“My Family and I stopped here because we love Greek food and heard this was authentic Greek food. First thing I tried was the calamari appetizer, as we are from Louisiana and love our seafood. The calamari hands down was the best I have ever had. The texture, the flavor, everything about it was fantastic. You can get that kind of quality in a 5 Star restaurant. Next home made fry’s, absolutely delicious. Don’t left me forget the Spanakopita, first time hearing it and eating and also fell in love with it. I had the Big Fat Gyro lamb, as well as my son and wife. Again another fantastic dish. Full of flavor and the size of these are huge so you’re getting a great deal. My wife also order a platter of Souvlaki and a Gyro platter as well for us to try. Completely delicious. Hands down such a great place. I will definitely be coming back my next trip. “We took the family out to dinner tonight, and tried N&S on a whim. We were very pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, quick service, and quality food. Everything was hot and tasty, fries crispy and well-seasoned. Portions and price for value are both really good. We will definitely return!“

“I came here during my lunch break on a weekday. All the pizza options were available and I got the buffalo chicken slice. I don't make that much $, but the pricing was totally worth it. ($6 I believe) The pictures don't do it justice, but if you like NY style thin crust with that grease drip, you'll love this. The crust had that dough bubble that I love, and you could hear the crunch echo throughout the cafeteria. I would love to see some gluten-light offerings in the future but for now? A quick bite for good quality? You won't be disappointed.“

“love chop’t but at a loss on the variances of sweet potato cooking. while it is my opinion that sweet potatoes are not a veg that should have a bite, but here to educated! if my expectation or grasp is far from norm. totally get why the brussels or carrots in my bowl have bite. but have spent most of my lunch separating the sweets out of fork range. would appreciate other veg options with same or close nutrition deets available in consistent cooked or prepped form.“

“Fantastic spot! The drinks are to die for—try the spicy bees knees!— and the food is great. The atmosphere is perfectly moody and the music is good and played there perfect level so that it can be enjoyed but it is still easy to hear conversation with your party. I especially love the cozy couches in the back lounge.“

The food was really good. I do have a few personal critiques I could mention, but overall it was enjoyable and worth the wait.
Speaking of the wait, definitely bring your patience. There seemed to be a disconnect between the servers, kitchen, and host stand. We had a 1:00 PM reservation for the buffet-style breakfast but weren’t seated until around 1:30–1:40, despite several open tables. When we finally got to the buffet, most of the food was gone and we had to wait for it to be replenished.
While the service issues could use improvement, I still recommend giving them a try.“

My Parmesan Chicken Salad Sandwich ($10.50) delicious. The small Devon Salad ($4.50) and Iced Passion Fruit Tea ($4.00) completed a very good, reasonably priced, quick lunch.“

“We are visiting from Tennessee and wanted authentic Thai cuisine. We found it at Sampannee!!! The best Thai meal I have ever eaten. The cocktails were delicious and the food was perfection! “Best way to describe it is as an Indian inspired - chipotle, noodles &co, poke place, etc. choose one or more proteins, carbs, veggies, toppings, sauces.

It allows for a variety of combinations that one should find very satisfying. The portion size was pretty good and the value was also very good but consider the high rent location you are in and take that into account. Restaurants in that general area by the convention center are “expense account joints”. I was glad they were there when I just wanted to take my time and eat something satisfying in a quiet place.“

“This was my first time going to this place. They only make one size pizza(small). The crust is fresh They even have cauliflower crust. They make the pizza in front of you and they have alot of toppings to choose from even Vegan options. After they place it in a wood fire oven and finish your pizza with any sauce you want. “This past Thursday (4/25), I went to the restaurant to use my birthday rewards to purchase a meal. Unfortunately, the link to retrieve my reward was not working. However, the cashier was nice enough to notify the manager and the manager gave me a discount after I showed him my email with the rewards information. “Red Hound Pizza has become the favorite pizza place in Takoma Park for me and many of my friends who live nearby. Their pizzas are hearty and delicious with a thick, 100% whole wheat crust using flours that are grown and milled by one of their neighbors just down the street. They also use local produce when possible and therefore their veggie pizza rotates every two weeks. They also have soft serve which rotates regularly with fun toppings like roasted pear or dehydrated chocolate cake. The owners are really great. The pizza is on the expensive side ($4-5/slice) compared to other pizza so you gotta pay a premium for high-quality ingredients. They also sell pizza by the slice. You can dine-in for casual eating -- they only have a few small tables inside and some more picnic tables in a closed off parking lot in the back. Take note: their pizza is rectangular! And the crust will taste different from almost any other pizza you've had bc of the 100% whole wheat sourdough. Also they don't have gluten-free options but they do always have a vegan option. fwiw Red Hound always uses 100% whole grains -- this will appeal to some (more protein, more fiber!) and not to others.“

“Food was pretty good, service was good and very hospital, I only got a burrito with a soda but I liked it, the burrito had a small plate for some reason, the chips and salsa they had were good but the salsa was pretty much watery, would go again pretty just be careful with where you sit they have this elevation so if your on the edge it’s easy to forget your elevated“

“Solid Neapolitan style pizza. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, given the pizza I had was very dry and overdone. You can tell the dough has potential- nice crumb, good flavor, but poor execution. The reason I gave 4 stars it is because this is the first time I’ve seen a persimmon pizza ever - and it was an unexpectedly good combo.“
