancy but comfortable, my food came out fairly quick. It was definitely the nicest restaurant I’ve ever been too, I was a bit anxious but that’s just me. I would recommend this place for dinner, if you want a nice night out then this is a place for you! “Went on a Friday afternoon for lunch. Wasn't expecting it to be so crowded. Waited about 15 minutes for a table which wasn't bad. Service and food were amazing. My mom and I both had the lobster bisque and it was outstanding. She had the crab cake as her entree and I had the cedar plank roasted salmon with green beans and roasted potatoes. They were out of this world. I have never fully finished a piece of salmon anywhere like I did there. The food also comes out super hot which was a plus. If you ever go ask for Kya, she was our server and was great! Highly recommend this place to anyone in chestnut hill.“

Pillowy soft. Slightly sweet with a light dusting of salt on top. Butter was creamy and tasty too. 4/5

Potato pave
Like a giant French fry. Crispy outside nice and soft on inside. Topped with cavier and shallots which added a nice saltiness and savory flavor combo.

kampachi crudo-
Topped with basil, radishes, and cherry pepper drops
Good quality fish, slightly acidic flavor went well with the basil and radish. Cherry peppers added a light spice. Overall lacked flavor though 3.5/5

capitelli- topped with a Gremolata and capers, olive oil and eggplant
Very savory and well cooked. This was tasty 4.5/5

Pork loin with celery figs and peppers
Very tender and flavorful. Nice sauce with savoriness and a sweetest added by the figs 5/5

Dessert was a pear sorbet-
So good! Very. Tasted exactly like a pear. No added sugar no additives. so good! 5/5“

“FOOD cant be beat. You go here for the food. AUTHENTIC SICILIAN. One of the only boston area italian places that serve a rabbit option (a common sicilian food). The portion sizes are large. They make some pasta in house (fusili), and some deserts (tiramisu). Sauce is excellent.
Tiramisu Is made in-house and one of the best in the area in my opinion- moist and perfect. Many deserts are not made inhouse. I dont recommend what they call gelato. It's simply ice cream, and not the buttery texture you would expect from gelato. It is good, but not the expected texture of gelato.
I've had many dishes here. One of the only places I will order lasagna. It's made right! Chicken saltimboca is the best I've ever had. picatta dishes also excellent.
service was poor this last time I went. Silverware was quite dirty, and the one server did not have help so timing was quite slow. He was accommodating inspire of the silverware he admitted was awful... replaced all our silverware. The one bathroom is small, and not handicap accessible. also quite dirty, trash was piled high. These two issues can be remedied easily. I have to be honest in the review to be an agent of change - because this is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the Boston area. I rarely give 5 stars. The food deserves it!!!!

“Mark and Toni's in the Cushing Square area of Belmont is a great casual lunch and dinner spot. The pizzas are cooked in a coal fired oven that heats the pizza at a very high temperature so they are ready quick. It's a thin Neapolitan style pizza with fresh toppings. I recommend the buffalo chicken pizza, pepperoni or vegetable if you are a vegetarian. Also not to be missed are their coal fired chicken wings, burgers, salads and cheesesteak subs. They also have a beer and wine bar. Order at the takeout counter and then they will come over to the bar to serve you is my best advice as there isn't always a server at the bar. Also, the owner Vahe is a very nice man and welcoming to all guests. It's a local family run business.“

“One of my favorite spots in Boston. The tasting menu is constantly changing according to seasonal ingredients, all of which are locally sourced. The tasting menu is always 6 courses. Vegetables and fruits are usually at the forefront of dishes, but fish and meat are the main course. Everything is always delicious. Nothing pretentious here. Just simple ingredients cooked with great technique to fantastic results. Desserts are also super creative and always finish strong.

“Great food. Had oysters and blackened sword fish. Both the fish and the side were delicious. The fish was tasty and not dry. The crème brûlée was flavorful, creamy, and not too sweet.

The host was wonderful and prompt in getting our requests. The setting is also nice as it gave a Parisian feel to it.“
