“Great ambience and good food. I would go back. My only complaint would be about the service, which was a bit strange. A couple staff members (including our server) kept trying to take our food, utensils, napkins, etc. as soon as they sensed we were slowing down. In spite of the fact that we told them several times that we wanted to continue nibbling on the bowl of fruit and fries that we were sharing, they kept trying to take them and eventually did just take them without asking even though we were still eating them. It seemed like they wanted to rush us out, except that our server never came back after that. We probably would have ordered another drink or even dessert if they had asked (they didn't) and eventually I had to flag someone down to ask for our bill almost an hour after they had taken our plates away.“

“Had the cauliflower shared plate which was very good, and one of the daily specials which was a seared fish with lentils, celery root and fennel and it was outstanding. Service was lovely. We arrived a little early for our 6:15 reservation and she continued to point out the pre-6 pm happy hour options, pointing out that we had 7 minutes left to order them, but was not pressuring or rushing us. There was a very tall slender gentleman who checked in on us, we had a very brief interaction with- bravo to him for converting warmth with an exceptional smile.

“I had a strange experience a couple of weeks ago. My partner and I have dined at this establishment several times and most recent was last year. I always enjoyed the service and experience. A friend was in town and we went to Georgetown on the fly. It was a Thursday evening and I noted that there were available dining tables through the app. However, the doors were closed and locked, so we then accessed what appeared to be a bar area adjacent to the restaurant --as I wondered if the entrance had changed. A gentleman with an apron on mumbled something about the restaurant and then asked if we wanted to be seated at the bar. We declined and moved on. I did not see any notification on your website that there was an event or closure, and assume you operate on Thursdays after 5:30PM. So I am unclear if you're even still operating.“

“We had a great time at this restaurant! My family and I came here while staying at the Hilton and my dad has a gluten allergy and dislikes garlic and onion. The chef Armando came to our table, listened to my dad’s concerns and made him a custom meal with plain lemon caper chicken, gluten free fries and a salad. He loved it and ate it all! We all loved our dishes as well and the service was amazing. Our server Manuel was super nice and I would recommend!“

Our server was a standout — we indicated a dietary restriction (shallots) when ordering one dish and he was thoughtful enough to flag similar ingredients (onions — not listed in the menu description) when we were ordering other dishes. “Cafe Colline is spectacular. I had a toddler with me, was dressed in an adidas track suit, and wanted real food as we waited for someone working in the area. Most of the customers were much better dressed and without a child. Nothing wrong with this, just painting the picture. The staff could not have been nicer and more professional. We were greeted with open arms, sat immediately, and served with absolute professionalism. My food (the fish) was so good I considered licking the plate. They don’t necessarily have a kid’s menu but offered numerous things to make a toddler. I went with the burger and fries. They complimented this with numerous dipping sauces and made the burger to order. The charge was minimal and fair. I always clean up after him as toddlers can be messy and they insisted on letting them clean up (I did it anyway). Restrooms were spotless and the kitchen area you pass was very clean and well organized. It’s a small spot full of big talent. This will be a regular for us. A must dine.“

“Grace is one of the best hosts/guest service technicians I have ever had the experience of being served by. She was consistently attentive with the perfect balance of space for the guest and attentiveness. The food was cooked as desired, however the branzino was definitely the best entree on the table, alongside the duck confit and specialty steak. The chicken + liver charcuterie was to die for IMPO and I consider myself to be very bougie about my cheese. Delicious food, wonderful service. I was indecisive about wine choices and Grace was particularly helpful with that process. We loved the drinks and the whole experience.“

“I ordered 3 items, only the French Opera Cake tasted good. The cake had a rich chocolate flavor, not too sweet, and a firm texture. I personally recommend it.
The Tuna Steak Tartare tasted horrible, I like raw tuna and salmon. But under a few pieces of tuna was a pile of tasteless avocado, they were tasteless and inedible. The only flavor was probably a little bit lemon juice, and I wouldn’t have known how to eat it without the bread.
That cup of Americano was the worst coffee I had in maybe half year. It was just like water and had no aroma.“

The pastries and, cakes, muffins and croissants are excellent. Their homemade jams are wonderful. Their breads, quite yummy! I love their iced coffee , which has s a very subtle taste of cocoa. And, I am a very picky coffee snob. Service is sometimes a little chaotic, but the staff is super friendly. Weekend mornings are insanely busy- a reflection of how good they are.
