“Went there to celebrate my birthday. Sushi was very fresh and perfectly prepared. The slices were excellent, which made the fish delicate, tender and without too much dark pieces which have more fishy taste, no tendons/skin/muscle to make it difficult to chew. It was a delightful experience! The amount of different fish/seafood species was surprising. A special place to go to celebrate, if you love sushi. We paired it with a nice bottle of Italian Sparkling, which was an excellent recommendation by our server.“

“I stopped in with friends before a event Sunday evening. The staff was warm and welcoming. I had the lentil sambusas and a peanut-infused coffee at the staff’s recommendation. The food was fast and delicious- the sambusas were warm and spicy, and the peanut coffee was delicious! In a kind gesture, the chef sent over a sampling of sushi to our table. Fresh and refreshing, the sushi was a nice complement to my sambusas and hot beverage. I’m not on this side of town often, but now I have a reason to come back.“

“Our visit to Zeppelin was absolutely breathtaking! From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with the most exceptional hospitality by Ari and the rest of the staff. The atmosphere of the restaurant is truly one-of-a-kind, paying tribute to the Golden Age of the Great Passenger Airships. But the real standout of our experience was the food. It was absolutely divine. We began our meal with the Edamame and Miso Soup, both of which were the perfect starters and set the stage for the rest of the meal. The Seaweed Salad and Cucumber Sunomono were also refreshing and bursting with flavor. For our main course, we decided to indulge in a variety of dishes from the KushiYaki (Japanese Charcoal Grill) menu. The Ebi Shumai and Beef Harumaki were both cooked to perfection, while the Takoyaki was a fun and tasty snack. But the standout dish was the Okonomiyaki, with its tempura, red ginger, okonomiyaki sauce, and mayo creating a truly unique and flavor-packed experience. From the sushi bar, we sampled a variety of rolls including the Negitoro Roll, Spicy Tuna Roll, and Rainbow Roll. Each one was expertly crafted and perfectly balanced in flavor. We also tried the Sashimi Sampler, which was a fantastic way to try a range of different fish. For dessert, we couldn't resist trying the Green Tea Ice Cream, which was the perfect way to end the meal on a sweet note. Our experience at Zeppelin was truly extraordinary! The food was delicious and the hospitality we received from Ari and the rest of the staff was top-notch. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a truly unique and memorable dining experience.“

“Ninja Sushi should be packed on a Friday evening. The Japanese food they serve is healthy and delicious. Our waitress was exceptional served us a plate of crunchy crab on the house. The only disappointment was the seafood soup. We both enjoyed the salmon shrimp, tempura calamari, and sumptuous, creamy cheesecake. We were surprised at the amount of food we got for under $50. I highly recommend this unpretentious, family friendly restaurant in Colesville.“

“One of my favorite sushi spots for lunch when the mood strikes. The location is unassuming and if you aren't looking for it you will walk right by. Not the cheapest option but the quality of the fish speaks for itself. As far as sushi, I can only speak to the nigiri and sashimi but the various types I have had all have been fresh with good texture. The beef udon bowl was light and a great soup without being heavy. This place is only open for lunch so if you can swing it, it's worth a try.“

“Love this place immensely. Service was top notch and food is SO GOOD. I got the spicy salmon roll and the Ninja Turtle specialty roll and neither disappointed. Probably the best spicy salmon roll i’ve had, ever. Period hands down, no competition. Ambiance is great-standard sushi bar spot.
Will 1000% be back! I’m currently typing this as I finish my food. It’s that good—I couldn’t wait!“

“We went for the summer restaurant week. You get a cold and a hot appetizer, assortment of sushi and a dessert. We opted for the soft shell crab and shabu shabu ramen, both were delicious and served hot out of the kitchen. Sushi is top quality and decadent of course. Hojicha pudding is uniquely toasty and silky.
Not all RW deals are worth going, but I’d recommend the selection at sushi taro for the quality and the value of the food.“

“Hidden Gem (at least I didn’t know about it lol) I happened upon it and decided to give it a shot. I was the only diner so I had the place to myself.
Solid sushi without the pomp and circumstance. Volcano roll was good!
Will go here regularly.“

“This popular restaurant was quite busy when we went. The menu, same as the other Plantas, offered a lot. We had the Queso Fundido, which was great, but oily. The Tres Leches dessert was exceptionally good. The only drawback to the restaurant was that it was extremely noisy, This may have to do with when we went, late on a weekend.“

“It’s solid. It’s a little off the mark on some dishes, the quality of the fish is excellent if that’s all you want then for the cost it’s really well positioned in the city. If it’s not sushi it’s probably really tasty but a little clunky in terms of preparation. Overall a win.“

