I wasn’t expecting much and wasn’t sure about the all you can eat menu, but it was incredible. I had three rounds of orders with server recommendations. Shout out to Marcus for the phenomenal service and recommendations. Everything was delicious. Every. Single. Thing. The outdoor seating was great too and let me enjoy the nice day. In short, I came in just looking for a quick lunch, and left feeling like I just had a Michelin-star dining experience. It was, you could say, Surreal. I highly recommend this place.“

“I came here for a friend's birthday, and she rented a private karaoke room. We had an absolute blast! I didn't get a chance to try the food, but everything I saw coming out looked really good.
The karaoke room was pretty warm, but I just assumed it was because there were a lot of us in a small space, so it wasn't a big deal.
The real problem was when our room time was over and we went into the main area. It was HOT—like, no air at all. And I'm not talking about the Chris Brown and Jordin Sparks song. 😂 It was honestly unbearable. With the heat wave we've been having, there's really no excuse for the AC to be struggling that much.

If I had been blindfolded and didn't know that I entered the establishment via the parking lot of Belle View Shopping Center I would have thought I was in an upscaled restaurant in downtown DC. This has become our favorite date night spot. Delicious food options and creative cocktails along with exceptional service (Brett) made our evening one to remember. “After dinner at Maydan, we wandered over to Medina—and what a perfect way to end the evening.

We later learned that Medina is Maydan’s sister restaurant. While they serve many of the same dishes, the atmosphere couldn’t feel more different.

Walking inside feels like being transported to a different world. The flowing fabric draped from the ceiling creates the feeling of sitting beneath an elegant tent, making the entire space feel intimate, luxurious, and unlike anywhere else.

The cocktails were outstanding.

I ordered the Farmer’s Market after our server, Orlando, described it as tasting like “your healthy green monster juice… but with alcohol.”

He absolutely nailed it.

Fresh, vibrant, herbaceous, and incredibly refreshing.

My friend ordered The Serpent and an espresso martini. Even as someone who’s picky about espresso martinis, I have to admit this one was exceptional—light, balanced, and dangerously easy to drink. I only had a few sips (I’m very sensitive to caffeine), but they were worth every one of them.

We finished the evening with tea served with drops of absinthe, which was a memorable and elegant ending to an already incredible night.

“Last weekend, I went to a new restaurant near Boqueria Dupont. I felt happy right away. The room was warm. Soft music played. A waiter smiled at me. He took me to my table fast.

First, I had soup. It cost $8. It was hot and tasty. Next, I had chicken and rice. It cost $22. The chicken was very good. For dessert, I had baklava. It cost $6. It was sweet.
The staff were kind. They checked on me two times. They answered all my questions.

When I left, the waiter said thank you. He asked me to come back.
I walked home with a big smile. This was a great meal. I want to go back soon.“

A Hidden Gem in Old Town Alexandria!

Alice Cocktail Bar exceeded every expectation and delivered an absolutely phenomenal dining and cocktail experience from start to finish.

The cocktails were outstanding. I started with the Alice, a beautifully crafted blend of Roku Gin, Elderflower Liqueur, Lychee Liqueur, Butterfly Pea, Yuzu, and Egg White. It was light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. I also enjoyed the Gold Rush, made with Four Roses Bourbon, Cointreau, Honey, Yuzu, and Egg White—a smooth, flavorful cocktail that quickly became a favorite.

My partner ordered the Beach House and the Flamingo, both of which were exceptional. The Beach House combined Espolon Blanco, Banhez Mezcal, Passion Fruit, Pineapple, Aperol, and Lime for a tropical burst of flavor. The Flamingo was equally delicious and was served in an adorable tiki glass that added a fun touch to the experience.

For appetizers, we ordered the Crab Rangoon and the Grilled Pork Sticky Rice. Let me just say—both were A1 delicious. The pork was perfectly marinated and grilled, and paired wonderfully with the sticky rice and chili garlic lime sauce.

For our entrées, we had the Crab Fried Rice and the Phuket Seafood. Both dishes were absolutely incredible. The Phuket Seafood, loaded with mixed seafood, onions, scallions, bell peppers, young peppercorns, sweet basil, carrots, and roasted chili sauce, was bursting with flavor. Chef’s kiss! The Crab Fried Rice was equally impressive. In my book, both dishes are award-winning.

What truly elevated the experience was the service. Our waitresses were attentive, knowledgeable, and spot-on with their recommendations throughout the evening. Their hospitality made an already fantastic experience even better.

Overall, Alice Cocktail Bar earns an easy A++. Amazing drinks, outstanding food, exceptional service, and a great atmosphere. I cannot wait to return.
