“This has been our go to spot for over 10 years now in Hamden! Great for comfort, food or brunch and always a fun atmosphere. The service has gotten so much better over the years and everyone there is incredibly sweet and friendly. I love that they keep good staples on the menu, but are always trying to reinvent New dishes to complement the old standbys. And even though prices have raised at most other places, this place still remains incredibly affordable.“

After being greeted by a friendly hostess at the door, we were seated immediately, walking into a cute rustic ambience surrounded by quirky art! “I love the ambiance of this place. I went for a date night and it was the perfect romantic vibe for our dinner. The staff was attentive and our food was very tasty and reasonably priced. I wish the drink menu was a little more elevated and then I would've been truly impressed. Chef brought our food to the table and we also got to meet the manager for a moment who checked in on us, it was nice to feel taken care of. I plan to come back.“

“I happened to drive by and see people sitting outside eating. It looked like a great place to stop. I went by myself. I was able to find free parking right outside the restaurant. The menu I was looking at was mostly breakfast and brunch. The price range was about $15 on up. I got a gingerale and their house wings as well as fries. Everything was good.. My bill was $21. The waitress was very attentive and nice and gave recommendations. I would recommend checking this place out. It had a nice atmosphere.“

“My wife and I decided at the last minute to go out on a Saturday evening and we picked Marie Louise Bistro for dinner. We sat outside and had a genuinely wonderful meal! While you often see the same staff there for years, our server this time was young and new to the industry. Despite that, you could tell she had received training from the other staff, and she did a fantastic job. A very good sign! She had another waiter show her how to open and pour the wine, but aside from that we’d have barely known she was new to the job. As for the food, it was excellent. I’d give 9 or 10 out of 10 for everything and my wife enjoyed her meal too. I had a 3-course that included a surf and turf special, and my wife had duck confit. It’s incredibly reasonably priced for the quality of food IMO. A gem of a restaurant! If any of you reading this have never been then I’d definitely recommend a visit!“

“I usually try to stop here when passing through BWI, because the cocktails are among some of the best I've had. My most recent visit was no exception as far as my drink (the Baltimore Cosmo) was concerned, but it was especially nice because the bartender, Khadijah, was very friendly and a good conversationalist. “The food was great! The owner explained how he brought food recipes from Afghanistan. Two of us shared the Kabuli Gosht Palau with Kabul eggplant. We also had the pumpkin called Kabul Kaddo that comes with bread. The flavors and freshness of the food are what stand out to me. We also enjoyed the Shugufa (means flower bud in Arabic) tea. It’s a whole pot of tea with a flower in it. It had a subtle flavor and aromatic smell. We ended with an order of Baklava. Everything tastes like it’s from someone’s home and unlike anything I’ve had in a restaurant. The prices are reasonable for the quality of the food. The restaurant, though, is small. Make a reservation so you are sure to be seated. The restaurant seems to do a lot of takeout. The business also displays beautiful rugs for sale that adds to the feel of Afghanistan. For me, the experience of eating the food and drinking the tea in this sweet place was calm and comforting.“

“You have limited choices in Terminal E while waiting on an international flight. The place isn’t large so seating at peak hours is a problem. However, they do pack your food to go. You order at the bar and pay, then they will call you number when your food is ready. The bartender will give you your drinks after you order/pay. I thought the bar was well stocked and the food selection wasn’t great, but it wasn’t too bad. My food tasted okay - it’s bar food at a very busy airport. You’re not going to get anything fancy and you can make a gluten free meal out of what’s on the menu, if necessary. This is a good choice if you’re hungry just manage your expectations.“

“This was a date night with my love and we had an exquisite experience from start to finish. He had the Samke Tajen (Salmon) which was very well seasoned and I had the braised lamb shank and it was absolutely delectable. The drinks were very well hand crafted cocktails with an amazing aroma to it. The ambiance was so gorgeous, it felt like we were not in Baltimore anymore. The service was out of this world! We met the owner, the GM, the captain, and our sessions served Dean who treated us like royalty! Overall everything was pure perfection!“

I only planned on coming here one night, but after how excellent everything was, I had to go back a second night to try other items on the menu. The drinks were excellent. The food was very good. Everything was cooked how I asked for it. The service was also very good. The second night, it was a little slower, but there was a private party, so it was understandable. I will be back when I'm in the area for another game. I recommend two things. One make a reservation. Two recommend you try it“

“Food has always been delicious however… …the last beef bao sandwich was disappointing because I had to search for the meat through the vegetation. “Best place for vegetarian food on campus and super customizable. A meal swipe gets you a wrap or salad with a base (lettuce or spinach) 4 toppings, a protein (chicken or tofu), and a dressing. My go-to is a wrap with spinach as the base, feta, olives, cucumbers, and chickpeas as the toppings, Beyond sausage (you have to pay extra for this) as the protein, and raspberry vinaigrette as the dressing.

“The distillery tour was a great experience! Our tour guide Paige was very friendly and well-informed, and we got to get up close and personal with the entire distilling process! I can still smell the whiskey mash and the bottling room.
The tour finished with a tasting of five whiskeys, including their 8-year reserve, and one of their mixed cocktails - a great way to determine which whiskies I wanted more of!
It wasn’t warm enough to enjoy their great outdoor space along the water, so I plan to return again in the spring! All in all, a delightful evening.“

In a tourist area so maybe to some it was nice. I liked the cozy atmosphere but the food was not impressive to me“

“We had the most magical dinner at The Charleston. The 5-course with wine pairings was incredible! Magic comes at a price but if you have the means or a special occasion to celebrate choose the Charleston!“

We were only in town for a day visiting a family member in the hospital. After hearing the story, the reaction was “say no more, what can we get for your wife?” The food was outstanding. Food: I ordered the fried chicken, biscuit & gravy omelet, and thought it tasted amazing. The gravy added a rich, savory taste to the omelet. Very delicious meal and I recommend.

Service: The service was very slow this day, which is why I’m giving it 4/5. We were told a 10 minute wait but instead got seated 20 minutes later. Even ordering food and waiting for our food took awhile. We hoped for better and quicker service overall.

Atmosphere: The ambiance/atmosphere was pleasant, but very packed.The tables were so close to each other, it’s impossible to not bump into other people and tables when getting out.

Overall, based on the food I recommend.“