“This place is a gem! Been going here for years and they are absolutely lovely. My go-tos are the (vegetarian) soba/udon soup, shrimp dumplings (off menu item) and the sushi. Also excellent cucumber salad!
Not sure why some folk here have complained about the prices - you really can’t beat the value of this place in an area full of overpriced lunch spots.“

“Intimate but not cramped or loud, lovely decor. Best food I had all day, after 8 hours bouncing around Dupont. The eel bowl is great-- hot, filling, & tasty, and if you like sweet drinks DEFINITELY try the plum wine!! New favorite wine!!!
Green tea mochi ice cream is a restrained bitter-sweet that's complimented by the almost candy-sweet wine. Great meal, great price, I only wish I was in DC more so I could eat here all the time!!“
“This is a great place to shop as a vegan. They have so many vegan products. They have so many delicious vegan options at their food bar too. I love how you can get a healthy vegan meal at a relatively decent price when on the go. They also have lots of vegan options in thier bakery like vegan muffins, scones, donuts, turnovers, and cookies. This is one of my favorite places to grab a quick meal.“

“This really cute little Japanese shop was a great experience. On the simple side, but sushi was delicious and my friends enjoyed their food as well (one got chicken soup, and one got chicken teriyaki noodles). The workers were also very welcoming and nice, especially when they learned it was our first time coming to eat there. Reasonable priced, will be back again :)“

“The place was small, cute, and charming. True mom and pop shop, the owners were so kind and doting. Tried the Bibimbap bowl and the mint lemonade and it did NOT disappoint. The owner and the cook herself, even mixed the Bibimbap for us. It felt like eating dinner at Grandma's house, and I can't wait to go back!“

“This restaurant is totally vegetarian. However, I must say to 'meat lovers' you won't miss your meat.
Every dish I ate was tasty. Most interesting was the spicy tuna sushi roll with watermelon as a tuna substitute.
I highly recommend this restaurant for a tasty culinary dining experience in the city of Washington DC.“

“My family are regulars. I was initially worried that opening a Japanese place just two blocks from Sushi Jin wouldn’t be good for either restaurant but we’ve been going to both at least 1/mo since Kushi opened. Outside of sushi, their menus are pretty different and have their own strengths. Highly recommend Kushi’s chicken katsu and curries. Kushi wings are also great. Staff has always been nice and there’s usually another table with kids, like us. But it’s not crazy. It’s a great space but half the time it can get a bit (cooking) smoky.
Kid-friendliness: This is not a place for rowdy kids since it’s one big open space for everyone to hear and see anything that might go crazy. But the staff is flexible and perfectly welcoming for grade-school aged kids. There’s also never a line for either of the (gender-less) bathrooms.“

“I really enjoyed this restaurant. The people were super nice. The service was outstanding. They have excellent sushi 🍣. Also, I enjoyed trying 1 of their sake. I appreciated how knowledgeable they were about the different ones they offered. I definitely be back to this wonderful restaurant again.
Parking: There's plenty of it. The restaurant is 1 of 3 in a strip center located right off Route 1/Washington Boulevard.“

“I got the tonkatsu ramen. The broth was rich. The slices of pork were fresh, juicy, tender, slightly sweet, and abundant. There were at least 6 slices in that bowl. The assortment of vegetables and narutomaki added unique, delicious tastes and textures to the dish. Their food presentation is perfect. You'd have to see it to believe it. The ramen actually looks like it's straight out of those food commercials and restaurant food posters. All in all, it's a great place to eat.“

“I went on Thursday for lunch. The sesame chicken was good, but I wasn’t particularly impressed by the mango boba. They must’ve been understaffed, because I had to wait a long time to have my order taken, despite being the only person in line. When someone did eventually take my order, he did so efficiently, which I appreciate.“

“GREAT value— 50% off sushi after 7pm (from $10.5 to $5.25)!!! The tuna and salmon avocado rolls are delish and $10.5 or 50% off before closing (if there are any left).
The stickers are SUPER CUTE and $1 each!
They also offer great drinks (craft yuzu soda, topo chico, boba tea etc.)
♿️ Union Market’s entrance is accessible, but tables are mostly high top (low tables by the window and outside) and the aisles are crowded most of the day. Also good lighting. Very loud.

“I work in Laurel and the Chinese restaurant closest to my job is disgusting. I wanted Chinese today and chose to go here due to the reviews. It's a 15 minute drive away but definitely worth it! Food is delicious, hot and came out fast. Very affordable as well. I've found my new Chinese spot!“
