“The first time I went to Levain Bakery ... I was in the Georgetown location, and I was concerned that this spot wouldn't be as good because you know, how could it be?

But let me tell you the Levain Bakery skills transfer ... These people can bake... I have never had a cookie like this... they are sooo delicious 🍪👩🏾‍🍳... I wish we had one of these in my town. The cookie is almost as big as a biscuit and the chocolate chip to cookie ratio is unbelievable.... It's quite amazing. I will never be afraid to walk into this store, no matter the location... Go there and eat all the delicious baked goods, you might need to hit the gym or fast the next day, but wow it's worth it no matter what!!!“

“The food was good but they said they didn’t have water for paying customers, only bottles for purchase. Then after a while someone begrudgingly brought water for our toddler but not for the rest of us. The heat index outside was over 100 degrees. Very strange. We didn’t just walk in and ask for water, we ordered and paid for our food order. Either they’re desperate for the additional $3 per bottle, were trying to get a bigger tip, or just lacked basic customer service skills. They’re only getting 4 stars because we used to be regulars and this was atypical a few years ago, otherwise it would be 2 or 3 stars.“

“Nice ambience, friendly staff and vegan croissant and pumpkin/carrot cake that actually taste nice. Let’s not get carried away, it’s not as nice as a really good French croissant made with butter, but that’s probably impossible. Several other vegan options for breakfast like avocado toast and breakfast bowls. No English breakfast tea or soya milk, but they did have Earl Grey and several other types of non-dairy milk. I will definitely be back next time I’m in the area.“

We all agree the vegan GF cupcakes (yes you read that right) are the BEST cupcakes we have ever had and we are not vegan or GF. Order early, Rhonda always sells out. Rhonda is also fantastic with special orders. We try bakeries in every city we visit, the ones with 5 stars that everyone raves about. None even come close to Rhonda’s. I can’t explain it. Chemistry is chemistry, but Rhonda just creates in a way that does not compare to anything else on the market. Don’t hesitate! Rhonda’s baked goods are worth every penny.“

She explained the different assortments and helped me find cupcake toppers for my occasion. In no time, I walked out with 4 dozen fresh, delicious, adorable bundtini cupcakes which were a huge hit with everyone at work!
